Beating the Winter Blues : Knotts Berry Farm 1/28
Diamondbacker replied to tjpavlik's topic in Trip Reports
Sounds like you had fun! Great TR! That's a great way to beat the offseason blues. My current remedy is listening to music that reminds me of KI, such as Van Halen's "Right Now" or U2's "Vertigo." -
Dinosaurs Alive updated in 2013?
Diamondbacker replied to bengalsguy23's topic in Coming Attractions
I'm just wondering if Terp is just stoking the offseason embers or actually means something by this. No offense to you, Interpreter, but I am hopelessly lost in your clues. It is, however, making me think big for Kings Island 2013. -
It is Screamscape, though.

The Italian Job: Stunt Track
Diamondbacker replied to Tanner's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
He looks like he's having a grand time. No offense to him, but that picture just makes me laugh. -
Some of you were speaking of a Jimmy John's earlier? Make that path, and bingo! You can put a Jimmy John's there.

The February 1st deadline at Knotts is in two days...could we see theirs up and running on Friday? EDIT: Nevermind, their website shows no date for WindSeeker's re-opening. http://www.knotts.com/rides/Thrill-Rides-1-5-12-42/WindSeeker

I know way off topic, but was Thunder Alley actually ripped out, or just retired? By retired, I mean that the track and station are still there but the cars are gone.

Outer Hanks is great. What I am curious about is the small stand right in front of it that sells what I assume are turkey legs. Is that any good? I'm thinking about trying it once every year.

No, that's a great song!! It gets me so hyped for DT. My change would be for Flight Deck to receive a paintjob similar to The Bat's and rename the ride "Revenge of The Bat."

I like the logo.

I haven't seen that one before, that's neat!

I do. What items have you been looking for? I've been trying to find a jersey. My dad collects jerseys, and I was thinking about giving him one for Christmas.

Top Thrill Dragster Raptor Leviathan Millenium Force Dollywood Raven Voyage Legend Chang (whatever the name is now) My apologies for inconsistency, but they're all on my list.

My question to him: Do you have any old Mighty Ducks gear laying around somewhere? I've been searching the web, but I haven't found anything yet.

Some people just don't listen(or in this case, see), unfortunately.

KI Seeks Applications For Seasonal Jobs
Diamondbacker replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
It all depends on who you are. I've had friends, some in rides, some in merch, whom all offer different viewpoints. My friends in merch say that merch is the best job in the park. You aren't stuck running down the same station day in and day out, plus you get to mess around with all the different kinds of merchandise (wear crazy hats, play with an overpriced slinky, etc). On the contrary, my friends in rides wouldn't trade their jobs for the world. You get to interact with more crew members daily, it's a high-paced environment, and to them it's just fun. Also, be aware of labor laws. For minors, I do believe, you may only work a maximum of 8 hours. Perhaps driving 80 minutes round trip for 8 hours isn't "worth it"? Make your own judgement. I'm sure you would have fun at the park, whether it be in admissions or rides. Thanks! I think I will apply for rides, because I'm always up for a challenge, and I don't mind the weather. I've been living in this Weather Roulette that we call Cincinnati for 16 years. -

KI Seeks Applications For Seasonal Jobs
Diamondbacker replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Can someone tell me from experience what working at KI is like? I'm interested in applying, but I'm not sure if it's worth driving 40 minutes to and from there during summer. -
EDIT: nevermind, the problem fixed itself.

Yes, but the Crypt sign has been covered by a black tarp. When I looked at the building this year while going to either Beast, Vortex, or Diamondback, I thought of the different possibilities that the Haunt inside of there could have. Also, it makes a guest who isn't familiar with KI wonder, "What's in there?" In my opinion, the park should put some sort of permanent sign like the one for Wolf Pack at the entrance of the building in order to maybe spark interest in "Madame Fatale's Cavern of Terror" and Halloween Haunt, and possibly bring in a few new customers.

Bumping... No offense to the KI & MV Railroad, it's cool, but not really what it could be. It's not technically wasted land, but there's a good number of people who only use the train to get to Soak City. I believe if that if the Old Western theming was spruced up a little bit, the whole experience could be so much better.

EDIT: Out of turn.

Skype....do you share or not? (Cam on k)
Diamondbacker replied to Creed Bratton's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
I had the weirdest thing happen to me...the user asked me for Skype on PM, and I said no and deleted the PM. Somehow the user found my Skype username and started messaging me on Skype. It was the weirdest thing ever.
