  1. Care to share or do you like keeping us all guessing? And yeah, I also love going to the park with the parents. Last summer we all rode The Beast and my mom kept reminiscing about how she rode it before I was born in 1981. It's just kinda cool to see your parents act like children every now and then. Andy
  2. Personally, I like SpellBound and hate TR:SS. Spellbound is a magic show that leaves you wondering "How's they do that?" whereas the stunt show leaves you wondering "Why'd the do that?". Two totally opposite results. TR:SS is just lame and the stunts aren't really that spectacular. To each their own tho... Andy
  3. I've talked with Jeff tons of times. He's probably the nicest guy I've ever met and will literally bend over backwards if that's what the guest wants. On a couple of occasions I have been able to actually WORK with him he's been an excellent spokesman for the park and is definitely an asset to the company. In other words, I'm a fan. But I think he already knows that... Andy
  4. I sort of figured that higher-ups would watch this board and had reservations about joining at all. But I didn't say anything I wouldn't have told someone if they asked me at the window. Thanks for the heads up...and who are you, if you don't mind me asking...? Andy
  5. I'm going to Weird Al! I decided that instead of working it (and possibly going backstage) that I would get front row seats for me and my dad. My brother got a seat in row RR, lol. Anyway, I can't wait! Andy
  6. Since I work in GR, let me clarify some things: 1.) The ACE walkback IS everyday. Some days there aren't any ACErs to walkback or they dislike the ride chosen. For example: I got to do the walkback today for GR but The Beast was going to be opening late due to weather, so when I told the 4 members waiting that we would be going to Delrium instead they decided not to go. Most days it's a GR manager, who will have a nametag on that says "Guest Relations" and "Area Manager" at the bottom. Sometimes us lowly associates (usually returners) get to do it if the manager is too busy. 2.) The walkback is usually around 9:45 or so. Most of the time The Beast won't open until 5 or 10 minutes prior to regular opening, so there's no point in hurrying back there. As long as you're at the stone at 9:30 and just wait til 10 then you didn't miss it. And yeah, if you have doubts then check with the Front Gate. 3.) I do not usually card the ACErs. The managers do and are required to, but if it's 4 people then I don't usually bother. I just walk over to the stone and ask "Anyone an ACEr?" Whoever replies correctly gets to go. I've had kids go back that aren't ACE members but they can't be left behind, etc. So I'd say you're riskin it if you bring your brother/sister/cousin/whatever since you SHOULD have a card to ride. 4.) We always, ALWAYS, try to go to The Beast. If for some reason that ride is not going to open on time (like today) then we will either pick SoB or Delirium as a substitute. We know that The Beast is our cash cow and we know that the ACErs usually want to ride that one most. I hope this clears some things up... Andy
  7. BACK ON TOPIC: I love my job. I don't think I would have as much fun in any other department (no offense) but I think that GR just fits me better. Besides, we get a little more power than the average associate so that helps too. Andy
  8. I'd go but I'm going out of town...I'll be working all day Thursday though... (First post, btw) Andy
