It is very stupid how they trim you down on Maverick right after the launch. You start going 70 mph, everything is wooshing past you're head, you feel you cant go any faster, BAM! You hit a trim. You've been reduced to about 10mph. I am not going to contridict my above post by saying it's pointless because it's not But really why launch 70mph and then slow the train by 20mph, when you can just launch it at 50mph?
-
Well, do you think they would NOT want to save money? And you know this how? In many situations, the train would be traveling to fast to smoothly handle an oncoming element, so the sensible option would be to add a trim so the ride is smoother in said portion of the ride. Not to Mention, that the addition of trims frequntly causes less stress on the train, which causes for less frenquent tune ups, checking of the train, replacement of the wheels, and closure of the ride. So not only does it save the park money (which can be spent on more rides), it makes for a more reliable, and most oftenly enjoyable, ride. So when you sit there and Whine, and rant, and b*ch about trims just because they reduce the speed of the train, please take into consideration all the implications of the trim, good or bad, and don't complain because a park is making a good decision.

What rides make you "black out"

Sounds like you had fun! Reminds me of what my dad says every time I get off of SoB: -

I've never blacked-out, I've never tunnel-visioned, I've never greyed-out! And Yes, I have rode Invertigo, BLSC, TTD, and Millennium Force. Only the last 2 have I even come close to greying out. TTD just pins me to the seat, and MF causes me to, for some reason, throw my hands in the air and enjoy the ride of my life -
Beast Rider, please give up. This is an extremely pointless arguement, it's not like your constant ranting is going to change the fact that the trims are there, and, although it may shock you, they are for a reason. Without the trims after Mavericks launch, not only would it take away another valuable block, but the track proceeding the trims would be very painful indeed. You constantly argue and complian about the trims on many various rides, but did it ever occur to you that maybe there is a reason, other than to give babies like you something to b*ch about? do you have any Idea how hard or expensive it is to install a trim? Do you honestly think they would go through the trouble of installing a trim if it didn't make the ride better or more enjoyable in a way? So please, pardon my French but shut up. You are completely unaware of the reasons behind the trims yet you think you have the right to complain about them because you think that they kill the ride. BTW, the Trims on Maverick have been there since opening.

Beech Bend. Me likey Beech Bend.
-
Kings Island still does. . .for now.
-
Beech Bend is a very underestimated park. People usually don't think to much of it (As I did), and end up loving it. They have the one of the Best Wild Mouse's ever, a simply dumbfounding selection of exellent flats, and the Kentucky Rumbler, which is a true marvel by itself. It's a great park and an exellent place to visit for any age group.

Which makes it really confusing when they say "Go to the middle row," or "Go to the 3rd row".

The Beast does hurt. I used to be scared out of my wits on Drop Tower but after my recent encounter with the Top Thrill Dragster (great ride by the way), I think it's not nearly as bad.
-
awww, but me likey the emptyness!
-
I have no clue what you ment by Hallowed weekends, but when I went to HH on the second to last day there, it was empty. Like, COMPLETELY. Like, no one. It was sweet.

The return of FearFest! The much better names have returned. Mua ha ha!
-
God who cares if they say, "Racer" or "The Racers". We all know what they're talking about, so let's not get into a footer-footing argument . . . .

Do you know how many people get effected by stobes? I find it disorenting, and think about how bad it would be flipping upsidedown and such. And as far as Cheap Theming goes, I really don't care for the themeing! I am just there for the rides. And for me, the themeing doesn't makee the ride as much as it adds to the ride. Like Extra Credit, and the Crypt in my books Aced the test but swung and missed on the bonus points. Plus it's not like its not within Cedar Fairs power to give it a fantastic themeing, They've got a massive Debt Load! They're trying desprately to payof a debt, and you expect them to pay insert large amount of money here to retheme a ride? Not to mention, they have bigger fish to fry on the other side of the midway!

It's fine. It's safe. I highly suggest going on it as it is one of the best Flat (or, well,) rides at the park. Best way at Kings Island to get your heart beating and your pants peeing!

The Vortex technically has 2 corkscrews. Not one. Either call it two Corkscrews or a double Corkscrew. And as far as Corkscrew-Flat spin goes, Arrow calls them Corkscrews, B&M calles them Flat Spins.

Not to mention that all structures have to be able to move or sway in high winds, or else stress builds up and causes it to break. And when there is a train going 50+ miles per hour on said structure, it can seem to shake and sway more than used to.

I predict a 45 minute wait, for Flight Deck. I find Tuesdays in Early August to be the best times.

^How in the hell can you possibly enjoy SoB?
-
The Beast is terrible lately. I used to ride it always because it would be inconsistant, and I knew that if todays ride was rough next week's ride would be smooth. I've ridden the Beas like 5 times this year and each was terrbile. I get jereked around like all get out and my back gets jackhammered on the turns. I sit there and BEG for them to turn the trims on high because those turns, taken at the speeds they're at, are really rough. It's like each turn is a mini-SoB-rosebowl. And don't get me started with the SoB.
