  1. Yeah, I remember my first ride on Flight Deck. The car stopping in the middle of the lift hill scared the living crap out of me... I now laugh at myself Edit: By the way, those cute little monkeys they offer you are hard to pass up. I have three or four sitting on my nightstand.
  2. You're just getting old Kidding, but I haven't noticed this at the park yet. But it does make me mad hearing about it, it's completely pointless to do something like that. Just creates more problems for the workers (My friends and peers, mainly)
  3. And such a modest one, too. Tee hee. Lol, she (and myself) rock out on cheap plastic instruments. We don't need modesty But back on topic, Great pics guys. Looks like you had alot of fun
  4. Sounds like you two had a pretty fun day My siste....*Clears throat* My brother refuses to ride any of the fun rides with me when we go. His day at KI is limited to Adventure Express, The Racer, and Backlot Stunt Coaster, along with a few other rides I don't care enough about to mention.
  5. I for one, REALLY appreciate the attention they pay to their trash cans. It's nice when you have to throw something away to be able to just look around (or look 2 feet) and see just what you need a few steps away. Amen to that A couple other parks I've been to (Namely "The Magic Kingdom" and "The Epcot Center, two Disney parks in florida) Are particularly horrible about trash cans. In their infinite wisdom, they placed nowhere near enough cans in their parks, which leads to trash all over the pathways, which, in turn, makes for a very bad experience in their parks. Cedar Fair however, I have no complaints about. They have plenty of cans placed around the park, which makes people more inclined to make a short walk to a garbage can rather than casually tossing their garbage aside. And, for the people who don't care to make that short walk, Cedar Fair makes sure their employees stay on the ball to keep the pathways clean, unlike Disney.
  6. *Gasp* What are you going to do for protection without your samurai swords? Every child/parent combo in KI should be equipped with one, if you ask me. But then again, nobody ever asks me....This may be why.
  7. Wow, I'll definitely be taking advantage of this when I go tomorrow Thanks for the heads-up!
  8. ....Guilty. At 17, you have children who know the Son of Beast "rider safety guide" recording by heart? Wow. Yeah man, That's just how fast I work. JK, Should've been counting on you to swoop in here with something like that I was referring to myself though, guess I should've made that clear o.O
  9. I'll be at the park from open to close
  10. I'm always trying to meet up with people from here even without there being an event for it. No luck so far though >.<
  11. "Yeah, that's The Beast right over there" - Young Lady pointing at Vortex
  12. I hope that KIC does something like that this year I'd show up for sure.
  13. Do you realize how far it is from the Swan Lake construction site all the way over to SOB? My money is on on Terpy's post about a "borrow area"for the new construction site. Well, assuming that the workers were right and that it did have a length to rival The Beast then it'd have to be about that long. But then again, terpy could also be right. He usually is XD
  14. There's a special place in my heart for Busch Gardens (Tampa) though. I rode my first ever roller coaster there: Gwazi.
  15. I was riding SoB last night with a first-timer and his friend in the seat in front of me. As we were going up the lift hill he turned around and asked me and my soon-to-be sister-in-law if it was our first time riding, and told us that it was his. We told him that we're at KI two or three times a week and that we always open our day with this coaster. By that time we were getting off of the chain and were starting to go and his face changed completely. It was SOOO funny
  16. Anytime Making people laugh is one of my favorite things to do, apart from riding The Beast.
  17. Lol, unfortunately today is one of my few days I plan on spending at home and not at KI. But, Happy birthday all the same *Pulls on rubber gloves* So how many times to I have to pinch you?
  18. You may be a KI addict if you are reading through this thread and, as you read the posts, nodding while crossing them off like a checklist "Yep, I do that. And that. And that..." and are now silently (Or otherwise) laughing at yourself.

Awesome pics. I love the view of the mountains
  20. I think it might actually be part of the construction area for the new coaster. Me and my friend were sitting outside The Beast Saturday talking to a couple of the workers who were walking through the park for whatever reason, and they seem to be under the impression that the construction in Rivertown is just 1/3 of the coaster. They said it would have a length to rival that of The Beast. So maybe it's just one huge construction area?
  21. There are indeed trashcans in the parking lot. Cleaners or no cleaners, the trash in the parking lot is the result of people simply being rude and inconsiderate toward others and the envirenment. Yeah, ALOT of people at KI seem to be like that. Fortunately for us, the teenagers in the yellow shirts are doing a good job of keeping the park clean so we can have a good day at the park
  22. Yeah, that makes sense. Either that or it's like KI's "Smoking only in designated areas" rule. They have it posted, but they don't really enforce it so much.
  23. Every time I go I bring a backpack with some sandwiches in it because food is so rediculously overpriced. The first few times the security guard prodded around in my backpack for awhile while I was going through the metal detector, but the past four or five times they haven't even bothered to check it. Last time I went I walked up and handed them my backpack and my full throttle (My KI breakfast) and he handed them back to me after going through. So I'd say you're allowed to bring food and drink into the park with you.
