To answer the question they usually do. From what I understand they usually find a family with 2-3 kids and bring them up. They also pick a kid from that family to "launch" the fireworks.

Wasn't for block checks, but to let guests know that we'd get them moving shortly or evacuating. Thankfully our block checks were all computer programmed!

Thanks for sharing YoungStud! I love the shorts trips and have loved when I've done them myself.

Worst coaster I've been on was Toboggan at Lakemont Park in Altoona, PA.

It's not fun, as we generally had to run up the staircase. Talk about being dizzy!

The legend of the Hatbox Ghost!

Thank you for sharing! So cool! -
Earlier in the season I had Sprint and the coverage was absolutely terrible, to the point I couldn't even use my phone except for a watch. Later on I switched to Verizon and had wonderful service in the park!

Really? Hmm. I didn't really think any of the entries were all that great.

Voting is open for 2 more days on choosing the family to help announce the new attraction: https://www.facebook.com/cedarpoint?sk=app_403834839671843&app_data=dlt-1

I agree..I think there may be some over-reactions to it. Yes, you may feel different and the restraint may seem like something is different but are you sitting the same exact way you were the last time? The way Diamondback's restraints are designed, maintenance would be able to tell if they were even a few days away from failing and that train wouldn't be used until the restraints were fixed.

A thing of the past? That's why there have been inverts made recently (2010 and 2012). Yup a thing of the past.

Maverick Restraint Discomfort
Creed Bratton replied to cjt121099's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I've never really had discomfort from the restraints on Maverick, although I ended up with a bruise on my neck after the first few rides from now watching the direction of the track and having my neck hit the OTSRs. Although it did make me look like I had 2 massive hickeys! Lol -
The Most Ridiculous Thing a Ride Operator has told you.
Creed Bratton replied to Original's topic in Rumors
Flight Deck and Drop Tower share crew members so very possible that he/she forgot where they were. -
No...just no. The ride already has double restraints, there isn't really a justifiable place to add seat belts either.Adding the units would be more uncomfortable to guests.

In a press release I got in email, the height of the lift hill is 167 feet, with a 150 feet drop.

You may be able to get a generic KI shirt in Coney Mall at the $10 and under store.

Yes. I probably like Magnum a little bit more than Diamondback even after working on DB. Magnum to me has given me probably some of the most memorable rides. So back on Topic...what do people think this new attraction will be? If you think a Dark Ride, where do you think it'll be and themed to what?
-
Why? I dont get that. Sarcasm. I once had Diamondback's initials in my user name. BTW, welcome to KIC!

I don't know why, but when I read parliament, I thought of the old cigarette brand. I do like the stats you gave though! Love your new signature image!

No offense taken, see the PM I sent you. P.S. I don't make friends with people who have the name of the ride I operated in their username

He said wing guys, that's definitely why it's gonna be a wing coaster named The Bat and you'll all be wrong! This post is filled with sarcasm, just so you know. When have I ever said that it was a wing coaster named The Bat? I was merely reporting what Greg posted via Twitter. Is that a crime? Just because you don't believe that it's going to be a wing coaster named "The Bat" doesn't mean that others believe the same way some of you do on here. Numerous people have posted here with quotes from the park's twitter and yet that's okay, but I post what Greg said and it's not? Makes total sense. Forgive me for sharing something that I saw in relation to the announcement tomorrow. Forgive me for sharing something I found humorous. I'm so sorry that I interrupted the decoding in a way that you didn't like. I'm not really sorry.

And Greg Scheid has gotten into the fun. Greg Scheid @KIGMGREG Less than 24 hours until the 2014 announcement. Should I prepare notes for the announcement or just wing it? https://twitter.com/KIGMGREG/status/365319359981293569
