  1. I like the sound of that! That would be a GREAT IDEA! I will tell you one thing, I would spend as much time in that area as it took to read and understand the history of the park! I guess I am just obsessed with history of places like Kings Island. -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-24-2002 at 9:21PM
  2. The Lord of the Rings idea is even worse than Tomb Rader, you can not go with a current theme, the rides need to be one of a kind and they need to have their own themeing and not be staged after a movie or something like that. I wish I were Bill Gates, I would offer Paramount twice what Kings Island is worth and the first two years of profits! If I had to buy all the parks in a package, then I would buy the rest of them too. I bet Kings Island could not be worth any more than $100,000,000.00 So I would offer them $200,000,000.00! Then I would turn that park around! Action Zone would be NO MORE! I would keep the rides that are currently there and re-theme them. I would make Drop Zone kind of like the Tower of Terror in Disney World, but much different so it would be authentic. All the gardens would recieve a MAJOR overhaul. The fountain would be restored to orignal condition, with the sculpted bushes and the rock beds instead of mulch and cheap maple trees! -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-24-2002 at 8:43PM
  3. Absolutley! They could have SOOOO much more entertainment then they do now, and it would not cost as much as you think! -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-24-2002 at 7:59PM
  4. I was talking to an employee when I was on the Eifel tower and he said they could double in size from what they are right now. I would have a problem if they took out the car ride, it is one of the orignal rides and that is one of the rides that gives the park its charm! -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-24-2002 at 1:02PM
  5. WOW! I would have liked to have heard that. -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-24-2002 at 11:14AM
  6. YEA! that too! -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-24-2002 at 11:02AM
  7. ok, I see. Why would they have two of them to begin with? If they are identical, I wonder why they would have put two stations in. -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-23-2002 at 10:35PM
  8. I am still upset that Paramount bought Kings Island. I have promised my self that if I ever have a business and it is liked by a lot of people that I will not change it as long as I live, at least that is in the way it is ran. It is always nice to see a business get larger and more profitable, but not change its authenticity! That is what Paramount has done to Kings Island, it has lost its charm, and it is almost to the point now that there is not turning back! They say now that the park it not very profitable, Well I say HOG WASH! If that is the case, then tell me how the original owners kept it so classy for years and still made a profit. They had all the shows and teeming, and the thing I miss the most is the street band that marched around and played music for all the guests. If you ask me teeming is everything because it is the atmosphere that sets the mood of the guests. Man that makes me so mad. LOL! it has been 10 years and I am still mad! I would have bought the park if I would have had the money! Hey, that brings up another point, how much does a park like that run these days? I wonder.... $100,000,000? more? less?
  9. So the cars could have been used as some kind of transprotation system between Coney Mall and Rivery town? Stuff like that is what makes me mad at Paramount! They take the "coolness" out of everyting. -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-23-2002, at 6:40PM

I only rode it once but it was cool! -adam 12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-23-2002 at 3:12PM
  12. The fountain! It needs to be put back to original condition! I think that Kings Island would be MUCH better off with one person calling the shots. It would be much more authentic that way! There would not be so many safety restrictions and there would not be the corporate advertising. Someone with an imagination, Kind of like Disney. Even today before making decisions, Mike Izener (sp) looks at what Walt himself would have wanted done. -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-23-2002 at 3:11pm
  13. How long ago did they close the one in river town? I have been going to Kings Island for over 10 years and I do not remember another station. -adam12

  17. I think that idea of haveing a new ride in 2004 sounds a little more realistic. I just can not see waiting until the season starts to announce a new ride. It just would not be good business, because you could increase ticket sales. -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-23-2002, at 9:28AM.
  18. Is there more than one side to that ride? I thought that there was only one track there. Did they remove one track? Please give me more information on the history of this ride. You guys got me interested now! I am fasinated with the history of the old rides. -Adam 12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-23-2002, at 9:23AM
