  1. I can't say as I blame them...you are supossed to be their "friend"...if a friend kept coming over to my house just to insult me I would stop asking them over. Like! Consider yourself lucky. Many fan pages on that site don't have an area for guests to post comments, and if they do it requires a few clicks to get to it. As has been said in other posts, if you see 10 good things and 5 bad things in a day at the park, it's the 5 bad things that most people will pick out when they see the opportunity to contact the park. Read through the Facebook comments and you'll see a whole lot of negativity, a whole lot of uneducated speculation by people who don't seem old enough to even have a Facebook, and guests answering other guests questions (usually incorrectly). Frankly, I think it's a miracle the park still allows as much discussion as they do. Because policing that mess would be a nightmare. Especially during a season with a delayed ride opening... Brave souls. Yup. I didn't say anything bad just asked if more than weather was a factor. It was gone in minutes, lol. Yet people ask legitimate questions and get no response. I always do research before answering any questions but stay away from what I cannot find an answer. Most people on the FB page are very young or just plain trolls. I have worn out the "report" button. There are some very nasty things said there and plenty of personal attacks.
  2. So can I assume that you are a fellow pessimist?! Yes, yes you can, lol.
  3. I go FOR the pain, the ink is just a souvenir.
  4. Not if a lot of people on this site are to believed: http://www.alphamale...tattoo-bug.html I have also talked to someone who had it done with a laser...the results were not good. That is not a fair statement. Some things are out of a person's control. A few of the people I know got tattoos of music artists they liked...then. Back around 1983 one of my friends loved The Police, he thought Sting was great...so he has The Synchronicity stripes with Sting's name over them. Within' a year The Police broke up and Sting went on to make (in his & my opionion) very boring music...he now dreads looking at it. How do you think someone running around with a (pre-murder suspect) O.J. Simpson tattoo might feel? I would venture to say that you yourself could think back 10-15 years about something you loved then, but now have little or no interest at all. Like I said, I can appreciate a GOOD tattoo...if someone wants one more power to them. I'm sure TrainedBeast has given it a lot of thought and she knows what's she's doing and I am also not trying to change her mind...just trying to give her food for thought. Now I gotta go look up the hidden meaning of some tattoos. My artist recommends WB and I have personally seen it's results. However, individual results do of course vary. They also have products that can cover them up. Getting a Tat of something silly like a band is never a smart thing. Makes as much sense as putting ones husband or wife's name, lol. Most people get ink that means something to them on a personal level. Something that will forever define their life. I will admit there is a LOT of ink out there that will be regretted. However, most of it is bought by people whom will only ever have one or two pieces to begin with. Yes, people should really think long and hard about that ink before they commit to it. Myself, 13 pieces and counting, I see a design that looks cool to me and get it done. I have had them so long I can forget they are even there and you can't miss them. Of course one of them gets lots of attention, yet people never ask what it means, they just assume. I'm fine with that, I didn't get it for them and really do not care what they think.
  5. Unwanted Tattoos are simple to get rid of nowadays. www.wreckingbalm.com As for regret, those kind of people shouldn't get them in the first place. Many, many reasons behind getting Tattoos and they vary from person to person. Those that end up regretting them, only got them to follow the crowd. As for the comment about some Gays getting this typo of Tattoo, so what. Samoans love Tribal Ink, doesn't mean every White boy with an arm band belongs to a Samoan tribe.
  6. First trip was in 1987 with my parents and younger brother. I was 12 and am not really sure why we made the trip. Sadly there are VERY few things that I remember from that visit to the park. The things I do remember are riding Vortex with my father and The Beast with my Mother. About 2 years before this trip I had visited Opryland and loved riding my first ever Coaster, Wabash Cannonball. Using that ride as guide (foolishly) I agreed to a trip on Vortex. Once we hit the top of the lift I knew the ride would be nothing like I had been on. Made the entire trip with my eyes closed, lol. After that mom asked if I wanted to try The Beast and amazingly I agreed. However, once we were headed for the lift I changed my mind. Mom said it was too late for that. I ended up enjoying the ride very much and only closed my eyes on the first drop. Aside form the 2 Coasters, I have hazy memories of possibly riding the Tiques and Rub A Dub. I do recall an animated Wallaby or Kangaroo singing Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport. Did that really happen there? lol. I never returned to the park until August of 2009. After 87 my only park visits were to KK in 90 and BGT in 2000. At KK I rode Thunder Run and nothing at BGT. For some reason the thought of visiting parks never really crossed my mind and sadly I missed out on lots of nice parks around the world while I was in the Army. Back on topic, I missed a KI visit in 08 when I could have actually rode SOB. In 2009 I finally made a trip with my wife and kids but we only visited the Water Park and on the way out noticed the new Coaster, Diamondback. Foolishly I agreed to make it my first coaster ride in 19 years. Closed my eyes a couple times but enjoyed the ride. It was my first experience with "AIRTIME" and while scary it was fun. I was upset with myself for closing my eyes and steamed the whole winter about it, lol. Well, that and the fact that I didn't get to see the rest of the park. We decided to buy passes and return in the spring. Took a couple rides to finally keep my eyes open on any coaster, lol. After that we made many trips throughout last season and had an amazing time. I am know hooked on rides and Kings Island
  7. They look like Monroe Shocks to me, lol. Lots of workers and a scissor lift around the ride Sunday when I got close to it.
  8. Nice report Sounds just like our trip on Sunday, light crowd for almost the entire day. Never have understood why so few people ride Congo Falls. It is a great way to cool off on an hot day, especially when standing to the sides on the exit bridge
  9. Whatever you do, don't question their "Weather" excuses on Facebook. They DO NOT like it
  10. It is TWO tickets for almost the price of ONE.
  11. Great report, THANKS. Should be checking this out sometime this weekend.
  12. So, while the kids enjoy watching the Dinos, the parents have to plot escape routes in case of fire.
  13. Nasty, not really something that I want to see to be honest. KI made a comment on Facebook yesterday saying that the weather is still to blame for the delay.
  14. Even more reason to get my family to Florida. Despicable Me is a great movie. The minions are the funniest things to happen in animation in a long time.
  15. I remember walking through all the rails while in line for Wolf Pack during Haunt last Oct.
  16. Looking at the cams, today was a DEAD day as well.
  17. We have our Passes for KI of course. July 11th we are making our first trip to Holiday World. It is also the first amusement park trip involving my mother since 1990. She says she will ride the coasters but we shall see. My first ever Beast ride was with her, 24 years ago. We are also in the early planning stages of a Cedar Point trip to take place sometime in July.
  18. We were in the area today and had planned to spend the afternoon at the park. However, when we left the Hotel, we knew it wasn't gonna happen. Thankfully we had to be in northern KY anyways. We didn't even know it was raining at the park til I got home and checked the Cams. Seeing the rain made me feel better about not going to Ohio.
  19. Let my son watch the commercial and he danced with excitement. Saying that he cannot wait is an understatement.
  20. Had a trip like this last year. Good times, lol. Looking at the radar the rain isn't going to leave for quite some time.
  21. You are thinking correctly.
  22. I just scanned the QR code and it took me right to the app.
  23. I agree, with RG!!! The APP is very nice indeed.
  24. Very cool. Hoping to add this park to our list of first visits this summer
