trevor75 replied to trevor75's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
yeah thanks that would be great, and i did forget about seaworld there. -
Hey just wondering if anyone has been to this park, I am making a trip to San Antonio this summer and wondered if I should try and make time to hit this park? If anyone has any thoughts on this let me know please.
-
Very sweet report for a short little trip. Glad your man got to go so early in the season with all the driving he does. I love the pics of the park on the horizon. Just all looks like great fun!

My slight annoyance is when people call it D-Back, like K-Fed or J-Lo. Stop with the stupid celebrity abbreviations. It's a roller coaster. Yeah but it is a celebrity roller coaster! HAHA just kidding I REALLY hate those abbreviations even when used as people's names! Oh by the way did you get one of those Scooby Doobie shirts yet?

Just don't do it in the Diamondback temporary lines if you want to be a Single Rider! haha yeah you were talking to that person behind you now PROVE you are here by yourself!

Hey blow the prom off I went to mine and the only thing i really remember from it is the next day we all spend it at KI, we were tired as hell but it was one of the best days of my life. So when i think about it we should have just ditched the prom altogether and just spend two days at KI!

Charles Gibson Writes The Vortex
trevor75 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
WOW just WOW, I know each of our favorite coasters hold a special place in our hearts for different reasons, but can't you enjoy each one for what makes them unique. I mean I love Vortex it was my first looping coaster, but I also love rides that offer big air-time, as well as rides that loop! I just don't understand why someone would have their feelings hurt that the theme park in their own backyard, that is a driving economic force in this area, would bash the new attraction that is a great ride according to others (I only say this because i have not had the joy of riding yet) and is doing their part to bring in cash. Oh well to each his own I guess. I just say enjoy each coaster or ride for what they offer. -
Yes you sure can, as long as you are above 44" and under 76" I believe Little Bills is the only coaster with the must ride with child specification. Heh...I think I'm short enough. I guess if the line's ever short enough I might give this a whirl. I've always thought if I was a kid it'd look like a fun coaster! That said, I'm certainly not expecting ANY thrills whatsoever. well that puts it at about 6'3" so there you go. I can't 6'4" so i will have to watch my daughter ride it without me when she is tall enough!
-
I believe so as long as you are UNDER the max. height limit they have set. OOPS Railrider beat me to it!
-
Yeah I would hate to lose the "theme" park and just have another amusement park
-
So Angie I am sure you bought it then!

A return to HB Land/Cartoon Network theme would be great. My daughter who is 3 watches and loves a lot of the shows on there. Scooby Doo, The Hair Bear Bunch, and Top Cat. All of who were walking characters around the HB Land when I was little. So I would love to see them return and I know my little Riley would love them as well.

I'll be at the park on June 2nd for my birthday. I hope to see you there. I'll chime in with King Cobra. I'm not a big fan of what's there right now - Delirium. Hey i will keep an eye out for ya Tom, there is a group of just about six of us going on that day.
-
Yeah! Smurfs! And yeah, Trevor, I remember the concession at The Beast line. That was always a nice touch. Right now, I miss Diamondback. I want to go back and ride it. I don't get to ride it until June 2nd and 3rd so i can't miss it yet
-
call the park and find out, but really just get some swimming trunks and spring for a locker if you are going to use the water park!
-
4 words to explain this: "a bunch of savages"
-
Very True but I always thought it was such a nice element.
-
I always wonder why the got rid of that lake, but the more i think about it i think it must have been due to trash and also mosquitoes in the summertime.
-
the ride i miss the most is Skylab, but what i must say i miss the most is the pond that was under and around The Beast. I remember leaving the station house and making the turn for the first lift hill and thinking to myself, "wow that must be some big piece of concrete that these support cables are hooked too, I wonder how deep that goes down?" Now there is no mystery. Also does anyone remember when they used to have an actual concession stand in the line queue for The Beast?

It is this same manner of ideology that has also cause the downfall of the arcade industry in America. If you go to Japan, arcades are almost on every street corner, here in America they are almost non-existent. This is due to a number of other factors as but the main one is the fact that as a whole our youth likes to be quite destructive. Americans, we just can't have anything nice without trying to "break it in." It really makes me sad that people have no respect.

WOOHOO Chapter 11 FTW! -
Will you be able to sleep tonight before riding Diamondback?!
trevor75 replied to tigellinus's topic in Kings Island
Haha...that's pretty funny (if not also a little sad to hear!) yeah those are the breaks when you have a 15 month old, a three year old, work too much overtime and are married. Plus an 11 year old boy into sports upto his ears! But hey at least we are going this year, I missed the whole 2008 season. So you're saying single*, 27, with no kids isn't that bad afterall?! *It's off/on and pretty casual well when i was single at 27 i had a brand new Mustang and I was at KI every weekend and many weekdays! Not saying it is better or worse it is just different is all!
