  1. I'm nearly 100% sure that the roof is staying the way it is. I have been wrong though. Edit: Yay for LaRosa's for bidding $2,500! This bidding really is turning into something that amazes me.
  2. If you look closely at the station, you will see that the staining of the wood is not completely finished.
  3. That is awesome! I have always wanted to see some of the construction of the Eiffel Tower! But seeing everything else, what a treat! A+ times infinity for that find!
  4. Well, looks like the lift hill is all lit up and so are the stairs leading up to the MCBR, which is also lit up I just got back from Krazy City and had a pretty good time, the Planktons Plunge type ride was the best IMO.
  5. They added some gravel around the base of the station, im assuming to even out the ground since the footers were above ground level by a noticeable amount (at least to me).
  6. Anyone else noticed that the train is still partially up the lift hill? im kind of confused by this but i hope its just another test.
  7. So here is the 2003 picture of me and my long-term babysitter who loves roller coasters. I'm the small, terrified looking one and the tall, laughing lady is my babysitter. It was great, i remember my exact words right before the first loop, "Oh my gosh! Here we go, my first loop!". I was terrified of coasters back then, but now, i am in love with them.
  8. Very cool! I have an onride photo of me back in 2003 when i rode The Vortex, my first looper. I was scared to death but i ended up riding one of my favorite coasters.
  9. Just a little auction update: the minimum bid is now $100 if you want to be one of the "first riders".
  10. Well, Don Helbig has been on Diamondback so far, if that counts for anything! lol
  11. Has anyone other than myself noticed that they have added netting on the side of the track from the back of the station to the beginning of the final brake run? If you look at the first picture on the Diamondback website, you can see what Im talking about. Edit: I also caught this pic where you can see a blurry Beast Canyon
  12. Very nice! i especially like the first pic. of goliath in the fog.
  13. Well, i guess ive been corrected. But dont forget, they have to measure the real time speed of the train. Not sure if they have already done that but Im just saying.
  14. The second hill is 193 feet tall and the bottom of the second drop is where the train should get close to the top speed. The top speed will be reached at the first hill. Also, the bottom of the second hill is where the on-ride photo will most likely be according to Don Helbig.
  15. BTW, the railings for the exit ramp were on there before we went on the construction tour
  16. There is a tornado warning in southern indiana and they are still testing. Also, an optical illusion. The train is in the spalshdown, but there is no spalsh? I thought it looked pretty cool. (I know that in the picture, the scoops just entered the water)
  17. TTD. I thought it was great, but i was disappointed with the lack of airtime at the top of the hill and when going down the hill. just my opinion
  18. i think thats the first webcam shot of the train in the hammerhead that i have seen. I havnt been on here since friday, and wow! a lot has been said!
  19. i didnt catch the picture but they are bringing out the third train!
  20. wel, ill be leaving soon so dont let your guard down on that webcam!
