  1. Rode it again today because it started raining. I liked how the ride op didn't even bother asking how our ride was because he probably knew the answer to that question. I wish there was a way to keep the building there, take out the ride itself and replace it with a brand new flat ride and change the theming or something with the building still there. I can dream right?
  2. ^If you like it now then you would have loved TR:TR a lot! I kinda find it thrilling but not enough to risk it breaking down with me on it again.
  3. ^^I have a couple friends that work at Drop Tower and when I was hanging out with them and running laps there would sometimes be coins that fly down and they would just roll their eyes. They can't really do much about it because there is no way to know who dropped it. I guess the hand check before the ride is good. But we shouldn't even have to do that. People should be mature enough to not break the rules that could cause injuries or any rules for that matter.
  4. It was a fun day even though we only rode Diamondback twice and then Avatar, Carousel, and Dodgems. Nice meeting all of you.
  5. I absolutely LOVE these pictures! DESKTOP MUCH?! No seriously, can I use one as my background? Yeah sure! I'll post a link here in a few minutes with some higher quality versions you can choose from. EDIT: Here are some. If you are not familiar with Flickr, just click on the picture you like, then at the top of the picture on the new page hit "All Sizes" and you can choose what size of the picture you want. http://www.flickr.com/photos/37085708@N02/?saved=1
  6. Thanks for all of your kind words! Partly Cloudy was a great short! I loved the idea for that and the story was good. I saw UP in regular but it was still awesome. I can't wait for Toy Story 3! That has always been one of my favorite ideas from Disney. Toys that are alive, every kids dream.
  7. ^I think you found the match. Premier looks pretty much the same. That's good news, I love Premier!
  8. ^That's what I was thinking. At first I didn't think I have ever seen a coaster track like that but remembered Maurer Söhne. Can't wait to see more! EDIT: But does it look the same? Hmm... (Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit Picture from RCDB.com)
  9. Were you working? I asked Nicolette if anyone cool was working SOB and she said they had already left. My bad.
  10. After coming home from seeing UP (I loved it!) I checked the webcam and saw that the line for Diamondback was very short so I dropped everything and headed for the park. I got there at around 5:30ish and see that my crew is working turnstiles today on my day off. I stop and chat with them a little bit. After chatting for a few minutes I decided they should get back to work and I should go ride Diamondback. I got there right in time to see this... I waited for it and I heard from the greeter talking to another guest that they had to replace one of the wheels in the station that help bring the train in and push it out. I decided to wait in this little line and then headed into the single rider line after they opened it back up. Of course I sat in the middle of the train like I always have to. I jumped right back into the single rider line which had gotten a lot bigger and took a couple minutes. After the two rides I headed over towards The Beast and stopped for a photo op. I walked up to The Beast which had no wait. I rode towards to middle of the train and of course was disappointed by the trims but they were no surprise to me so I enjoyed it. As I was leaving the plaza I stopped to take a pic of Diamondback cresting the last bunny hill. I stopped by for a quick ride on Backlot Stunt Coaster which also had no wait. I honestly enjoy this ride. I walked over to Vortex which also had no line and walked right onto 5-1. Gota love the forces on this coaster. Next was Firehawk which didn't have much of a line eaither. At least it is fun to watch while in line... Flight of Fear was next and I walked all the way into the station without waiting. The line for the front seat was only a two train wait so I waited. Has anyone else noticed that in the front on the right seat (might be left also, not sure) the orange thing at the bottom of the restraint smashes your foot while in the down position. Kinda bugged me the whole ride but still fun. Next was Blue Race which was also a walk on and the ride op was nice and left the gates open for me as I walked into the station and I walked all the way to the back seat because only the front was taken on the train. A little rough and we lost big time because our train was so empty. I went all the way down to my beloved Flight Deck next and enjoyed a ride in the very last row. The clouds were starting to roll in by this time but I headed up up to Drop Tower and saw my buds from my old crew! Surprise! I rode 7 times in a row without a line until about 9 when they got a call to shut down because of lightening. I stayed with them as they closed up their ride for the night. Group picture (though Jeremy didn't know I was taking it). They finished cleaning and everything at 9:30 and me and a girl from Drop Tower and a guy from Sky Flyer left to go to Waffel House! I saw my fellow admissions associates again and snapped another picture of us before I left. What a fun night! Just got home at 11:00. Here is the final count for the night. Diamondback: 2 Beast: 1 BLSC: 1 Vortex: 1 Firehawk: 1 Flight of Fear: 1 Blue Racer: 1 Flight Deck: 1 Drop Tower: 7
  11. I probably see you all the time because I am in Admissions. We always see them pass by. 2008 Post Season- SOB/Flight Deck 2009- Admissions
  12. A girl took a nice strategy while taking my groups picture. Right after our group picture she said "Alright, how about all of the girls together" so she took one of them and then one of all of us guys. I thought that was clever.
  13. I got off Diamondback Sunday morning and a guy was in the station holding a cell phone that he caught. It is funny how everyone is catching peoples stuff.
  14. I'm at 33 now! But working almost everyday isn't helping my count exceed.
  15. Didn't someone here on the forums tell their story of how they were escorted down under a theater? That sounds pretty safe and organized to me. I heard the announcement that a storm was in the area. I heard it a couple times and before the announcement each time the intercom would play a beeping noise.
  16. While I was working on opening day a women came up to me and asked if you actually had to ride Diamondback to get the shirt. Are people serious?
  17. Today I learned in line for Blue Racer (Red was not running) that Adventure Express runs backwards. The kid pointed to Red Racer and said that is the one that goes backwards (Even though it was facing forwards in the station). And then his friend corrects him by saying that Adventure Express is the one that goes backwards. I wrote that one down as a note in my phone.
  18. I tried to think of some fun spiels whenever I worked Delirium because that ride always had a portable mic. My personal favorite was, "Welcome back..... gather your lose belongings and exit towards Drop Tower. If you don't know what Drop Tower is, it is the big tower that drops you." At least I thought I was funny.
  19. Son of Beast here. A much more intense ride.
  20. There was a guy at The Beast tonight that I though was funny. He kept growling like The Beast and a lot of people thought it was dumb but I thought it was funny.
