  1. That is privately licensed if I am not mistaken.... I believe the license was through Sally darkrides.
  2. That gives me an idea.
  3. Cut the theming? Most of what has been removed is the very Paramount-ish stuff. (and, mainly, on TRTR). Build a bunch of thrill rides over top of everything? Firehawk was built on unused land. Diamondback may be over a former pond, but the splashdown should look really good too. And SDATHC is still there...
  4. $1,000 fine?!?! How is that supposed to punish the park?!
  5. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=249713
  6. Nice. (and the DZ sign is on the normal map too)
  7. !!! When did this turn into a "let's bash Zune" thread?
  8. Son of Beast! Son of Beast! Son of Beast... Did somebody say "shock absorbers"?
  9. They're getting Diamondback, and I don't think we're going to see any other large expenditures, like what would be required to convert one of the current show areas to a BMX arena (remember, AWE was a 'new attraction' at CP this year).
  10. They are used for the same purpose as the buildings "behind" NU: storage, repair shop, etc.
  11. http://italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=565 Demon Drop is, in fact, for sale.
  12. amusementsafety.org/cedar_fair/kings_island.asp "Would we ride The Son of Beast roller coaster? Not a chance. Should you ride it? We'd highly suggest that you skip it when visiting Kings Island. There's plenty of other rides for you to enjoy at this venue... ...and even some employees suggested not riding the Son of Beast roller coaster---even they know how rough this ride is.."
  13. (edit: referring to the TTD line) I think that problem got bigger when the turnstile position was eliminated, and people started stuffing themselves into the station like sardines.
  14. How many parks have track delivered a year in advance?
  15. http://rcdb.com/ir.htm?opened=2009&status=9,13
  16. Was it B&M box track (Diamondback) or Intamin tri-(MF) or quad-track (TTD), or something else?
  17. Zune can stream music. That'd be really great. I've found a few hotspots at CP, but I don't think they were meant for public use. I got the "This is a protected hotspot..." screen on my Zune.
  18. And, at least at CP and WoF, their nametag says the company they work for instead of their home city.
  19. How is it confusing? Pick right or left, then line up for a row. Only way it's different is that there's 2 trains loading. I actually like TTD's station, it really hypes you up for the ride. Ready to Go was the perfect song for that ride!
  20. I love the pic of duct tape covering up the IJST logo. Somehow, I suspected that...
  21. I dare say CW's unthemed Silver Streak gets just as long lines as Runaway Reptar...
  22. Isn't Rye Playland owned by State of NY? That would explain their knee-jerk "kids under 13 need to be in sight of the operator at all times on rides" law they tried to pass a few years back...
  23. I had to look at the map many a time when I went to KI. It's layout isn't as logical as some parks. (i.e., it's not in a loop like CP is, kinda)
  24. Not being able to find where the seatbelt clicked in on Flight of Fear.
