  1. Indeed. I would much prefer that restaurants increase their menu prices by 20% across the board, use the difference to pay employees full minimum wage (or more), and have the computer print a note on every check stating that tips are not accepted.
  2. Thanks for the link. I did some digging from there, and it seems that I just need the original labeled containers provided by the pharmacy, with a copy of the prescription for backup. I always carry my medication in the original containers when I travel, so I would just need to make a copy of the prescription to bring with me as well.
  3. Soarin'. Mission: Space. The experience of walking through World Showcase and browsing the shops. The variety of restaurants to choose from. The birds-eye view from the monorail as it passes through EPCOT. And that's just what I can recall off the top of my head. I'm sure there were many more details that I've forgotten in the two and a half years since my visit.
  4. Hopefully this is a precursor to getting properly responsive park websites. And I love that in the ticker, everything is up... except bravery.
  5. The major thing stopping me from going to Canada's Wonderland (other than budget) is Customs. I don't know what it would take to get my daily prescription medication across the border in both directions. I know I researched it once, but I can't recall what I found out.
  6. Approximately, yes. I may or may not reach that figure this year, though.
  7. That would be a steel coaster, not a woodie, in my book.
  8. ^^^ Try being on a budget like mine, and then you'll see how paying an average of $3 or so per meal over the course of the season is worth it.
  9. I just noticed that quoting a post now strips out all nested quotes. Can this behavior be fixed? Sometimes the nested quotes are necessary to provide sufficient context to your reply. If there has to be a limit on nesting, IMHO it should be at least three, preferably five.
  10. You and Jonathan Goble would get along well. Hey now. I need to break that addiction, not hang out with someone who's going to feed it.
  11. Suit yourself. Even as a non-drinker, in 2012, I found EPCOT to be my favorite of the four theme parks. Yes, even more than the park featuring Star Wars attractions.
  12. About a four-and-a-half day wait.
  13. ^ I seriously hope you're just joking. Compared to the power required to lift Drop Tower or perform a LIM launch, the amount of power consumed by simple lights is extremely miniscule. And that's putting it mildly.
  14. ROFL!!! This is awesome! On a more serious note, this reinforces the fact that I need to get in another visit this summer. Because while I had a few doubts before, I now believe that there is less than an even chance of this park opening in 2016. The only thing I'm going to wait on is the opening of the waterpark and hopefully T3 as well (because I need the credit ). Once both of those are open, I'm taking the next day with good weather and making the trek to Louisville. And I will also make sure to bring cash for everything, since they apparently no longer understand how to take credit cards.
  15. I purposely use British-style punctuation with quotes anywhere I can get away with it. It's the more logical system.
  16. Not all credit cards are capable of being used with the old manual imprinters. Some modern cards have the card number and other information merely printed on the card, not embossed. I currently have one non-embossed card, and had one other one in the recent past.
  17. No. Tapatalk has never shown poll questions.
  18. That archive is from July 2013. The Lake Erie Eagles did not open until 2014.
  19. (noting that those on Tapatalk like me right now cannot see the poll questions...)
  20. While inside Starbucks Friday night, I pulled out my phone, turned on the Wi-Fi, and scanned for networks. The only network it found was the park's private, secured network.
  21. Um, I don't know what was in the deleted posts, so I don't know who wronged who here, but can we just all be nice to each other? Life is a lot easier that way.
  22. I'm guessing the admins here don't use the warning point system, especially since Dane didn't know what we were talking about.
  23. Dane: He's talking about this: It also shows next to each of my posts, like this: I can only see that on my own posts and profile page, not on those of other users. And I'm guessing that they don't show up for admins.
