Millennium was slowly cresting its hills on Ohio State day. Cold and windy conditions can do this. Raptor valleyed a few years ago on closing day.

My biggest question is where else in the park did they plan on building Gatekeeper? I would love to see those plans.

I would blame the phone, but we used a real digital camera. Yes, we are that bad at taking pictures. I forgot to mention we met and talked to Gator on Cedar Downs during Ohio State day. We also said an awkward hello to Don who was waiting behind us to ride Raptor.

I saw it a few days after they put the last piece of track up. Obviously it was a construction zone back then, but I still thought it looked bad over by employee parking. After riding it 17 times on media day, the employee parking area was still not pleasant. The rest of the area, however, is beautiful. It's for sure a trillion times better than a giant steel box...

Opening Day was rough for a lot of the rides. Dragster ran for proably twenty minutes totall all day. Maverick didn't open untill around noon. Rough day.

Sorry for the double post. I just want to apologize for how awful of quality these pictures are. I would blame it on the camera, but I think Caleb and I are the real problem. We suck at taking pictures. Alright guys, I'm gonna go sleep for a few days. . .

We are home from opening day, and after three days in the park I am exhausted. No sleep at all over the past three days. Yes, Gatekeeper is a lot better than Wild Eagle. Never been on X-Flight, but I thought Wild Eagle was pretty boring. I did not think as highly of the ride as Caleb did. I did not think it was extremely forcefull, and I could marathon it for a decent amount of time if I could. Caleb got through 4 rides and was headed to the bathroom to lose his dinner from the night before. He's a baby like that. The best part is the keyhole section. It wasn't much of a headchopper effect, but it just looked cool. After three days we rode GK 18 or 19 times. That was just under 20 years ago. They just filed for the name, why wouldn't they use it? Kings Island had a coaster named "Demon" a long time ago. How is that ok, but not Banshee?

The only time I will go to HW this year is MAYBE during fall affair. Ohio State isn't playing at home that week so I'll probably have the time, but it depends how the rest of this season goes.

No, it doesn't. I'm interested to hear an explanation, though. I like the history of it. I like the concept or idea of a long, wooden coaster ungulfed in trees. I like the tunnels, and I like the night rides. The ride itself, however, I think is boring. Slanted track with no airtime or forcefull twists is not something I look for in a coaster.

I think The Beast is boring, but I still love it. If that makes any sense...

What I want: Intamin wood plug n play like El Toro or a Gravity Group coaster. What I think will come: A B&M like Leviathan. Hope not, though.

The internet became available for everyone which supplied an easy outlet to complain about things... All the way to the entrance, near the restrooms? That would be an extremely long wait. Yes, it was just short of coming to the sign for the ride. And all of the switchbacks were open. Crazy day.
