WOW! where to start! ALL the old park maps, TV commercials, Ride artifacts, Names of ALL the rides that have been removed. There was one ride they had back in the early 70's that I saw on the Brady Bunch, (when they filmed an episode there). It was red and kinda looked like a big round basket that spun around, and there was nothing but the G force holding you in. It was cool looking! My dad said he rode it but did not remeber the name of it. He also said you could spit when it was going a round and you could see it fly to the right and land on another person. I would guess that is why they took it out. Another one I do not know much about would be the "Flying Duchman" what kind of ride was that? They also had another one that looked like a Roulet wheel. That is all I can think of for now. I am sure MANY others will come to me! -adam12

Is the International restaurant still open? -adam12

Thanks for the info! I was sorry to see that go myself! I liked that ride a lot. -adam12

That Hard Rock Cafe is a GREAT IDEA!!! That is so good I think it should be sent to one of the people at PKI!!! If nothing else it would be an Idea for them to throw around. Also send it to the Hard Rock people and see what they think, getting them on our side would help alot! I never even thought about that, that is a REALLY good idea. -adam12

What does "SBNO" stand for? -adam12

Same thoughts here! -adam12

I have rode face/off about 4 times and I do not plan on getting on it again. The last time I got off of it I was having chest pains, I see face/off as a very unplesant rush, and I do not find it fun. It sure ain't The Beast! -adam12

I liked the Giant slides they had. They were a hoot! -adam12

I heard that they were replaceing the track on The Beast this winter. That is the reason they had one last ride for 2002. I guess they think it will change the way it rides. The ride will probably be a little smoother. BTW, The Beast is my favorite coster period! -adam12

I will tell you one thing! TOP GUN will go before The Beast does! -adam12
-
I will probably ride it once just to say I did. I am 20 years old so it does not intrest me very much. -adam12

I agree. I personally do not like the floorless cars. -adam12

How long have you been going to PKI? Because I rode Top Gun the year it opened and I can remember my legs dangling from the ride and fearing for my life. I also remember having a toy that I had won from one of the games in the park and I had to hold on to it tightly so I would not fall out of the ride. -adam12

I am talking about rides like "TOP GUN", that ride can not last of ever because it is theemed after a movie. A ride like the "Beast" will last forever because it is its own ride and has class! -adam12

Sounds good to me! Sorry to be so negative. I have a season pass for 2003 anyone else? I think it would be cool if PKI unlimited.com sold hats or maybe pins to ware when we go to Kings Island, then we would know who each other is! We could even put our user names on them! -adam12

I am sorry I came over so strongly. I just think that a corporation like Paramount can not make the park as special as if one person or a small group of people owned it. Before Paramount a small group of people owned it and therefore it was easer to make decisions and things got done faster and were done with higher standards. -adam12
-
I think that I could go either way. I still think they should put in more rides that are "long term" and have their own special features and are not theemed after movies, shows etc. BTW, How did the park theem their rides before Paramount? NOT AFTER MOVIES. LOL! They always showed a profit and Kings Island was a cool place to go. -adam12
-
WOW, that is sad. It figures that Paramount would not hire anyone else that knows how to do that! I am so mad I could spit. Big corporations take a great thing and just destroy it! -adam12

When Top Gun first opened, they had the open floor cars. That is the way it was the last time I rode it, before last fall. I had not been to Kings Island since 1996. I now have a season pass for the 2003 season and do not plan to wait so long between visits next time! It sure has changed since 1996, and not for the better in MANY cases! -adam12

I say if they don't bring back anything but the "street band" "marching band" or what ever you want to call it, I would be happy. That is some great entertainment! And it boosts the mood of the guests! -adam12 -Last post by "adam12" was on 12-26-2002 at 10:31AM
