Good point. I was proud of myself for getting on Son of Beast in 2008. It wasn't the best ride, but I know I would've been disappointed if I didn't get the chance to ride it. I talked myself into TTD by thinking "what if this is broken by tomorrow?" It was.

During Paramount, I believe there were three choices for a new ride. It was either BLSC, the Addams Family, or a Spongebob wild mouse (with water effects). Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't BLSC chosen because it was a family ride, and it promoted a recent Paramount movie? We all know we Paramount likes to show off their movies! I don't know anything about Yogi's Cave, but it sounds like a great idea! If someone with knowledge of it could explain, I'm sure it would be very interesting. FUN fact: Flight of Fear was going to be renamed/rethemed to the MTV Soundwave. It may have also been moved away from KI, if you don't believe me, ask KD!

Okay, I have an obsession with learning useless facts about rides at Kings Island. Like how Diamondback was originally planned to have a 90 degree splashdown, but it was changed to a 65 degree so it wouldn't get the back of the train soaked. So, what is the most interesting, weird, crazy, or useless fun fact about KI rides you can come up with?

A key hole element is a theming element where you feel like you will hit the obstacle you are flying through. A good example of one is in X-Flight at Six Flags Great America. You feel like you are going to hit the lighthouse you fly through. I think it is a very fun element, to add to an already exciting ride.

I think the name Gatekeeper is a reference to the Levithan, sometimes called the Gatekeeper of h***. So even though in some ways it's a clever name, Gatekeeper sounds boring if you don't have background information.
