  1. No, they do not. Not to mention that it would be impossible on White Water Canyon due to the fact that riders face in different directions and the boats can freely rotate to any orientation, so no fixed camera could possibly capture a photo guaranteed to have the riders' faces.
  2. Too bad I can't afford another visit this month.
  3. ...when they're working. I've seen both of them down multiple times before. Speaking of which, that's a reason that any ride's on-ride photo booth might be closed on a busy day: technical problems with the camera. It's certainly not a common occurrence, but it can and does happen.
  4. I don't know if KI pays the lifeguards anything different from other employees, but I know the artist stands are contracted out to Kaman's Art Shoppes, who presumably would have their own pay scales.
  5. The retail installment plan contract that I electronically signed when I renewed my pass for 2015 last fall contained an explicit clause stating that the installment plan cannot be canceled for any reason. Your installment plan contract (which I hope you saved a copy of) almost certainly says the same thing. You're essentially asking for a preemptive "refund" on the future payments, but it's no different than someone who paid in full up front: there are no refunds for buyer's remorse, or when you discover you can't use it.
  6. Uh, what? What do you mean, "Festhaus is closed"? What happened?
  7. If you have an Android phone, check out this and this. It's not anywhere near as difficult or complex as it sounds. If you have an iPhone/iPod, on the other hand, then I'll check wait times from Xenia and laugh at your inability to do so. #AndroidMasterRace
  8. MDMC01 and I got a pic with most of the cast at the end of the show:
  9. MDMC01 and I are in the front row for the 5:00 show of Cirque Imagine. We have two empty seats right next to us if someone sees this quickly and gets here before they get filled. EDIT: The seats next to us have been taken.
  10. ^ I sent her a friendly private message about it a few minutes ago.
  11. ^ Indeed. I'm guessing this is an error by the reporter.
  12. OK, so we have conflicting articles. One from Wednesday or Thursday, saying that it was set to open yesterday, and one from yesterday, implying that it is set to open today. My head hurts. And for the record, the article I commented on is/was indeed two days old: Note the circled timestamp; it was also saying "2 days ago" as of my post last night.
  13. Just a note that the massive amount of bold text on this page is likely caused by unclosed formatting tags in the OP's signature. She needs to check and ensure that every open tag is closed by a corresponding close tag (a close tag is the same as an open tag, except with a forward slash between the left bracket and the name of the tag), and that tags are closed in the exact reverse of the order they are opened. Welcome to KIC, and know that everyone is entitled to a massive screw-up every now and then, because nobody's perfect.
  14. As does Warren County's second-best waterpark. And Warren County's best waterpark is open year-round. Hmm...
  15. Does anyone here have a showtimes guide from which they can post the showtimes for this weekend? I'm particularly interested in Sunday's showtimes, as I will be at The Beach Waterpark that morning and afternoon and would be interested in coming over that evening for the last showing. The website does not give showtimes, and the Android app apparently is unable to give showtimes for any date except the current date.
  16. According to that article, which is two days old, today was opening day. I wonder how it went.
  17. LOL! This is me sometimes. I often look at my on-ride photo and laugh at how bored I look.
  18. Now on THAT, I can tell a MAJOR difference. Sierra Mist tastes great. Sprite makes me gag.
  19. I also can't tell Coke from Pepsi, nor can I tell either from vomit. Seriously. They literally taste like vomit to me.
  20. I can't tell the difference between Mello Yello and Mountain Dew.
  21. As long as I can get Mountain Dew or Mello Yello, I don't care whether Frisch's (or any other restaurant for that matter) carries Pepsi or Coke products. The problem is that Mountain Dew is a staple of the Pepsi lineup, and you will virtually never find a place that offers Pepsi but not Mountain Dew. The same cannot be said for Coke and Mello Yello.
  22. It really just sticks out in Planet Snoopy, and not in a good way. Officially, Boo Blasters is NOT part of Planet Snoopy, and is not listed as such in the "Rider Height Guide" column on the back of the park map. It is officially located on International Street, despite the fact that its entrance is physically in Planet Snoopy and its operators wear Planet Snoopy uniforms.
  23. I like that they're doing $1 food specials this time. Last year, it was free food, and hundreds of people showed up without swimsuits just to eat, and the result was that out of the two hours the event lasted, I spent 90 minutes in line for food and only got I think two slides in. I don't like complaining about free stuff, but they really dropped the ball on it last year. Hopefully charging a small amount will keep some of those people away, and also hopefully the lines will be spread out between multiple locations allowing people to spend far less time in line.
  24. On extremely busy days, people sometimes have to park way out past Soak City. The walk from the main gate to the Soak City gate takes 10 minutes, as I timed on Saturday morning when returning to where I had parked my car for the 5K earlier that morning. Parking south of the Soak City gate would add even more time to that, as would parking closer to KI Drive. Without trams, someone forced to park all the way out in the southwest corner of the lot must walk two-thirds of a mile to reach the main gate, and another two-thirds of a mile to return to their car at the end of the day. Now imagine walking that distance with young, exhausted children who are up way past their normal bedtime. This problem also faces anyone who parks at Soak City to use their car as a locker while in the waterpark, but wants to stay until nightfall to enjoy the dry side of the park as well (and doesn't/can't return to the car before waterpark closing to move it closer to the main gate), regardless of how busy the park is that day.
