  1. This is probably a dumb question but do splash down pools get drained every night after park hours? Or do they just keep the water in and only drain when necessary?
  2. Oh ok I see now. That's depressing. I hope Boulderdash is going to be ok!
  3. ^Wait a second. When did they get a new owner!?
  4. ^I was going to mention Lake Compounce which also has free unlimited Pepsi products. It's great! I don't know how they can afford to do it but it is a great feature.
  5. I almost voted for Dinosaur too. That's one of my favorite attractions at WDW. But The Beast does beat it when it comes to separate attractions.
  6. Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the park, except for medical reasons. The park has free tap water, and sells bottled water. Why would you think you could bring in something the park sells? Why not bring in a LaRosa's pizza, too? smile.gif Because I'm allergic to that water... But the park sells shirts right? Am I allowed to wear my own shirt in the park or must I buy one there because shirts and shoes are required. If tap water is free then why can't I bring in my own in a bottle? I'm not trying to sound like a brat, just my little humble opinion.
  7. If you think those restraints hurt, Twister's at SFNE I think are worse. It's a harness and then a bar comes up and SLAMS into you. It hurts pretty bad if you are not in the right position. I would consider The Crypt one of the better Top Spins I have been on with only these two under my belt.
  8. I guess I'm lucky I live so close. I never eat at the park. I always eat at home and since this is my first year back to the area and I have a car I think I will be packing a lunch most of the time. I have never really eaten at theme parks. At SFNE me and my friend everytime would just get cheese frys and a drink and be fine for the rest of the day. I'm always trying to get as many rides in as I can in one day, not enough time for eating or drinking. Are you allowed to bring your own bottled water into the park?
  9. ^I was working at the park that day when they closed it down early. I was sent to West Pie in Nick U and at Jimmy Neutrons Atom Smashers after just being trained there a little while before. I was also alone at that ride and I get a phone call to close down the ride.... Yeah I really didn't know how to do that so I had to tell everyone to get off and try my best to "close down" the ride. We were told to turn in our paper work and "Get Out". We were all joking around that we would see a Mr. Clean or the other blow ups flying across the park. I still don't know what my plans are yet for opening day. Our division training for Admissions is on Saturday so I'm guessing we will get schedules then? I hope I get to ride DB at least once on Saturday!
  10. ^You should download Firefox. It has spell check.
  11. I just noticed this. Is the line going to be just like Apollo's Chariot's line? I was trying to figure out how the line would go underneath the lift and I just remembered waiting in line for Apollo's Chariot and being under the lift.
  12. If it looks anything like the splashdown area did in the renderings I will be very surprised. That are really looked like it had a great feel to it. Well if it doesn't turn out to look exactly like the renderings, I guess we will just have to ride DB and like it....
  13. ^I used to love that when I was a kid. After riding Viking Fury and running around back to do it again and watching that little show. Childhood memories.
  14. Ah, yes. Another homage to our friends, the Brady Bunch! Hahahaha One of our families favorite shows...well my moms.
  15. Sounds like an excellent idea. I am glad we will be able to get some insight from Don Helbig and Bill Mefford. Can't wait!
  16. You might be a KI addict if on the way to Gatlinburg for Spring Break and when your parents ask which way is better to get to the highway you tell them the way that goes by Kings Island is the best and when you pass you take pictures if the park and DB testing.
  17. I love how the water just shoots up so fast when the train flys in but then it floats down so nice. Great video despite the quality bu a good look at the area.
  18. ^Oh wow thanks for posting that. That makes me feel a lot better.
  19. Although Diamondback's auction is going great, I feel kinda sorry for Make-A-Wish which Carowinds new coaster, Carolina Cobra, is supporting. http://ncrideforwishes.kintera.org/faf/hom...p?ievent=307160 Doesn't look like the new coaster is getting much action. Not surprising seeing that it is only a relocated Boomerang with new trains. However the new trains do look pretty cool.
  20. Wow! I havn't checked the bid board for a while. This is absolutely amazing! 34 Bids with anywhere between $500 and $3,100!
  21. Don said at the offseason blues tour that the queue would likely be similar to BLSC, Firehawk, or Delirium. I was hoping that DB would get something similar to Maverick, but it appears not. That's exactly how I visioned it to be. With the old country feel to it. Oh well I think a Delirium sun protector will do the job too and look kinda cool if it's the same colors as the coaster. EDIT: SPLASH!
  22. Sorry, had to edit. Ohh ok. I have never had that happen to me. However I know when ever I would have to use the foot pedal to release one person's restraint in a car on SOB everyone else would start yelling at me. It gets kinda annoying but I can understand why they would be worried at first.
  23. ^Hmm I didn't know that. Kings Island is pretty good with loose articles. At SFNE yo cannot take anything along with you while you ride unless it's in your pockets. I remember someone telling a story how a ride attendant told a couple that they could not wear their fanny packs on S:ROS. And on SOB they allow you to bring your backpack on with you as long as it does not get in the way of the restraint.
