More seriously, the ride was becoming dated, the park wanted something newer and more thrilling, it had a very low capacity, the steps posed serious access issues that would sooner or later need to be addressed from several perspectives, and, perhaps most of all, the then owner of Camden Park offered them a very nice price for it... And, correct me if I am wrong, but Congo Falls stands there now. A pretty decent replacement. Actually, I think Congo Falls, and Invertigo stands there now.

I bet you they did, especally Drop Tower and the Eiffel Tower. They get hit by lightning a lot more than you would think.

When it tests, I think it will test like how a brand new coaster would. why? if it's only the cable broke, it's not like they had to re-configure a whole section of the ride like when they removed the loop on Son of Beast, it's more like if they changed the chain on say king cobra. But they have to make sure everything works properly. They are not just going to put a new part on it and throw guests on it. They have to test it, make sure nothing else is wrong and make sure everything is working properly.

Then I can assume you haven't seen the damage an F-5 tornado can do. skaterboy who has seen it, and it wasn't a pretty sight...

I honestly think it will be down for a long time, if not the entire season. Maybe the track is badly damaged and the whole piece needs to be replaced? Thats no overnight job. Also, keep in mind that after they get everything fixed, it won't idmeatly open to the GP. The state of Ohio has to come out and make sure it is safe for the GP.
