  1. I think another good question to ask would be, "Will you ride Banshee first in daylight or at night?" I think I'd take a night ride, because that will be the fastest time to get on the ride. Plus the fog and other night theming. Can it be April tomorrow?
  2. That strategy worked with Fearfest/Haunt, no reason for it not to work with Winterfest. The problem I see with Winterfest is that it wouldn't attract that many people. During the season, people visit KI mostly to ride coasters. Because of the low temperatures, though, those coasters (Except for FoF, of course) won't be able to run. From reading the posts, I've gauged that Winterfest was a few shows, some open shops, ice skating, and a frigid train ride. That's pretty good, but what would attract the GP to KI when they could ice skate, see a show, shop and ride a train somewhere much closer to them and cheaper? If there was this X-Factor, what was it? I'd agree with sheikra_rocks that there are some more pressing issues than trying an event that may or may not make money.
  3. Hopefully we'll have merchandise being sold with both the old and new Bat logos, as I love both equally.
  4. Ask and you shall receive a spotty rendering of this. BansheeOld by Diamondbacker, on Flickr

  6. Would they have to paint over the American flag? If so, it's gotta be some sweet bat cave design.
  7. This is what The Bat will look like next April next to Banshee! TheBat by Diamondbacker, on Flickr Bad Photoshop, sorry. Props to 2012Jarrett for that nice redesign.
  8. I'd love to see a view from Skyflyer or the SOB station. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  9. I'd love for it to be a scary theme, like Sleepy Hollow or something.
  10. In the shadows of falling darkness, wings of the night creature await their silent signal from the moon. - August 3rd Here's the direct link: https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/363832186694156288 I love me some more hints!
  11. What was his remodel idea? This was his idea.
  12. Maybe a full-time haunt in Wolf Pack or Club Blood? Or some kind of Halloween show in Timberwolf? Also, what will Congo Falls be named?
  13. Now we'll have something to do this offseason! Thanks, Kings Island.
  14. Does that mean Banshee will have a height limit? Diamondbacker, whose height has already deemed him too big to ride four Kings Island rides.
  15. Is it crazy to think that they just wanted to get rid of the under queue and be done with it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  16. It might just be for a new 100-ft tall woodie at a CF park.
  17. Oh yeah! I remember going to that show when I was like 5...maybe it was in the Peanuts Theater, but I don't think that the Enchanted Theater closed in 1995.
  18. Simple solution: Don't ride in the back.
  19. Thanks to myklhicks for posting. Here was my picture. photo by Diamondbacker, on Flickr
  20. I'm not sure if you all have noticed, but the walkway for the queue has been removed. I'll post a picture soon.
  21. ^^Good point. That looks kinda weird. Would anyone with more knowledge of construction happen to know what that is there for?
  22. Last night, I was able to go to Haunt for the first time this season. Although my group of friends got split up and fought about it, we all had a good time. Here is a run through of the night. 5:30 PM: We arrived at the park, where already the cold has started to set in. We rode on Flight Deck in a short line and then head to the Festhaus for some pizza. FD ran great today, and the cold wind hitting my face was great in 11-1. 7:05 PM: We left the Festhaus for Adventure Express, which was not as rough as it was during the season in 14-1. After this, we got our first experience with the monsters, who were great as always. 7:20 PM: We got on Racer, which also was much smoother than it was during the regular season. We also had good airtime! The monsters outside of The Racer heard one of my friends' names, and they flew to her like moths on a light. It was hilarious to see. Then, as the girls decided to take pictures with each other, a scare actor freaked out my friend, and was also kind enough to pose for a picture! 8:50 PM: After an hour-long wait, we were finally on BLSC. Why did we wait? Because of the fire next to the tunnel, and we all wanted to get warm. I didn't get very warm in 5-2 though. What a bummer! The cold was really upon us at that point. It was 37 degrees out, I checked! We were doing anything to stay warm. 9:40 PM: We entered Madame Fatale's Cavern of Terror after a delay in plans because of some of my "friendgirls" got into a fight about something dumb. Being the tallest of the group, I was forced to go first. It actually worked out in my favor, as the "statues" scared my friends after I had passed. This haunt is great, and they kept everything that worked about it from last year, which was awesome. (9/10) 10:00 PM: Now we headed towards AZ, but first we had to pass through Backwoods Bayou, which was well done. One of the actors joked, "What's for dinner tonight?" My friend responded with a "He is!", pointing at me. The actor told her, "There's a lot of meat on him, good choice!" I liked the actors, but I wish there was some demented Mardi Gras person in there. (8/10) 10:30 PM: I waited with some friends as the other people in our group went to get Skyline. While two of the girls with us were sitting on a bench by themselves, a demon came and lifted up that bench! They jumped so high, and I couldn't stop laughing at them. S/O to you, Mr. Demon Guy in Coney Maul. You're doing your job well. 11:15 PM: The bouncer finally let us into Club Blood. He was a great actor. When asked about his strange eyes, he asked our group if they wanted eyes just like his. One girl volunteered, and he was about to bite her neck when he said, "Sorry, I don't eat rotten flesh." (BURN!) As we walked in, I saw the girls everyone has been talking about. It wasn't as bad as others had made it out to be. The maze wasn't that great though. Maybe they were down some actors last night, but there wasn't enough of them, and it made for a somewhat boring haunt. Well done, but not as good. (5/10) Then we left because of the cold. Overall, the scareactors did really well despite the cold and the crowd size. I wish more of them had attempted to scare me, but I understand why they don't want to freak out some random big guy. Banshee looks amazing from AZ. Also, one of my friends want to know, can you get in trouble for trying to scare other people? TL;DR for the lazy - Despite conditions, another good night at Halloween Haunt.
  23. I'd say that High School Football, Opening Day, Fountain Square, Cincinnati chili, and the love of pigs are all truly Cincinnati.
