New at Holiday World for 2012
Dieseltech20 replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
We were at the park last Sunday and while the wait times for most everything was around 20 minutes. Wildebeest was the one exception and took about an hour. Couple this with the very short ride and I am happy to see a bigger one coming to the park -

The commercials are NON STOP around here. They have convinced my family to return tomorrow so I guess it is working. -
Waits tomorrow are gonna be a lot more than 30 minutes. The park has people from all across the country coming in to take part in the ribbon. I'm sure the place is gonna be PACKED.
-
Many, many, many reasons why it won't open tomorrow. Wow, you really nailed that one.
-
Cool. One more reason to consider visiting the park Sunday.
-
This Sunday is the World Record attempt at the park, I expect it to be VERY crowded with $19 online tickets being available.
-
Everyone participating, be sure and have a great time. Will be a fun day and you are contributing to a GREAT cause.

Vortex. I love the gut punch the first drop provides.

Hence the many signs that tell you to keep your arms down. I can't think of anyone that has been SEVERELY injured in the tunnels. Sure, some knuckleheads have had their fingers sting for a bit but no one has been maimed or anything.
-
Hoping to make it on the 31st.

Very nice indeed and does a bring a tear to the eye. -
A Kroger ticket to KI and $12 for parking is less than a Holiday World ticket.
-
Same here but the level of comfort varies depending upon a number of factors.

Would like to see some sort of large flat.
-
Nope. The DA trail takes you right past the entrance to ToT. The trail as we know it, is gone.

IIRC, the water rides on the dry side of the park have free lockers also. Yes, they have lockers at the exits of the dry park water rides. One of my favorite things there.
-
The day I went it only took a few hours for my family to ride everything (Pilgrims Plunge was down) on the dry side, some multiple times. NO experience with the wet side but it looked very packed from the Coasters. I liked The Voyage, Liberty Launch and Raging Rapids.

We had a group of youngsters walk past us on their way through the SRL. Tossing up hand signs and yelling "Single Rider Line Boys". Brought a smile to my face when we returned to the station and they were still on the stairs.

Very nice thread, thanks for sharing. Also, Stand, thanks for doing the right thing on evil bay. I hate when something I am watching ends up saying "ended early".
