  1. Yes 1993 was the last year for WAH. That tunnel you walk thru was built for the reason the tracks ran above it. The line was routed for Top Gun the same way, but you had to walk around the station for WAH do get for it. So in today's world it would be like walking where DOT is today, and around where those restrooms are, and then into TG's line.
  2. Same as Rebel Yell at Kings Dominion. The Backwards train on the the left track, and Forwards on the right track. Thunder Road however just started going backwards within the last 10 years, I believe it was during the 1998 season. I know when I went to Carowinds in 1994 both tracks went forward.
  3. That is the Backwards side, and the backwards side was closed for most of the post season. Probably some kind of trouble with that part of the track?
  4. The park was only open late on Friday and Saturday nights anyway.
  5. They should start the hiring process after the 1st of the year. They used to have re-hire processing like the second weekend in January. So your probably right.
  6. I was trying to remember when they announced 2007's hours? I do know at this point last year we knew what day opening day was. It will probably be April 19th, unless they open a week earlier on April 12th. I would guess though they should be an announcement soon, probably after the first of the year.
  7. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/visit/schedule/index.cfm there is the link. I bet KI does the same thing next year, as Halloween is on a Friday.
  8. Well I'm talking about an entire season from April thru October. SOB to my knowledge hasn't ran an entire season. Post and Pre seasons are part of the season. Pre-Season is the time from April until the park opens for Daily Operation, and Post season is from the time the park closes for Daily Operation till end of season.
  9. Nope, it was closed most of the post season in 2005. Then it didn't reopen till May of 2006 and then the Accident happened in July of 2006.
  10. I had some lady behind me on SOB this year, that thought that it used to have OTSR's. LOL where do they come up with this stuff at?
  11. Still wonder what they were thinking when they decided to build a woody over 200 feet tall. Esp with RCCA, Rattler anyone? You'd think they would have learned there lesson. But I think SOB will only be around for a few more years 10 at best. I don't see CF pouring money they don't have into it, just to keep it up and running. Has SOB ever ran an entire season? Me thinks it hasnt.
  12. Flight Deck anyone? Hollywood Stunt Track perhaps too. I have no idea if these names will be used, but these are a few I've heard thrown around.
  13. Okay if your going to make claims like that you need facts to back it up. Yes TR had a horrible year this year, but I would say it's not popular. Also think about it this way, TR is the first and only giant Top Spin Huss made, being a prototype things are always changing to make the ride better. I however do believe in time if they can't work all of the kinks out it will be removed for the park. But it will still be around for several several more years.
  14. I can see ride name changing for the 2008 season. They are going changing the main sign for next season, so something tells me they want to rid the park of anything Paramount by April of 08. But anything is possible. Also it has been announced already that KD will be changing the name of there IJ:TC for the 2008 season. Anything is possible.
  15. You know what cracks me up, is that they tell you if you mix such and such together you can create a bomb. I wouldn't have known that in a million years if they didn't say in the article. And you wonder why people do the things that they do.
  16. That looks cool, I'm sure ours will look familiar. Any of the other PP signs been changed? How about Carowinds, Kings Dominion, or California's Great America?
  17. The tightness of the restraints don't make a ride less jerky. The old SOB restraints were like FoF's's anIJ's's. It was very more rougher before.
  18. The Media always has to add more drama to the situation. Why would DZ be torn down, just because it was made by the same company its a totally different model of ride.
  19. I found out by calling 1-800-288-0808, I was wondering when they were going to update the phone line system, I'm such a KI dork I call from time to time to listen to the recordings. I was hoping they would update when the park would open in 2008, but no such luck yet.
  20. The group sales page as looked like that all season pretty much. Maybe more pages like that may be in store? They need to completely redo all of the old Paramount Park pages anyway. But they probably won't cause of $$$ issues.
  21. If you go to visitkingsisland.com it also works to get on Kings Island's Website. Also if you call 1-800-288-0808 they still say pki.com on the opening greeting, but if you go to season pass information by pressing 2 or ticket prices/park hours of operation by pressing 3 is says to visit our website at visitkingsisland.com. I guess we won't hear pki.com for very much longer.
  22. Nope, you must be a guest of the hotel in order to use the waterpark. I'm not sure if they give out guest passes for friends who are staying at the hotel or not?
  23. When I took my trips this year to Orlando in February and Dollywood in August, I changed everything to my Credit Card and payed the bill off when I got it. But to be able to do that you have to have money in the bank, which I did.
