Would you like the KI&MVRR spruced up in the next 2 years?
Creed Bratton replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in KI Polls
The "themed items" could be spruced up a bit with some paint and other TLC. I'd love to see animatronics along the route but I'm good with what we have. -
I used to think there was one as well...but nope

Having bought merchandise from Cedar Fair parks during the off-season, I can vouch that they arrive in the off-season. There are warehouse employees who assist in shipping orders made online. If they couldn't ship orders, why would they post? Also, I assume that at most it'd take 2 weeks to receive orders...not for sure though. I'm honestly wondering if there will be a "black friday" or "cyber monday" sale.

I don't think the low price is going to stay must past opening weekend. From the FAQ PAGE: To me the introductory price means that it'll be a short lived price. Then saying buying your pass now ensures you get the best value is saying that the pricing will not last long. I'm sure it'll be like other parks that run specials on their passes and then move the price up later on.

And they have more twisties!

Lagging Server?
Creed Bratton replied to The Interpreter's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
I'm experiencing a lag as well. -

Could the paint job happen? Of course it could...do I look for it to happen this year, no. As for that Facebook page...it's hilarious. I believe it's ran by some kid in their mid-teens. They've posted numerous things as fact without sources or it's completely off the wall and has been proven to be something entirely different. I along with a few other friends have corrected them numerous times and they don't seem to get it...they need to have a source and/or post legit stuff that's been posted by the parks.

As others have pointed out, it doesn't really fit a "dark theme." Vertigo roughly means a dizziness sensation, so Invertigo could be seen as turning guests upside down into a dark world. Although I'm not a fan of the Invertigo name. I could see it as something like Vampire or some other "demon" type character. If true (or, heck--even if not), is anyone else thinking that the park is spending an exceptionally large amount (for Cedar Fair) on rides/ride updates/park updates at Kings Island for 2014? 1. Banshee's set the record on how much the park has ever spent on a single ride. Heck, Banshee's got to be one of the more expensive rides Cedar Fair's ever installed in the past 10-20 years. The only ride that tops it that comes to mind at the moment is Leviathan. 2. On top of that, Flight Deck is being repainted, and its station--in some magnitude--is being changed, all to complete a new Bat theme. (It still feels really funny to think of Cedar Fair doing anything related to theming, even if it could only be in name. I truly thought that ride would be a blandly-colored Flight Deck for the rest of its life.) 3. Delirium may or may not be repainted. 4. Greg Scheid made a point at the Banshee announcement of mentioning that, under Cedar Fair, each area of the park has been updated when a ride has been added to it. Add in a mysteriously disappearing water tower, and I'd speculate Action Zone will receive some sort of change next year. This is just too much for me. I really don't know what to expect next year at this point, apart from Banshee and The Bat (which is more than enough for me as it is.) And I'm loving it. Amen!

The Bat flies again at Kings Island
Creed Bratton replied to a topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I find it funny that the host is under the impression that the original King Cobra is in Spain....um...no. -
My question is, why now? The incident apparently happened in 2009, but it's 2013 now. 4 years have come and gone since the "incident." He's had 2 surgeries on his eyes. Said that his vision is worse than it was. While I understand the original issue could have been caused by the mascot throwing the hot dog and it hitting the guy's eye, shouldn't the Dr. be to blame for not restoring his vision to the original "working condition" or better?

12,000 Rides for Don Helbig on the Racer
Creed Bratton replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
I believe he wanted to wait until his daughter, Maria ended her last season at the park before college to ride it together. -

Great editing! I want to say that the trains are going to be all black...but not sure if I read the press release right. -
Something has/is happening. They are removing the lower queue of the Flight Deck station and the old theme items. While this could look like there are various possibilities....remember when they removed the divider in The Racer station and on the ramp...the park didn't make a huge deal about it.

Great PTR!!! Thanks for sharing! Did you ever figure out what went on in Delta Delta Die?

I renewed my Cedar Point Platinum Pass two days ago....I did it with the EasyPay plan. $20 per month til June...why not? I'm okay with the EasyPay plan. The only thing I wish I could do, is get an actual new pass, with the new look.

Not 100% but I think they rotate the train that gets parked on the lift hill. Could be wrong.

^^ I like that NoChickens! Great thoughts!

To note, prior to your comment, I was corrected about the security presence at the park for Halloween Haunt, I also said I haven't been there this year or last year and apologized. But don't forget what you may see in Rivertown, you may not see in Action Zone, etc. Just because you didn't see the incident that started this thread, didn't mean it didn't happen. Please don't take my comments about kids at Halloween Haunt as an attack saying that you're a bad parent. I don't know you personally or your judgement calls so I can't justify saying anything about your parenting. I actually applaud you for not just dropping your teens off for the day and leaving, as well as for not taking them to see Hot Blooded or Ed Alonzo. When I've spoke about parents in this thread, I've spoke mostly about those who either drop their children off to let the park babysit or those who decide to take action against a park employee for scaring the child. I can't wait to see your Trip Report.

But who's to judge if a person was raised right? I know...shut up Chris is what you're probably thinking. Overall, the bottom line comes down to security. Either there isn't enough security presence or there isn't enough security personnel that actually care to take care of problems. There's plenty of security and other personnel who can radio for security, all who do their job darn well. There's far more guests who don't like to behave. I agree. I haven't been there for Haunt last year or this year to know how security presence is. I do know a friend who worked security for Haunt and they mentioned they were continuously understaffed. Don't take my statement as a dig at security, as I've had several friends in the security department as well as have to use the department for a few things while being an employee at the park and even as a guest at the park. So I do apologize if I gave a mis-statement when it came to security in the park during Haunt. I mean without them, the person who is the reason for this thread wouldn't have gotten arrested.

Why are we picking on the kids? No one is picking on them. Here's the thing Terpy, the incident to my knowledge started with a minor getting to scared during Haunt. The mother who was there with her told the scare-actor to leave the girl alone and then hit the scare-actor with an umbrella. The woman made a choice to allow her daughter, a minor, to go to Haunt where she'd be scared and was then too scared causing an incident. The incident and many incidents that have happened with minors at the park is what is insane. The reason I brought up the thought of having an age restriction when it comes to being in the park alone, is that if something were to happen to the minor in anyway, the parents then blame the park and could create a legal matter. Although, I see it as a loose article policy. The park is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Yes there are minors who are on this forum and outside of the forum that are mature enough to be at the park either by themselves or with a group of friends, but the reality of it is, not every minor is like them. As for the whole age restriction how has it worked out for other parks? There are some that have it, Family Kingdom, Disney (I know not in the same league) and maybe more.
