  1. Yeah I was also wondering about that. I bet the tickets are invailid now, if they were bought during last year's season. On the question and answers part of the item on ebay, it says something to this effect. Ticket is good for anyday during the season that ticket it bought. If ticket is bought after the season is over, ticket would be good for any day during the next season. So from that I would gather that the ticket is no longer good, and he even said that if the tickets were rejected at the gate that he would give the buyer a full refund. Yeah I wouldn't want to buy these tickets, good thing I have a season pass.
  2. Yeah but the pic is very old. I would assume it was from Off Season 2003 - 2004.
  3. I for one was upset when the Paramount took over came about almost 14 years ago. And if you remember Paramount had to learn to get where they are today with the parks. For the first few season's the park wasn't as clean and they were other issues too. For me just as I was getting used to the way Paramount was running things now some new changes may be upcoming. On another note i'm not sure if the park would change names right away. I'm sure the new owners would have some kind of a rights agreement for awhile to still call it Paramount's Kings Island. Unless they don't want to buy the rights but then they would have to change everything, sorta like what Cedar Fair did with Six Flags Ohio. I guess we will just have to all sit back and see what card is going to be thrown out next.
  4. I for one don't understand this myself. But if you remember when the parks were bought out by Paramount in 1992 Viacom had nothing to do with Paramount at the time. Wasn't Viacom thinking about selling too before the Viacom spilt? I think what will happen is the parks will just have new owners but nothing will really change. It will probably be still known as Paramount Parks, just with a different company running the actual parks. But only time will tell what is going to happen next.
  5. Wow way to go PKIC. I also enjoy this site much more then the other PKI fan sites.
  6. It has to make you wonder. It has been removed off of PKD's site. So I guess only time will tell.
  7. Yea Drachen Fire Also don't forget, Drachen Fire was actually designed to be bulit by another company other then Arrow. Probably B&M. If you look at the elements of DF they look more like they should be B&M elements and not Arrow. I think that is where alot of those problems came from.
  8. It's been rumored like many times before, that 2006 will be the last year for Vortex I hope it's not true. But if it is hopefully they will replace it with a nice big looper.
  9. They have it for sale in almost every shop at PKI.
  10. You have 2 tats at 14? I thought you had be 18 to have a tat? Your still a kid.
  11. Here we go again! Vortex is not rough. I've been riding Vortex for a very very long time. (1987 - Present). FoF with the OSTR was horribe, but Vortex is far from that experience.
  12. I went to Winterfest tonight. The park had a really good crowed. Now that could have been from people who were going to visit on Friday also came today, but with as cold as it was, alot of people where there. I think something else we are not looking at here either is, our economy is not in a very good spot again right now. I work in retail and our sales the last couple of weeks have been down. I just think people are not spending as much money right now. I do though agree that the cost of Winterfest is a little high, but I also remember the first Fearfest and the cost being steap for that too. I even had to pay to attend the first Fearfest and I worked at PKI. I think this year is more of a trial and error period for Winterfest, whatever didn't work this year, they will fix and it will be even better next.
  13. Winterfest, "Home For The Holidays"[/font]
  14. That makes me mad. Winterfest must not be turning out to be as great as the park wanted it too. Why all of sudden all of these discounts. First they make you purchase tickets in advance, cause they threaten you with they may sell out. So I buy my tickets in advance for $17.99 for this Saturday. So I paid over $37.00 for tickets + shipping. Now your telling me that season pass holders can buy one ticket at full price and get the second on free. That would have saved me quite a bit of change. I wonder if I complain to PKI if they would do anything?
  15. Thank you.
  16. I remember a while back a link to some kind of Paramount Parks blog. Anyone have this link? Thanks
  17. Well unfortunally I already purchased Winterfest tickets for next Saturday, December 10th. So that's why I didn't want 10 Winterfest tickets.
  18. I won the Winterfest ticket giveaway from PKI. I chose 10 tickets to PKI for 2006. Even though I have a season pass, it will be great to be able to bring some friends along next year who doesn't have a pass.
  19. I will be picking this up next Saturday for sure. Anyone know which shop it will be selling in? Thanks
  20. Sounds good to me. I'd join.
  21. Actually it was only SBNO for only one season. It was not open for the 2000 season. It did indeed run for the 1999 season. In 2001 it reopened as The Wild Tornberry's River Adventure.
  22. Actually the prices I beleive on the food is the same. I went to SKyline today, cause I was craving it after talking about it hehehehe. And I remember looking at the prices going out of the park on Saturday Night, and the prices at least on the 4 ways are the same. Serving size may be smaller not sure. But of course like what was already said PKI gets you on the drinks.
  23. Actually they used to have Skyline there years ago. I actually perfered to eat Skyline at the one at the front gate, then in Coney Mall.
  24. I can't get to the pics, says page not found. Anyone know if the site is down?
  25. Umm I was at the park on 10/22 as well, and Adventure Express was running 2 trains when I rode at 4pm. So I don't think they were only running 1, unless they were one on the transfer and they took it off after I rode. As for why they normally take 1 train off most coasters (IE Vortex, Express, and sometimes Beast) So they can get an early start on the rehab of the trains.
