  1. I would not buy a Fast Lane, but that is just me. I have went in the middle of the week during school and it is not bad at all. Math and Science week does not add that many more people. If you use early entry and work from Maverick and Skyhawk to Millennium and around that loop you should have no trouble getting on everything, some being walk-ons and re-rides.
  2. I feel like its safe to say this is the funniest post I have ever read.
  3. From day one I have never had a problem on Maverick. I don't know if it is because I'm tall enough that my head is above the restraints or what, but Maverick is my number two steel coaster. I even prefer it in the back row.
  4. This isn't for me, but I think it is a great business decision. The only time I will go in there is when coasterfanatic2012 drags me in, or if they show college football games during the fall.
  5. I'm happy to see that people are starting to realize Millennium is not that great.
  6. When a post includes a quoteI do not see the name of the poster being quoted.
  7. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>RT @<a href="https://twitter.com/kigmgreg">kigmgreg</a>: It is new to the park, it is red, what could it be???Stayed tuned!</p>— Kings Island (@KingsIslandPR) <a href="https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/309111516987289600">March 6, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> What could it be!? EDIT: The twitter imbeding doesn't work... Here is what it says: RT @KIGMGREG: It is new to the park, it is red, what could it be??? Stayed tuned!
  8. Tyler was GM of Castaway Bay and is now manager of resort sales and marketing.
  9. Don't forget about first class seats on a flight.
  10. Terp is right. We tried for weeks to find some discounted tickets for our senior trip, and there was nothing.
  11. Ride Thunderhead as much as possible. That is all.
  12. Great. We spent about an hour and a half watching auditions for live entertainment and talking with the people who do the hiring for that. They were really nice and funny. Then we spent about 40 minutes at Gatekeeper. The paint job looks so much better in person, which is amazing because it looks great in pictures.
  13. Don't they live in cold water by Alaska and Maine?
  14. My favorite is Dorney's: Don't miss the exorcism in the bottom left!
  15. I am also interested in seeing how KK goes. I just have a hard time believing they can draw people in if it ever opens.
  16. I would say there is a 0% chance of it coming back. You are correct, Cedar Fair does own the land still, but they don't want it. Mr. Ouimet himself has even said he believes that the United States can't support another amusement park. (Cannot find the quote, I'm sure someone else knows where it is)
  17. Well, if you aren't going to try them, I would try them out for you.
  18. I've heard a lot of people say the park was doomed when SeaWorld left. I've heard people say the Six Flags trying to directly compete with Cedar Point and adding too many rides in a short period of time is what doomed the park. We've all heard that Cedar Fair bought it for the sole purpose of closing it and sending the rides to other parks. I'm sure only a select group really know. I tend to think it was Six Flags' rapid expansion of the park that started the end. The park couldn't support the extra rides all at once, and all they did was increase the operating costs. The park relied on its charm. Family picnics, local business' outings, and small families is what made Geauga Lake work. When Six Flags tried to commercialize it and make it Cedar Point Over Cleveland (made that up) it just couldn't sustain a worthwhile profit. I really have no clue, it is just my opinion. I do, however, think you are insane if you think Cedar Fair bought it just to close it.
