Just curious of the ones that went to PKI today. How was it? Were Face/Off and Delirium up today? Thanks.

I for one can't wait to ride it when it reopens. I'm curious to know if all this work will make a difference. I still alot of the roughness with SOB has to do with the trains. If only they would get new trains. I'm afraid that the trains is going to tear up the retracking quicky.

LOL. That's one train. The Beast has 6 cars per train. Each car has 3 rows of seats. So no two trains didn't crash into each other.

No. Depending on the sale of Paramount Parks. Unless PKI already has something lined up for 2007, I wouldn't except anything new. But that's just my opinion.

Well look at PKD. I'm sure the PKD fans didn't think their FoF would close for the season or for good. So I can understand completly why they are questioning it. Even though I rode FoF at PKD, for some reason I though it felt different. I do know they were no AC in side the buliding at PKD. So who knows what's going on at PKD with FoF. But I don't want ours to be removed.

I believe they have to be shipped from Germany. When Skylab was having problems in 1991, they actually shipped the whole ride to Germany for repair. Then with Delilirum last year, they had to get the park sent to them. I'm sure with minor parts that PKI has extra on hand. But probably the major parts would have to be ordered.

I remember that from orientation. I belive it's also explained in the employee handbook. I really don't think opening weekend is as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

I thought I heard that they are only going to use them for special events. Like over the July 4th weekend. But i'm not really sure. As for the Action Zone sign, maybe they are just going to replace it. But I have no idea. I also thought it was interesting that it was gone.

They are no shows at all right now. Which totally sucks. The Entertainment used to be so great.

I had a great time both times I was up at the park this past weekend. I'm happy that PKI is open again.

I Heard they were not a Dry Run Day this year. Is this the first year that they haven't had a Dry Run Day? If it is, do you think this is why they were lots of problems this weekend?

Yeah it looked great. Looked like even more theming will be added as well. And remember they are still 2 more rides in NU yet to open. So This will be a great area. I hope we will get the Golden Ticket award for best Kids area this year.

I don't think it was bad planning. Opertional problems happen. I'm sure all the rides were ran quite a few times before opening day. I'd think they would have had to to pass state inspection.

I've done it before. It's kinda freaky. But fun.

Things will get better. Give them a break. The things with rides not working is understandable. Things at PKI that I have a problem with so far this year, is the higher prices of stuff. And the fact on Friday with the amount of traffic waiting to get into the parking lot, they should have had both gates open.

I went 2 days this weekend. Friday and Sunday. Friday was more busier then Sunday. I didn't incounter too many rides that were not running. Other then Face/Off on Sunday and Delirum on Both days. But Yesterday I had a great day, rode alot of rides. I understand they are going to be some problems on opening weekend. Things will just get better as the time goes by.

The ones you see back by behind the fence are the ones that where used during the 2004 season. Well we know one of the cars had the roof removed and was being used for Winterfest, and another is still sitting by Action Theater.

I understand both sides of the agrument of raising prices. Raising prices can make you more money, but it could also make you lose more money. Higher prices less customers. If the prices are lower you could attract more customers. More customers equal more money. So it could go either way. So PKI's attendance could be down because of the higer prices, and Cedar Point's could be up with the lower prices. But I have no idea what's going to happen. But I think with the gas being as high as it is, may keep alot of people away this summer from traveling anywhere.

The Beast was running fine today. I rode it 2 times during my visit. Vortex was running most of the day as well. I rode Vortex a total of 3 times today. Like what has been said before. Rides are machines they are going to have a few problems from time to time. PKI will do everything in their power to get a broken ride fixed as soon as possible. Besides this is the first time in over 6 month's that the rides have been operated this much.
