For the tshirts to be available before opening day I'm thinking iron on would be the best bet. I will work on a design tomorrow, somethink simple that will translate through iron on well. Don't forget KIC does sell official shirts through cafe press but to get them here in time you'd have to pay an outrageous amount for express shipping. Would anyone else be interested in getting KIC t-shirts, possibly with our usernames on them? I'd be happy to work out the details and find a place to print them if we can get it done on this short notice. I know I can get embroidery done same-day but I don't know about silk screening. We could even just do iron-ons, I could whip up a design and you could print them out. I'd say we should all get the ones through cafepress but I know those won't get here in time. That way all of those who are going to the park as singles, or are just interested in meeting others from the forum, could go "hey! a KIC member!" if they see one of the shirts in the park.

Now one week out and the forecast has not changed since yesterday at noon. Still showing 63 at scattered showers.

They'll probably want to see what happens this summer, and decide whether or not they want to permanently add any rides or scrap the whole project.

They do not allow you to spend the night in the parking lot. Security or police would come chase you out, probably shortly after season pass processing closes.

I'm aiming for two. One as soon as we can get in line for the ERT, and then possibly one immediately after, unless the line is over 2 hours. If it is, we'll go back out into the park and see how the line looks for the rest of the day. I'm really hoping to get two rides. I'm still debating about whether I want to jump into the auction or not.

Honestly though, there was very little traffic in the mornings. Those that came in just browsed, it was rare that we had any sales before 10 a.m. They probably looked at how much was being spent in each store during that extra hour and compared it to the extra labor, and decided it wasn't worth it. Now, at closing however, we were always swamped. We were ringing sales up until security started chasing people out!

That's dramatically changed from twelve hours before, when it was calling for a 10% chance of rain. I'd call it a 50/50 chance that it will be raining on opening day, but I will believe that it is going to be in the 60's for temperature.

That was the worst part about working in the Emporium. First set of stores to open in the morning and last set to close. If you worked opening shift you had to be there before 8 a.m. to get the store ready to open at 9. I remember having to be at work at 7 a.m. a couple days when we were changing window displays, and other days working well past midnight while they cleared I-street.

They should have signs. They did last year at Cedar Point. You go through the normal gate and then follow the signs to wherever they're letting people through. I'm guessing it will be the formerly blocked path behind the Eiffel Tower.

8 days out and a change in the weather forecast. Weather.com now shows a high of 62° and a low of 42° and mostly sunny with a chance of precipitation of only 10%. Expect a packed park if that forecast holds out.

I'm willing to risk it on May 1st. If the lines are too long, I'll just leave, but I wouldn't mind spending at least a little time with friends. So put me down for both days.

HMMM are you recommending that we go to youtube and look at point of views that are clearly taking without park's permission which is a mistaminor? I don't think we should be supporting that kind of thing here. If you search for "official POV" you will find a plethora of mounted-camera official POVs for just about every coaster out there. To me, those are the only ones worth watching anyway because then you don't have to listen to stupid comments and deal with the person trying to shoot the POV not being able to hold their camera still, resulting in seeing more ground and sky than actual ride. It's been stated before at various times, plus you can see it on the webcam. Pretty much all new 'big' attractions get test seats now a days, because the parks don't like making anyone take the walk of shame anymore than anyone likes taking it. Their entire goal is to make every customer have a great experience, and a walk of shame is not included in that. I'm a pretty big girl (5'6" and 210 lbs) and I have not had a problem fitting on any rides yet, but CCMR was way more snug than I'd have liked. I think I've gained like 5 lbs since my last trip to Cedar Point, though. I'm trying to get back down to 200 before opening day or maybe lower.

I had a dream that I met Terpy at the park but he was kind of like Wilson from Home Improvement and was always somehow hiding the lower half of his face.

There are other giga coasters but the only one I can think of us Steel Dragon 2000 in Japan. It took away MF's record for height very shortly after MF opened. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

Diamondback and Millennium Force will be two very different beasts. Millie is an Intamin and Diamondback is a B&M so they will give very different ride experiences. Diamondback will be more closely related to Behemoth or Goliath. I've ridding Goliath and it was a very different ride than Millie. Millie is all about force and speed, Goliath was all about air time. Diamondback will probably be similar.
