  1. Bottom line is.... You can always tighten a longer seat belt accordingly.
  2. I should have put emphasis on the Rosa Parks thing being a joke. In all seriousness though... Just because someone looses an inch on their waist, doesn't mean they loose it in their thighs. I have been swimming a lot at the beginning of the year. I believe my thighs got toned in the process, but not smaller. Some of you young guys/girls will find out. You might be 20 and 165 with a slim to average build now, but wait until you are 25-26. You won't be that anymore. Then you will be on the other side of the debate.
  3. I like Glee, but they need more music. The Madonna episode was fabulous! I didn't see the one with ONJ, but I did see the NPH one. STRIKE A POSE!
  4. You have to remember, working out my increase body weight as well. Muscle weighs more than fat. When I was in Florida from February to April this year, I swam a lot. I even ate healthy, and took a diet pill to help burn fat. I noticed that while I lost an inch on my waist, I gained 10 lbs. I think it is ok to have a few seats that larger people can fit in, much like B&M seats. It is discrimination, pain and simple. Rosa Parks didn't get out of her seat, and neither will I!
  5. Florida has the most B&M coasters. I can easily fill my top 10 steel with nothing but B&M. Montu is by far the best inverted coaster I have ridden. Talon being my second favorite, then Alpie. For those of you who have ridden Afterburn at Carowinds, everything happens in the same order as Montu. Afterburn's batwing is boring compared to Montu's. Montu's batwing is the second most intense inversion I have ever experienced. Only being topped by the immelman / helix combo on the Fire Dragon at IOA. I love BGT. I can not wait to go back and buy a 2 year Gold pass for $160.
  6. I would be the one you should ask about this.... My former home park is BGT. YES! They do have the "BIG BOY" seats on all three B&M's. Kumba and Montu is rows 3 and 5. SheiKra is on Every row toward the center I believe. Same with Hulk and Dragons Formerly Known as Dueling at IOA, even Kraken at Sea World. What I don't understand though, is why B&M have started making their seats smaller.... example: Apollo's Chariot seats vs. Diamondback. Apollo's seats are huge compared to Diamondback.
  7. I rode KCKC in 1996 I believe. went looking for it in 2005 and it was gone
  8. When I was a pass holder at Universal, they opened up at 7 am for annual passes and hotel guests! The parks regular opening was usually at 9am for everyone else. That is TWO HOURS! I am not sure if they do this still. They are not allowed to run the coasters until 7am because of noise, but it was worth the wait. A 7:30am ride on Hulk is the BEST cup of coffee EVER! I have ridden Hulk BY MYSELF in the front row of the first train out before. I have to disagree about hulk being rough. It has been a couple years since I have been to IOA, but I always remember Hulk being smooth. EDIT: 7am ERT at IOA meant EVERY ride and attraction.
  9. http://www.fox.com/watch/glee Kings Island was mentioned in the first 5 minutes of the show. Sounds very much written.
  10. I noticed that car 2 on the Tilt-a-whirl is a spinner. Every time Shawn and I would turn their way, Adam and Aaron were spinning so fast.
  11. Customer Service is definitely NOT a priority. Don't be surprised when you visit.
  12. First day, second day, whatever..... YOU DO NOT SAY THAT!
  13. He did try the test seat, which clearly had the old belt on it. He sat in the test seat and had a half inch of slack. We mentioned that to them at Park Operations that the test seat belt should have been changed to match the new seat belts on the train. Not to mention the ride attendant flat out said, "You might not fit" as he got into the train. YOU DON'T SAY THAT TO A CUSTOMER! It would have been different if he was already in the train and she said "I can't get it to buckle, you aren't going to be able to ride." You know, Dvo, you weren't there, so you won't really understand our frustration with this whole situation. There were other groups in Park Operations complaining about general park problems as well, It wasn't just us having problems.
  14. They opened Mantis at the end of the day on Sunday. We noticed new SHORTER BELTS had been added to MF. Thus one member of our group took their first walk of shame, came back later and got a train that still had the older belts. That would be the yellow train. Park Operations did not want to do anything about our inconvenience. Finally a higher up was called and rectified the situation.
  15. I think KD is nicer honestly. The landscaping is awesome with all the trees and plants... even the tower is surrounded by shade trees.
  16. I personally don't care where I sit. They just need to step it up a notch. I'm not an angry single rider, but when the single rider line is going under the lift, it is time to do something.
  17. However.... the newbies don't know how to do it properly. I say fire them and hire someone who WANTS to do it!
  18. "Kings Island, the Fun and Only" just rolls of the tongue though. We were just singing that last night on the ride home from Cedar Point. We used just about every theme park name we could come up with....LOL
  19. I was on that last train on Maverick on Saturday night as well. It was the best ride on Maverick I have ever had. I have a rule... if a ride breaks down while you are in line, wait 10 to 15 minutes. People in front of you get out of line therefore you get closer to the ride. I was with Adam, Shawn, Aaron, and a Cedar Point newbie. We didn't have a GREAT opening day, but we managed. Customer Service in the Cedar Fair parks has really taken a spiral downward in the last 5 years that I have been going. It is sad you have to go to a competing park chain (Six Flags) to get BETTER guest service. On Sunday during test runs, Mantis did not make it through the corkscrew! We seen them throughout the day pulling it up to the MCBR... It opened a few hours later running one train. I had a blast even though we weren't treated the greatest by the staff. We did get some great rides. It was nice meeting new faces as well. I am going again in a few weeks, who wants to go?.....LOL
  20. giga, Dorney is a beautiful park. I hope you enjoy it.
  21. I wear my glasses on every ride at KI. I wear them on all but 3 rides at Cedar Point, they are the launchers.
  22. You can't vote unless you've been to them all. I am not voting.
  23. One night last year at Diamondback. My friend and I were in line for the front row. We boarded the train, and as we dispatched. The fireworks started going. As we rose above the trees, the full moon was visible behind the fireworks. Was a really awesome ride.
