I was looking for old KI commercials and found from 1993 and it shows fog in the top gun station... That would be cool if they bring the fog back.

I follow Gary on Twitter and he said he is on his way to Ohio to go to KI! I don't know if you guys are familiar with the show but it is on MTV... I wonder if they will be filming for the show or he is just going. Just a cool little fact I thought I would toss out.

We haven't seen any construction or hints for a "big" ride so I think that is out of the question. Most of the CF water parks have 2 wave pools while KI only has 1 so maybe they will add a new area to the water park.

Well... The rumors started from what WLWT said but then a quote from KI stated that the August announcement had something to do with Halloween Haunt.

Is the water park at kentucky kingdom closed or open cause i thought the whole park was shut down...

Why are people still questioning this... Kings Island said "We'll be announcing what's new for Halloween Haunt and Howl-O-Fest this fall in August" So I don't think they are planning on announcing a new ride.

didnt the lights in FOF line used to be off now in the past years they are always on...

Chaos was a very sickening ride and everything in your pockets would come out even if they were velcro or in your back pocket... hate that ride!

I live in NC... is it worth it to drive all the way to holiday world, i have never been.

They will add an attraction to the park that will attract people to the park something that says OMG we have to go to Kings Island. I dont think a family ride will be in the future.

You must ride thunder road! Best wooden racing coaster in my opinion. The padding is SO good its like youre on a cloud... most beat you around with little padding. Nighthawk is a long wait and isnt that great. Int is better than DB all because of the second hill. DB to me is kinda boring and DUHH you better ride afterburn, best invert ever!

Nice! That'll make getting up early more worth while. Is it slow like that in the peak vacation season too? That would be awesome! I usually go late June or early July and its about the same... People I have talked to say its never crowded and they go in August so I am pretty sure its always like that. North/South Carolina people don't like thrills much I guess they would rather be at the beach on vacation. I am originally from Ohio with my home park being KI now that I moved to the Carolinas Carowinds is my new home. Have a good time on your trip!

WOW! He needs some new paint... maybe they will paint the rides for the 40th anniversary

When you go to Carowinds just enjoy your time... the wait on all the rides are very little. The nighthawk is always the longest wait probably 20-30 min wait. Intimidator is a very short wait so don't ride that first. Go to the back of the park first because everyone always goes for Intimidator and nighthawk. Most rides you can just walk on with no wait. Carowinds is never crowded its probably the most underrated park owned by CF.

Yeah that would be a lot of money... and im not sure when the acre estimate was but probably before GWL.

That is what I was thinking and DUH Kings Island is getting something new... they do every year.

All it needs is a good theme and bring back the intensity.

I don't know what year it was but I remember the loop was in the SOB... and the 3-D movie wasn't spongebob.

Well Kings Island has 773 acres and only using 364 so there is room for a new coaster but I think a big one like DB is out of budget for 2012

I don't think Kings Island will get a big roller coaster next year... they haven't done much to the water park for awhile so maybe a new slide or something. I dream about Son of Beast getting a texas giant treatment but they would already be working on that by now.
