SIX STOCK TO SPLIT TWO FOR ONE
TTD-120-420 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Does anybody think this would be a good investment? We have a project going on right now in our Econ class, so just wondering. -
I'm going to go with B&M hypers. I loved Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens and I love the restraints on them. Intamin is now dead set on using those stupid over the shoulder restraints for almost every coaster they put out. I hate them and that is why I did not pick an Intamin coaster type as my favorite.

<br /><br />At the risk of people paying for this and being upset that it's not what they thought, I should point out that people here have hypothesized that it is <b>not</b> laser tag, but a laser navigation maze.<br /><br /><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5124/5309956140_7fce3c2fa1.jpg" /><br /><a href=' class='bbc_url' title='' rel='nofollow'>http://www.flickr.co...ogy/5309956140/</a><br /><br />Admittedly, that does sound like it would be about right for an attraction called "The Vault." Like a spy, thief-themed attraction where you have to sneak past the security lasers into a vault, right? I haven't been in it, and I haven't read anyone else here say they have, but someone mentioned another Cedar Fair park building something like it last season.<br /><br />You can find a laser attraction of this type in the ADVENTURE exhibit at COSI Science Center in Columbus. There, in trying to master the adventurer's skill of <i>perseverance</i>, you must climb through the "fiery beams" emitted by the ancient spirit Skorn - make it through and you recieve her part of an ancient code. For anyone who like Tomb Raider: The Ride, ADVENTURE is an incredible exhibit, and unlike anything you'd expect to see at a science center. There's a pre-show and all! <br /><br /><img src="http://www.rotostudio.com/ModuleImageGallery25/Uploads/deehuyfb.jpg" /><br /><br /><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4082/5063360654_6b7d57c9be.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><br />I mentioned earlier that Cedar Point put it in their arcade last year.

Sorry that I am late, but I would like to comment on the new "Laser Tag." I do not believe it will be an actual laser tag arena. Cedar Point's main arcade added a new game called Laser Frenzy. It was very popular and was very cool. The two doors in the picture I think will be two separate games. The object of the game is to enter the door touch the other side of the "hallway" and return back to the start without touching any of the lasers. Picture a scene from a spy movie where if they get touched by a beam they die or something. It is like that. Here is a picture:http://thatsmyadvice.com/lostevolution.com/ssffunhouse/images/laser_frenzy.jpg -
It is only March my friend.

Seriously? What is up with all the noobs? Do they always come out and ruin the fun whenever an announcement is going to be made? After looking at the Dino Un-earthed or whatever it was called, I got really excited. If that kind of theming comes to Kings Island then I'll be pretty happy.
-
^^They would still have to remove trees to assemble Dino anamatronics.
-
"Capital11" would be saying they are spending some money on this project, right?
-
I can't remember but I believe the last text I got was talking about the Park Tax meeting thing. Has there not been one I remember since? Will Friday's big announcement be sent?
-
This is so much fun. I would love to have Don's job right now!
-
Or it could start (also begins with a "s" and a "t") somewhere. As in begin. I have no idea where it will be located though.
-
Nice find. Unless the Son of a beast is now being called a dinosaur, it looks like SOB is out of the question, too.

Onpoint! blog
TTD-120-420 replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I doubt I will ever like her as much as I liked Tony, but I am happy to see the blog back. -
Well, taped off trees eliminates the Dino Movie option. No need to cut down trees just to replace a movie. I would love for this to be SOB related. I never had the chance of riding it post loop. It closed for good the week before I went. I agree a dino-walkthrough sound too far out there for Cedar Fair. It also seems out of place at KI. (Not that Backlot isn't out of place either!) It also doesn't go along with the "thrilling" adjective the park used. I'm excited for next week!

If it has anything to do with rides it won't be until 2012. There is no time to build a ride from now to opening day, unless they have already started on it and we haven't noticed.
-
Or just look on KI's twitter page. A picture of part of the tower was posted this morning.
-
Whatever it is I wish they would build it like they did Beast, and save trees.

2011 Gold Pass ERT includes WindSeeker and Vortex
TTD-120-420 replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
As much as I loved riding DB and Beast in the mornings with no wait, the new ride lineup doesn't bother me. It just gives me an extra hour of sleep that morning. It wont make me change my mind about buying a Platinum Pass because I'll still get ERT on Maverick and such up north. -
As for rides running in cold temps, I remember riding MForce at CP while it was snowing one year. It was not enjoyable.
-
I have never had trouble at KI, but Saturday nights in October at Cedar Point are horrible. It took 20 minutes for some txts to go through.

Who Plans to be a Windseeker FIrst Rider?
TTD-120-420 replied to KI FANATIC 37's topic in Kings Island
If I don't have baseball that day I will be there. If I do have baseball it depends what time it is over, I still might drive down. We will probably head to Adventure Express first just like every year. WindSeeker can wait. -
Strange footprint in the snow on KI Facebook page.

Tony was the god of all amusement park blogs. He was a very nice man in person also. I am very happy for him with his new job in Wisconsin, but I miss him very much. CP in the offseason just isnt the same without him.
