  1. I agree with a few posts on here. The more and more I look at it, The more I think that SOB's station will be Utilized with this new Ride. Don May have said that is the Home for WolfPack, but he did not say thats ALL They are going to use it for. Its too nice a Building and Set up in a Very Unique way.. Not to Metion the Reuse of Vortex/The Bats Station, Granted that was quite a while back, but it shows it can be done.. Plus it would save a Little bit of Money. Granted not much, But every little bit helps.. Well The Bat/Vortex station was reused by the SAME company.
  2. Could that be a perception seen at a certain park located in KY... the park that may or may not open one day...
  3. I carry a ziplock back in my cargo shorts. Same idea as the fanny pack. But I just cant get over the look of a fanny pack. I would rather wear cargos than a pack... but i may change my mind one day...
  4. bigger isnt always better... referring back to the topic of a page ago. You cant claim Invertigo as an "everyman" coaster since it does a loop. I think when a coaster does a loop, extreme Gs, or extreme speed/height then it no longer falls into the category as Everyman. Invertigo does the loop/up side down moment. Since when do we judge a coaster's line as the level of popularity. C'mon KIC I know we are better than this...
  5. Why wasnt this riders phone locked in a secure location? If it was easily used to make a phone call, seems to me it could have flown out in the helix...
  6. ^^ then i would guess its just filler. making a quota...
  7. Well depending on the news stations, some producers will try to find "novel" news to fill in. These are the stories that get cut. Having not seen the story, I am just going from what we did at my station. Producers would call the police stations and ask about their run logs. Or in some cases, a reporter will go to the police station and review the run log. Also the scanners are on in the station all of the time. It could be that they heard about the run/call on the scanner. a few follow up questions later, and there is a story. Once again, it was probably thrown in as a cut possible. What time block was this story? Was it right at the beginning of the half hour (5 or 530) or was it more towards the middle (515/530) or was it near the end of the show (520/550).
  8. If anything, they are sure running a bunch of commercials. I have heard them on the local Cincy and Dayton radio (the familiar come to da beach, right across from isle...) and have seen the commercial a few times on tv. If anything its nice to hear the familiar sounds of their commercial. But I do question their "Open Now, Really", slogan...
  9. by descriptions of medical, I mean location and description and function of muscles ligaments etc...
  10. Did anyone see that guy just laying there at 0:12? I like the guy posing in the background. I like the idea of variety, too. It's okay to have mainstays, especially in the kids' park, but to have signature coasters in every park makes people want to travel to experience them. Well wouldnt KI have a few rides that are signature coasters, that are not clones of other park's rides (Flight Deck, Beast, Racers, Adventure Express). Mainly due to how each ride uses the land around it to create a unique experience, as oppose to the Stunt Job Ride, Face Off (can never remember its new name), FoF where the rides dont incorporate the land around them and could be found anywehre. I don't know if it's because I'm tired, but I honestly can't decipher what you are typing. KI has many signature rides. I was noting that perhaps only CP would get the wing rider, it would be a signature ride for CP. My point was all CF parks don't have to be exactly alike. I think I read your statement as KI had no signature rides, so I was listing rides I would consider signature... no harm no foul. back to intamin vs BM
  11. you know, to be truthful, wikipedia does have some helpful descriptions to medical terminology. It helped me through my masters. It would simplify things I was reading about or have color photos/videos.
  12. and the time frame when it was being built. 1992? The internet was not anywhere close to what it is now. Cameras still had film. Not many people would waste film (and money to develop) on a picture of a footer, or some steel in the parking lot. Plus if it was developed there was not an easily accessible group/community that would be very interested in a picture of a footer, figuring out what the ride was going to be. same thing with video. Compare to today, digital camera and digital video. Easy to take 100 photos and upload online. Top gun was just a "ride" not like with The Beast that the park knew was going to be a unique new ride or The Racer (since it was part of the park opening).

    eek! Top gun!

So I was looking for something else and it brought me all the way back here... the bold are the removed rides....
  14. I would say fake since its on the kid chriss youtube account...

  16. While I agree about not doing the snark. I have unintentionally created a topic that was previously created many moons ago. An answer with a link to the original topic is actually better, IMO. Answering the question is good, but also leading our OP to the other thread may also prove beneficial, maybe more so. Allows the OP to read through and maybe glean more knowledge that way. So if I were to, say somehow, miss what happened to SOB. I look for SOB topics cant find one (I wish ), and post a question about SOB. I am not sure how someone posting a link to a previous thread would not be beneficial to me. Leave out the snark and its helpful. We could say a thing like, Hey welcome to the board, but there is already a topic very similar to this, you should check it out, Im sure it has your answer there or someone in that thread would be able to help you.
  17. I miss those trees. Made it feel like you were going back into the woods
  18. different owners, could be a different type of ride or area or maybe they just cleared the area to make money off of the lumber business...
  19. Well I would think that most of the park going public couldnt tell an inverted BM track from arrow track...
  20. I almost feel that the statement of "He was the CEO the company needed at the time" fits his time with CF
  21. I actually had that exact same problem on raptor. never had that problem before. It felt like the ride kept closing down on me.
  22. If you dont think Don would answer the questions based on construction because you know they wont give anything away till the big reveal... then why ask? Hey Don, If you golf, where do you like to golf? 9/18 holes?
  23. Problem is, most people don't stumble onto a Dave Ramsey or Suzie Orman until they've piled up $30k+ in credit card debt, multiple car loans, a mortgage they can't afford, etc.... I believe the point behind Dave Ramey's plan to initial save up $1000 emergency fund before paying off your debt, is that in case an emergency comes up, you don't have to go further into debt. I don't know all of Dave's teachings, but I'm going to assume once somebody has paid off all their debt besides their home mortgage, he'd advocate having 3-6-12 months of liquid savings built up in case of a job layoff, medical issues forcing you to miss work, etc... From what I know of Dave's teachings, he can be extreme, and cut people off from otherwise financially sound practices, however you can't get into any "trouble" following what he practices. Pretty much spot on. Hes also a big supporter of if you dont have the cash then you dont need it. If you have a car that runs, and you have debt, then you dont need the new car. but if you have no debt, and are driving a 20 year old vehicle he says its okay. He advocates a pretty strict budget... Plus I believe he subscribes to the no debt in 10 year plans...
  24. I have however, will use a credit card to gain bonus points (pay off right away) or use to break a payment down for a few months, to not destroy savings on big item purchases (lawn mower, washer/dryer, mattress.) 12 months/same as cash helps keep the savings from dropping too low. Plus credit scores are built by responsible credit card use.
  25. Sooooo lets recount the twitter statements. What is your favorite Hawk How high above the park would a Pterodactyl have been able to soar? Plus a few "on this date" with references to Lion County, Congo Falls, and Flight Deck, and then one for Vortex. Searching through Mason and the county's sites, nothing available or nothing that is easily understood....
