That is something a huge number of engineers have to deal with. Something to think about before going to engineering school. Obviously engineers always design to avoid failure, but stuff happens. EDIT: I don't mean that to sound cold hearted, but it is the truth.

There is no radially downward G force at the top of any swing on the Delerium. So you could fall out on the top of any of the swings.

1. Zingo (storage) - A great out 'n back with a ton of airtime, no trims, buzz bars and skid brakes, oh how I miss her. 2. Texas Giant - Might be a good idea to wear football pads on this, it has a very interesting track layout 3. Son of Beast - Fast, tall and intense, it is the only ride that make my arms sore from fighting the G's 4. The Beast at Night 5. Millennium Force - Just a blast, especially for a steel coaster

Ok, um, i think you mean Flight Deck or formerly Top Gun, or i guess you could combine...lol lol, the wife has had me working too hard this weekend, I am tired.
-
^ I know, but I think it being up proves they are planning on having it again this year

There was a big banner for the Haunt up in Action Zone yesterday.

I noticed Flight Deck looks worse than ever, and it had a line, first time I've ever seen it with a line, it was fairly long too. The SOB transfer station structure is also very rusted up. They need to replace the bolts with a higher grade that won't rust and paint the steel. So standing in line for SOB, you see the horrible looking Flight Deck and a rusted up transfer station structure, makes it look like the park doesn't take care of their rides. Edit: For some reason I called Flight Deck, Top Flight

Just don't pin yourself in. I kept some room between my legs and the bar. Going down the first hill for a split second I thought I was falling out there was so much floater airtime, I was not expecting so much on the first drop.
-
I have pretty big thighs from lifting and I was tight on the sides but had plenty of room on top. I was even able to leave some room between the bar and my thighs to get better airtime. My thighs are 22 inches around.

There are ways of during single riders without assigning seats. Also I noticed lots of empty rows today, which is weird when they were assigning seats. I like being able to pick my own seat.

What Parks Will You Visit This Year?
Zorba replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Already been to: 1. Knott's Berry Farm 2. Kings Island Planning: 3. Indiana Beach 4. Cedar Point 5. Waldameer 6. Canada's Wonderland Probably: 7. Worlds of Fun Maybe: Six Flags over Texas, Frontier City, Kennywood and Knoebles. -
Is the not letting you pick your own seat thing going to go away at some point? At least when I rode they told every person what row to go to, etc.
-
Also a word of caution, I think the way the seats are designed it can push stuff out of your pockets. The guy in front of me lost his phone and some change on the lift hill. I was able to save his phone, but the change went bye-bye. I noticed by the end of the ride my phone had also worked its way to the top of my pocket. So be sure you put that stuff in the bins.

I got in line at 10:55 all the way by where the time share place used to be, was told that it would be 4.5 hours, but it only took just over 2. The line moved very fast. I thought there would be a lot of line cutters, but I didn't notice any. The line was moving that fast and they were letting the trains stack. The total queue house only takes 1 hour to get though, almost exactly an hour. Edit: I am the second person to rate the Diamondback

I got in the line by that new shop this morning. The line from there was only 2 hours and ten minutes, they told me it would be 4.5 when I got in line.

They scan the passes so my guess would be that you would have to pay. I was able to use my '08 pass at Knott's in Jan. but that is because they didn't scan it and it doesn't have a year on it. If you buy online the printed pass will get you into the park lot one time for free. They scan the barcode at the top.

I remember seeing on their website that a season pass there does not get you into their halloween event. -

Last year they had at least 3 days. I think the other one was Labor day weekend or the weekend after labor day. I took my brother and mom out there for $10/each.

People that would do something like are completely worthless humans. Vandalism is really bad in Wichita, though, so it doesn't really surprise me. And Joyland isn't in the best part of town (not the worst either, though). I've never understood vandalism, theft I can understand, but what do you gain from vandalism?

I also think that the price is too high and think of swimming or wrestling when I see the "freestyle" -
Unofficial KIC Road Trip
Zorba replied to XGatorHead 8904's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Too bad HW won, I was already planning a trip to Indiana Beach that weekend for my Birthday. I'll probably hit up KI after work on the 1st.
