  1. It looks like it is only kinda sorta working. The center jets still don't work, but more is working than before and they are at least changing again instead of being stuck turned on.
  2. Back in the day it was a gold pass benefit, you could get a little booklet of timed return tickets (like FastPass 1.0) if you got there in the morning. I believe Backlot, Beast, and the log flume also had it.
  3. Can't have people realizing how quickly the lines move when there's no paid line jumpers slowing it down.
  4. The other issue with KD's surprise closure is that they have apparently stopped updating the website and app with closures, so plenty of people made the trip because they checked the website or app, which said it was open.
  5. Best you can do is share with people you know who ask about the park how bad the experience this year, and more importantly, don't buy merchandise, don't buy blue ice cream, don't buy Food and Wine food, etc. Spending money in the park is putting a giant stamp of approval on how things are being run.
  6. It's wild that someone could look at the food situation at KI and think the person in charge of it deserves a promotion. I guess no more ice for drinks at Six Flags Over Texas, eh?
  7. I don't know, I don't think I've ever been denied a product I already paid for at a Six Flags park.
  8. The thing that gets me is the people who are cheering on being given less for their money. Or the ones that think "well, I never have an issue" invalidates everyone else's bad experiences. Like, that's great that "you didn't see any refill stands closed" when you went, but on the 2-3 times each week I go after work for dinner and a couple rides, I usually have to do a lap around 2/3 of the park before I can find anywhere that (1) is open and (2) has working Icee machines. I guess maybe weekday evenings aren't considered "all season" for the "All Season" drink plan. I feel like food has been a lot less hit-or-miss this year, but it also seems like some of the portion sizes returned to normal. Given how many Six Flags parks are reporting tiny portions this year, it makes me wonder how many "profitable" people chose not to renew their dining plan this year. The people who get lots of use and are going multiple times a week are always going to renew, but it seems like the families who only go 4-5 times a season and buy ice cream and souvenirs when they go are a lot less likely to... and that's who the park makes money on.
  9. Same with getting an Icee. I've had at least one visit where the unnamed drink stand next to French Corner was the only place in the whole park with Icee, and several visits where none of them were open. Once again, I wonder how long "take the money and run" is a sustainable business model.
  10. They have always had issues with this. I didn't get emails from them for YEARS in spite of signing up for the newsletter, buying passes, signing up for the website, signing up for the app, etc. Then the only ones I have gotten this year are, of course, for the silver pass. The whole thing just feels very telling about just how many people decided to "take a year off" from buying passes after their experience last season. The push for silver also feels odd considering it wasn't that long ago that they finally gave in and started selling gold passes year round.
  11. He's a good guy. Glad to see this, although I'd rather see him be the General Manager, but y'know...
  12. They should show the lost Bert the Conqueror episode. (Wasn't there an attempted taping where there was some issue with the no reride policy and so nothing ever came of it?)
  13. The unasked-for circus tent certainly exceeds my expectations. It looks even worse than I thought it would.
  14. I have to assume the resistance to tasting cards is that they like being able to shut the whole thing down for the day if it's not profitable enough without having to worry about pesky guests asking for refunds for the tastings they didn't get to use.
  15. That is 100% AI slop. I would have rather they just not bothered with the sign if they were going to do that.
  16. Amazing they bothered actually telling anyone instead of just closing it with no warning.
  17. Last year I was told that they "don't do it when it's busy", which defeats the entire purpose of the benefit.
  18. I think the updated billboards are a nice touch, but the new name is terrible, and there is still a nonfunctional splashdown, run down 20 year old shipping containers, etc.
  19. I hope they at least start including toppings with their $15 cheeseburgers again this year. Kind of sad when Brewhouse is the only place with a decent burger.
  20. Wasn't it just a few years ago that they were bragging about what a big success all the entertainment for the 50th was?
  21. Oh good, more tree removals in a park that already feels barren in lots of places.
  22. I'm glad Pipeline Paradise got removed. It had the worst fanbase.
  23. Lovely that smoking looks to be allowed inside the park again.
  24. You know, I did find it shocking that the Soak City "expansion" didn't include any sort of swim-up bar...
