  1. Probably takes a bit to collect and count all that dough. One issue I had been considering is what about those out of state and such they sure are not giving much time for preparations.....
  2. Ahh just load er' into the pick- up and bring er' along...
  3. Hey all just wondering about the bring a friend days as regards to cost, limitations , etc. Any information appreciated.
  4. Ohh one last big ole' hate was last year when it was late summer nice and hot and we go to ride the scrambler and we notice this horrendous smell, as we spin round and round the smell gets worse and worse hitting us in the face. So the ride ends every rider onboard is very well disgusted. So I ask the operator " what is that smell" they state.."ohh we had a dead raccoon under the ride... WHAT!!!!!!!
  5. i completely agree is very industrial in nature. The whole loading process is unique and just getting seated is a thrill the first time. The un-knowing of what the ride even will do. Its a rare experience to be seated and hear a first time rider ask " what does this even do?" then once the contraption begins the initial " wow i cant believe this". Its just is close to becoming a one trick pony as it ends to abrubt and its one ride where the atmosphere during the operation was 60+% of the thrill. Really wish it could be rethought. And the overall costs to make it happen could be very minimal......
  6. Great idea there, thats sorta my point. Its likt a closed set they could really do most anything and it would be better than a dark empty warehouse with a ride in it. They could easily change the theme every year and it would make it a special thing people would visit each year to see where Kings Island is going to take me this year you know. All ideas on deaf ears but would be cool. Especially on halloweekends I mean in its current state you think it would be a highlight on halloween yet when we went each time I believe it was not running?????????
  7. I went like 20 or more times last year and I still like to sit and observe the people, rides, and all the sights that make KI special. I do get aggravated by people that hold places in line, and allow others to skip through the wait to catch up with them. I hate kids climbing on rails in line. I hate nasty smelling sweaty people in lines. I hate when i am in a line then a ride stops (of course everyone does), i hate beer prices, hmmmm i hate memorial day weekend when the park is stacked out to the highway. I hate when they host the christian concert weekend its just plain annoying sooo many reasons. Thats it i love most everything else. I totally love halloweekends its worth the cost of the season pass price alone.
  8. Yeah it drives me nuts, is yours unlocked jailbroke by chance? Its a wonderful thing!!
  9. Yeah i have had blackberrys and their great in ways but i love my iphone much much more.. Flash just cant be updated as of yet. Only downside really.
  10. Wonderful suggestion yes I am aware of that, that is not the issue I just want to access it on the fly on my iphone. I was hoping someone would have a better solution. I guess i can wait untill the park maps are at the park. Grab one take a pic of the operating calendar then save it to the springboard which will generate a icon on the springboard which when pressed will bring up the schedule. I just did not want to wait and was hoping another iphone owner had another workaround...
  11. Okay heres my issue, i have an iphone which I use constantly but Kings Islands website uses flash for their online calendar as such the version is not compatable. Is there any other options? I have googled for their calendar but it just redirects you to their site!!! Help!! I need a dowloadable version or just a place where it is posted to view. P.s. I love Cedar Points website they have a very iphone friendly website.
  12. that actually would be an improvement, I mean seriously what if they had the lighting hooked up to where they could alter it on the fly so one ride could be a eerie red filling the room, or strobing whit and blue another, or maybe just bright white and black, maybe disco ball dots everywhere? The variety could really make every ride a completely different experience and the costs to acomplish it..... Virtually little at all. I just hate that it has sooo much potential and with a bit of effort and creativity it could really be a treat.
  13. Well I know this subject has floated around here a bit. So if its dead horse delete or ignore. But the crypt has such potential, back in its earlier form the theatrics made it a experience. In its new form its a pure thrill ride alone. My thought is that I realize there are licensing issues restraining "themeing" the ride. But as it is encased in theory a blackroom, why not just add some basic rgb color changing light cannons that flood the room with slow fading color as the ride operates? Maybe a bit of ambient music it would give it a unique style. Just an idea. It really has such potential anyone that has other suggestions feel free to share with the rest of the class.
  14. Top thrill dragster and i absolutely loved it, i will be riding it again this year. One of the best rides of my life.
  15. I would really recommend getting down there before opening as we have gotten season passes many many years and day of it is a serious mess. Hour plus waits are easily possible.
  16. well when we renewed this year we still had to have a new card and pic taken, everyone there that day had to. They said the system required it? Got me? So dpnt be surprised if you cant just do the window and they make you go get a pretty pic taken again.
  17. I will of course ride it once as thi is why I am dragging my butt out of bed to get there before 9 am. I will try to ride it again later if it serves up the thrills as everyone is hoping. But as our kids are not attending the trip this time I plan on riding anything and everything as many times as possible.
  18. Thanks for the add to the list!! Ohh the anticipation of a new thrill!
  19. hello i would love to sign the official unofficial roster but I not in reach of a pc for the next few days as ee are traveling and I am posting via. A Iphone and they have yet to allow copy and paste unfortunetly
  20. hello all!!!! My wife and I will be theere bright and early as well. And Diamondback is the priority from there on its whichever may come. And afternoon beers and that ohh so delicious pizza and more rides. I have been attending the fun at kngs island since the late 70's as a child and have had dedicated season passes for many moons.
