Windseeker & Coney Mall Construction Continues
I'm wondering what the wood is that is slanted at the far right center of the frame. Not sure but it looks like they are adding a roof to it this morning.

Flashback Till Opening 2011
They really were and I miss them so much! I do believe they were located where the seating behind Chick-fil-a is now.

Flashback Till Opening 2011
Oh how much I miss KCKC! Just the thought of moving through the treetops and riding it together with my family, then we always tried to "guess" which side they were going to have us go down as we pleaded with the ride op at the top of the drop to try and get our "guess" to be the right one! Good times!

Planning?
So is it just me or does that look a lot like the strange picture that KI posted and no one knew what the drawing or outline was refering too? I am at work right now and cannot go back and check as those photos won't load for me. If someone can compaire the two that would be great. Edit: I was able to go back and check but cannot post the two images as of yet, but it looks as if the picture on the Facebook page posted on National Red Day is a variation of this layout or expansion on the maps.

Family Suing Disney Over Cheese At Theme Park
For crying out loud, the parents didn't do any active parenting and test the cheese before they let their child get their hands on it.

Flashback Till Opening 2011
So funny I had the exact same experience in 1983 when I was 8, and I didn't ride another coster until the second season of Vortex, a pretty big jump from Beastie to Vortex!

New for 2011 Windseeker!
So is my thinking on this correct? They are suing on a Patient because a press release from Mondial used the "StarFlyer" name? At least that is what I got from the article.

New for 2011 Windseeker!
I totally forgot there used to be a pond over there too!

I take it you found nothing of interest in Coney Mall area?

Just saying as the park would state it. You know like Diamondback they count all the drops even the one on the break run on the end of the ride that really in my mind shouldn't count.

As long as Jim Grey doesn't host it! Edit: Sorry Double Post

New at KI in 2011
Well I said over 300 Feet because the other two that were announced were 301 feet, so that is over 300. They also said taller than Diamondback so that fits right in that same range.

You don't think a ride that stands over 300 feet in the air will change the skyline? (the 300 feet number comes from the other two announced today!) Edit: that stands over 300 feet from the ground, not in the air. Thought I should add this, sounds like 300 feet in the air means it is floating in the air haha.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a big mural of Snoopy drawn on it. Yeah that might be a little too much!

I like how the top of the one at Knott's has a nice big K on the top. Wonder if Kings Island's will have anything like that or will it look like the one at Wonderland?

So is it so far out there to think that each park is getting a different flat ride from Mondial?

Hands Up! (Poll)
Hands Up on almost every ride for me! Just on that pesky Drop Tower that I can't seem to let go of the restraint!

Random oddities around the park
and look at how many people in that photo are doing one of my very few pet peeves; sitting on the rails!

First Time on The Beast!
This is why I always ride on the right side, being 6'4" tall with almost a 7' wingspan will cause one to think carefully how a ride is laid out. My first ride on The Beast was on the Left side and I rode the last half of the ride with hands down!

Holiwood Nights: Day 1 TR
Angie, Just going through this trip report and remember that people were saying they didn't want to post reports anymore. Mainly because no one comments on them so what is the point? Well I decided after reading this for the third time I would go ahead and at least post a thank you for posting; and letting us who can't get out to the parks as much as we like to live through other people's reports! So Thank You

"Click!" Let's Have Fun & See Those KI 2010 Pictures
The Firehawk crew appear to be doing much better now! They are keeping the lines moving and filling almost every seat. They are also getting the trains out of the station quicker. However, I still suggest riding this ride first thing when the park opens so you won't be stuck in a line for it later. This is the only laying down coaster I ever road and when I road it, it was at night so I couldn't see the track layout completely. So the first time I road it, I was very scared and shook up by it, mostly for not knowing what it was going to do combined with looking straight down the whole time. Once I saw the track layout in the daylight and road it again, the second time wasn't so bad, and I started to enjoy it. I think the funnest part of the ride is the loop, and even during my first ride when I was scared, the loop was the only part that wasn't scary. Great to hear that so i guess the next time i head down there i will make sure to hit that up. When my wife is with me we always do Flight of Fear first since that is her favorite ride, this last week when we went the line was over an hour long on Firehawk and that was at 10:30 on a Wednesday!
