Slingshot is still there and still operating.

Shake, Rattle, and Roll had seat belts before, so that's not new. Also, I recall some discussion about Juke Box Diner not having a Coca-Cola Freestyle logo on the map a while back. I just looked inside, and the Freestyle machines are still there. And is it just me, or did they increase the number of cars on SR&R? They have 7 per arm now, but my memory is telling me it used to be 6 per arm.

Stacking is when multiple trains are waiting on the brake run because the crew was too slow to dispatch the train in the station. With Diamondback, in theory it should never have more than one train waiting, as the train in the station should be dispatched before the third train returns. So when the third train stops on the first set of brakes, before the transfer track, that's a stack. EDIT: Too slow because I'm typing on my phone. [emoji14]

KI preview night, 4/17 (only for passholders who renewed by 11/6)

At least a couple of us are wearing KICentral shirts. Say hi if you see one! -
Starbucks dining room. This place is HUGE:
-
The new Starbucks: (This was taken in panorama mode, hence the distortion. It's too big to get the whole building in one shot otherwise.) Prices are not bad at all. $3.45 for a 31-ounce iced tea.
-
Toppings: Overall, it's the same concept as Yogurt Mountain shops: fill a cup with the amount, flavors, and toppings you want, then have it weighed at the register. The price is a bit steep, but in line with what I would expect at an amusement park.
-
Frozen yogurt shop in the old Starbucks location: Many flavors to choose from: (more in the next post)
-
New funnel cake store: They gave me a small sample of a plain funnel cake (just powdered sugar). Good as always.
-
Not much change to Tower Gardens, mainly just removed the outer ring of fence. Otherwise, still the same, and still a designated smoking area. ^ Is something missing in that shot? The mulch looks very fresh.

The new Coca-Cola Marketplace:

If you are attempting to renew your pass it will have a block not allowing to renew. You will need to payoff the balance from last year in order for you to renew your pass for 2015. Contact the park at 513-754-5700 for options. What if I just simply buy new passes instead of renewing? Welcome to KIC! Please don't try to cheat the system. And do be aware that the park does read these boards, and has been known to call someone in for a talk with park security based on information posted on KIC. jcgoble3, who may or may not have been that someone

I'll certainly see if I can post some pictures of the Tower Gardens area. And if I don't, I'm sure someone else will.

There's also a sequel to that book, The Beast 2. Make sure to read them in order. -

Yay! I've been wanting a GOOD dark ride at KI for years. As for the shooting aspect of dark rides... ...this. -

Speaking of which, I need to find my cargo shorts. I'm not sure where they are.

Yeah, running from the police while towing a huge stolen coaster behind you probably would be a sick ride at night... with the specific definition of "sick" depending on whether or not they catch you.
