  1. Yes, the "Circus of Horrors" should be back this year... PKI/Oak Island Ent. renovated some of the attraction last season... Why get rid of it? -Hauntguy
  2. Yes, it takes around a week... week and a half to set-up a haunted attraction! So with (at the least) 5 attractions... I am guessing about a month and a half of set-up! This does not include set-up of park decoration. So starting the construction of Fearfest now seems about right! I will be at the park in September (Toyota family day)... I will TRY to take some pics for a Fearfest preview! -Hauntguy
  3. I wish they would bring it back too... To me, PT was THE BEST ride in the park. Besides PT.. PKI needs a truely scary dark-ride! -Hauntguy
  4. If your talking about the vid I posted up...no! It shouldn't cost you anything to view it. But try here to watch it: http://www.showbizcentral.net/misc/video/Fearfestteaser1.mpg Enjoy and Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  5. I think that they should actually charge for Fearfest... not alot... but enough! Maybe like $10 or something. That way, Fearfest can continue to grow and expand until it is able to produce an AWESOME/INSANE show without the extra cost!!! But it won't be to long until me get some good info. on Fearfest this year! They have already put in the Ezine about the auditions! So annoucements or the Fearfest site launch can't be too far away! I only wish that I was on staff at PKI becuase I have so many small ideas that would make Fearfest 200x's better than what it is! Maybe even better than HHN!!! Just my thoughts! Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  6. PkiJake13, I am quite knowledgable in video editing and just through this together really quick. The music is from a CD called "Van Helsings Curse"... the track is "Tubular Hell". I would love to see a train on TG get turned around... that would be SO fun!!! From what I have been told the entire "area" will work around the Sleepy Hollow Horror attraction. This could be in the same area as last year, but actually using all that land for theming or maybe theming rivertown as Sleepy Hollow and having the attraction in a portion of "Wings" or behind Tomb Raider? There are a few possibilities! How was the video? Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  7. Here guys, I thrown together a quick teaser video... http://rapidshare.de/files/3320306/Fearfestteaser1.mpg.html It's nothing fancy, but I believe it gets the point across. If any site wants to host this or have it playing... I give permission to use it. I don't mind! The coaster that was mentioned to me is that PKI would either run BOTH trains on The Racers backwards or one train on The Beast backwards... But I don't believe this, as it is just a rumor. Enjoy the vid... Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  8. I have just been told that a ride from PKI may be reversed for Fearfest... that is from a "not-so-reliable" source...lol!! Remember, just a rumor there... could be totally wrong. Yes, I have toured every Fearfest attraction... my favorites are(in order): 1. Sleepy Hollow Horror 2. House of Darkness (I just love the classic haunted houses) 3.Museum of Horrors (PT make-over) 4. Circus of Horrors (Guy who owns the company that built it is a CLOSE friend of mine...lol!!) 5. Maze of Madness 6. Friday the 13th (show in Paramount Theater) 7. The Freezer (it was just...COOL!!!!) 8. The Sewer in 3D 9. Trail of Terror 10. Elvira's Superstition That's my list of Top Ten Fearfest attractions... The Circus of Horrors is a great attraction, but not really... scary. It certianly has the cool and wierd factor, but lacks in scares! Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  9. I was not told anything about a new attraction... just the scare area. Also watch out for MAJOR and MINOR improvements to other attractions! Maybe even a reversal of a roller coaster! But that just a rumor... Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  10. Yes, like Cedar Point... like Knott's Scary Farm... like Universal's Halloween Horror Nights... That's if PKI hires the actors... but I know for a fact that the props and outside "dressings" of a scare area will be there! Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  11. Yes, MOST of the attractions were in the Coney Maul... but one was borderline International Street and Rivertown! Remember.... But this is a "scare zone" unlike the park has ever seen! -Hauntguy
  12. Ok guys, I know some of us are HUGE Fearfest followers!! Like myself! lol! But, if you don't feel like waiting for the annoucement I have a hint of information for you... I have been told by an EXTREMELY reliable source that PKI is going to add an entire scare themed area for Fearfest. Were, I don't know... but What? I do! Let me just say that... HEADS WILL ROLL!!! Happy Haunting, Hauntguy
  13. I am just not a winter person... and Halloween is the BEST holiday there is! Yes, better than Christmas. Plus, I believe that Winterfest has failed once, and will fail again. History WILL repeat itself! -Hauntguy
  14. WINTERFEST! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Haunting, Hauntguy
  15. While on the subject of music... If you can look hard enough (old site) you can get the music to PT, Fearfest music, the SpongeBob 3D line music, the FoF "exterior announcements"... but keep looking! -Hauntguy
  16. Wow!!! Great post man... As you stated, people will need and expect transportation from the hotel to the park... Do you think that a monorail system will be good to put in or do you think the park will stick with those old "train pulled buses". Great stuff man, thanks for posting this... gets me thinking. -Hauntguy
  17. I will be at the park as a Magician Entertainer for the event. I will be located in Rivertown... that side of the park. Stop and say hey if you see me! Happy Haunting. -Hauntguy
  18. Fearfest will be on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday this year. Of course the Sunday Fearfest will be the "Fun" part for the kids. The "frightening" part will be on Fri. and Sat... it says so on the park brouchers (spelling?). Shman, Does PKI take suggestions/ideas about the design or operation of Fearfest from the general public. Being a haunted attraction builder/operator myself... I have a TON of sweet ideas for PKI. But since I am not an "exec." I could not speak them easily to PKI. Just wondering! Thanks. -Hauntguy PS: I will be auditioning for Fearfest this year. If that's the closest I can get to the event, I'm happy with that! Sorry to get off topic!
  19. IF The Beast ever loses it's title.... PKI could very easily UPDATE and add-to The Beast. Just some "roller coaster plastic surgery"... They could just remove some track, add more turns, some drops and then connect the track again. There, The Beast WILL have it's title back. If PKI went this route, The Beast should have NO CHANCE of losing it's title. It owns it! -Hauntguy
  20. It is possible (and not uncommon) for the park to remove The Racers and replace it with an exact, newer copy. Todays safety restrictions are getting tighter, along with the age of the coaster itself... Does anybody know how old The Racers are? But I could see PKI doing this... just replacing The Racers with a new, Racers! But as far as PKI taking them out and not doing anything to take it's spot! It will never happen! -Hauntguy
  21. Well, I was just wondering. I have already been casted as a magician for the 4th of July Celebration this year. But I was just wondering about the band casting. Thanks for the reply. -Hauntguy
  22. Will PKI hold auditions for musicians as Carowinds did? I am a set drummer and wouldn't mind auditioning. Sounds like a great show! -Hauntguy
  23. The latest survey from PKI ask how we feel about a themed campground... So although they will be closing the campground they have, I am confident that they will be building another one! -Hauntguy
  24. Awesome thread man... great thoughts and ideas here, so here is mine (as if it matters). People love Disney for a reason, Disney puts it's guest in numerous experiences in one day. Yes, even Disney counts waiting in line as part of the experience. They have done that since they first opened. With PKI, it has always been wait-in-line, ride the ride... and that was it. When PKI introduced Top Gun, FOF, TR:TR and PT, they totally surrounded the guest in the enviroment of the ride... and "total theming" if you will. So PKI guest are now exposed to this Disney approach to theming rides. PKI must do a better job at starting the "ride experience" when they first enter the line until the leave the ride cars. I believe that PKI is on the right path to this... and I can't wait until it gets there! -Hauntguy
  25. As a magician, I offer a "Seance" themed stage show. It's really spooky and can sometimes leave with a 'wierd' feeling. I would like to see PKI offer some type of show like this for Fearfest, that would really 'hit hard' with some of the guest. -Hauntguy
