Probably why KI isn't getting any new in 2008 as far as rides go. I would except something big in 2009.
-
That is a very cool video. Thanks for sharing.

I don't know, but on the canada's wonderland site as of 11/8 they had the lift, first drop, and the part of the second hill finished. So it's very possible that pic is real, maybe it was just taken a weird angle or something?

Trust me if someone wanted to build a woody longer then The Beast they would.
-
I used to enjoy eating that the taco stand by the entrance to WWC. That now is home to Worlds Greatest Funnel Cakes. Is this the name restaurant your talking about? Or is that another?
-
The food of KI today really leaves much to be desired. I used to love the food offerings at KI, but now it's too much of the same. Burgers, Pizza, Skyline etc... And way too costly.
-
And no one has built a woody longer then The Beast for 28 years, why would someone want to do it now?
-
The desserts probably come in frozen now.
-
Exactly. However they have slowed it down much more in the block brake the last few years then it used too.
-
If you can't handle the speed of Vortex in the loops don't ride. They are no reason to add anymore brakes to Vortex.

They weren't really a set height requirement at King Cobra. You had to be able to straddle the seat with your feet flat on the floor. I always thought however that it was closer to 54 inches though.
-
King Cobra for me.

Only time will tell. All of the Paramount Parks have Coke, and signed a contract for X many of years to serve Coke. However as the park is not owned by Paramount/CBS anymore, I don't know if Cedar Fair can get out of the contract. Also I'm not sure how it works if they do decide to switch to Pepsi, will they have to buy new machines are are the machines like leased to the park to use, while they sell there product. I would love to have Mountain Dew though in KI.

Wings became a buffet sometime after regular season in 2006. I believe they tested it during the park sell out weekends, and for FearFest last year. I agree though, anyone remember watching them cook the ribs and chicken through a window on the outside of the building when it was Columbia Palace?
-
Or could it become Marketplace buffet, or Columbia Palace Buffet.
-
It wasn't the only ride to still use that spiel. SOB, Delirium also still used it.
-
I thought the same thing about the music. They must have changed that about the hours on Company rental days, when I worked at the park, the gates opened at 9 with rides opening at 10.

I find it hard to believe that they told you you couldn't drink water at your work station? What department did you work in? I even read in the associate handbook that can be found online that the only thing your allowed to drink at your station is water.

Loved your video. I hope you don't mind that I put it on here for everyone to see?

I would have voted for all the above, but the food in the park left much to be desired this year. So I voted for the Coasters.
-
If the date is correct on that video, that would have been the Saturday after Labor Day. That was probably a park sell out day, and the race cars were free. I know usually especially during P&G day, they didn't have to pay to ride them.
