The station for Fury and the new entrance to the park are coming along nicely. Some of the work around Fury's dive below the path is starting to be built as well.

It always impresses me how quickly rides, particularly coasters, go up. This went up a lot faster than I expected, especially for it being so tall and long. Then again, Carowinds doesn't have to put up with the type of weather the more northern parks like Cedar Point or Kings Island have to deal with.

At least on their Facebook page, they indeed state that opening day is April 25th. I think this business about their operating schedule is a testament to how much they're relying on social media.

I have phases of music I go through. I'll be stuck on one group or genre for a while and switch to another. Its a very random thing. My preferred genres are jazz of any type, classical of about any era (using classical to describe orchestral music is a very broad term), movie scores, classic rock, some alternative rock (I don't like it too hard, the likes of Alice in Chains and Metallica is as hard as I go), some R&B, a bit of Motown, good covers of songs, and some concert band literature. I also love to transpose music so I can play it on my saxophone.
I'd be hard pressed to pick a specific group, composer, or artist as my favorite, but my favorite piece of music of all time is Spencer Davis Group's Gimme Some Lovin' (the original version, though, I also like the Blues Brothers' cover).

Also, Kentucky Kingdom, before and during its Six Flags' tenure, has advertised in the Cincinnati area before. I distinctly remember advertisements when they introduced Chang, Twisted Twins/Sisters, and Greezed Lightning.

I get why some people do some drugs, but not meth. Its made of the most insane ingredients, screws you up in multiple ways, and can kill you in many ways by just making it.

I believe it would be advertised as a combination dropping tower/roller coaster. Dive machines have the holding brake at the top as well.
IMO, if Cedar Point goes for another B&M, I was thinking a flying coaster would have come before a Dive Machine.

I know I'm being picky about this, but how is that labeled a double helix? I only see one revolution of the track in that particular element (and its not even a full 360 degrees).

I highly doubt I'll be there the first 2 weekends for those are the weeks around exams. Might try the first Friday in May at the earliest.

Just to re-post this, ERT for 2015 will reintroduce Diamondback into the line up along with both new rides in Planet Snoopy and Banshee.

Speaking of which, the new coaster at BGW might not even have a name when the park opens. Heck, they have yet to acknowledge its existence. I'm even beginning to wonder if it even operates or not.

There are also times they try to compensate by turning up the volume on the sound equipment. You can't hear the lyrics, or even at times, what song is playing, when they do that. The guys running the sound boards also need some work.
One little thing about music- volume does not equal energy.

The only way I like music reviews is if they're performed well. I know I have a big bias towards this, but I like the live instrumentation over the recorded stuff. It just sounds better. Also, the singers at Kings Island outside of Playlist Live! leave a lot to be desired. They don't seem to be able to fall into the all the styles of music they have to cover. Either that or they stylize music in ways it wasn't meant to (ex- growling notes on a Madonna number? Really?) Some numbers were also taken way too fast. I didn't feel as much energy from the performers of the others shows as I did Playlist Live! They were really engaged with the audience. It looked a lot more of a chore for the other casts. To me, showmanship is as important as any other aspect of a live performance.

I think Playlist Live! will have a name change and move from the bandstand to International Showplace. I believe the show format will be similar to last year. They did hold auditions for a live band this year including a horn section.

I don't bother to think about the long term future of this park. It seems better to view this park on a year-by-year basis.
