  1. Call me crazy, but I just had a radical theory.  GCI is currently working on a CCI designed coaster out west in GhostRider, including adding Millennium Flyers.

Maybe something similar here?  Perhaps slap in a 90 degree banked turn or 2 in there (which could be done on Legend on some parts)?  I don't know how Holiday World's relationship with Gravity Group is going currently, but that also might be the point.

  2. I hope they offer the option not to wear them.  While it might help the parks rekindle old attractions, the technology is up to par now-a-days, and some people may clamor for it, I for one go to amusement parks to get outside, away from electronics and such.

I could see it working on indoor rides, such as a certain theater with moving seats between The Racer turnarounds...

Why wasn't this around when Tomb Raider needed re-theming? :P

  3. I was not aware that No Limits 2 had a generic layout.  (I guess I am just used to other coasters incredible teaser animations.)

So, would it be logical to assume that the Storm Chaser teaser was produced my RMC and not KK?  I assumed that the animation was produced by KK.  I had mixed feeling about it--underpromise and overdeliver vs. simplistic creation will not bring people to the park.

It is interesting that the generic layout does actually kind of look like Louisville with the hills in the background.

I'll put this another way- With the park's ineptitude at PR, do you really expect any of them would be any good at designing stuff on No Limits?

  4. Really? They hold auditions in early November, but they don't do callbacks until March? How does it take four months to evaluate the candidates?

The calls start in December according to the standard note they gave those who auditioned.  March is the point where if you don't get said call, you aren't gonna get a part.

  5. Auditions went pretty well.  Aside from one minor squeak when I tried to go high (I hit the note later though B) ), I am satisfied with what I played.  I thought I sounded close to my best (given the pieces I had, pop music is stupid easy to play so its hard to find something to show off on).

I'll be on pins and needles until March.  I'm supposed to get a call by then if I'm chosen.

    silver2005- being patient.

It was also cool to see behind the scenes at Kings Island Theater and International Street tucked away for the off-season.  I didn't realize the fountain had so many...well...fountains (got to see it drained).    Its also very odd hearing the park so quiet.

  6. Considering there wouldn't be much to do and the driving distance in what is likely to be adverse driving conditions, I'd give a resounding no.

What in the wide world of sports was I thinking when I posted that?  I'd love to see Kings Island in the snow along with whatever else they'd throw in.
