There are only 4 rides that go upside down at Kings Island, I think that's what he means by "thrill". I wonder what the GP would think if they ever realized that!

Can the same be said for Top Thrill Dragster? Kingda Ka? How 'bout Maverick?

Bad timing. If the motor has been in operation since 30 years ago, it seems like the motor would need to be replaced soon anyways.But what do I know about wave pool motors? I don't know anything about wave pool motors or how durable they are. Anyone wanna shed some light? Edit- Happy 100th!

^Son of Beast's plot itself is ample space for 2-3 coasters in itself.

^If you go early on in the season and a Friday, the lines will most certainly be *very* short. I did this last season, and almost every single house was a walk on-15 minute wait at most.

If the Flying Scooters Eagles weren't taken out, something else (probably in Coney) probably would have been removed and transported to the flagship. Don't you guys love Shake Rattle and Roll, the Scrambler, or the Monster? Adding on, why could Kings Mills Log Flume be saved, yet not Eagles? Believe me, I want the Eagles back too. I even had fantasies when I was younger that they were being kept in storage on Kings Island property, that the park didn't have enough money to operate them (or something like that). Do I want them back? Heck yeah. Are we gonna get them back? Most likely, no.

Oh, brand new supports were put in? Do tell. It's sad that there are people who think this way, having what they think of a funny and great experience at the expense of everyone else's. Other than that incident, glad you had a good trip.

The only way I can think of where you can be told "certain things by certain people" is A) You are secretly Matthew Ouimet. B.) You are very high up in the Cedar Fair command chain. C) You work for someone like Rocky Mountain Construction or GCI and are doing a major overhaul soon. or D) You are a magic yookneekorn. (I vote for D)

Well, according to KI-ORIG-EMP, any sort of diversion is completely unheard of, and not allowed whatsoever. I think it's odd that Don would release something to mccarthysnerd, yet not give the same answer to someone else.

I probably speak for most people on here (including the TOS), but please edit your post and add more periods. I think a post such as that needs more than 1 period. But other than that, sounds like you had a great time! I hadn't ridden Blazing Fury in awhile (my first visit to Dollywood in over 8 years--went 2 days before New Years this past year), and the drops really surprised me. Edit--Oh wow! Ton of people replied before me about the grammar fix!

I just need to get this out--Maybe the reason Kings Dominion's Crypt has the monkey warriors is because they are replicas, not originals? Kings Island's were almost all originals, with a few specially cast for the ride using moldings. ~~~~~~~~~~ Perhaps the GM at Dominion doesn't value theming. Seeing as how parks are not micro-managed by the head in Sandusky anymore, yet rather by the GM, he/she must have something to do with the upkeep. Did you go to Guest Relations at the end of it? I can't wait for the pictures. Sad to hear Kings Dominion was a bust, hope Europe was much better!

Carnevil takes place during Haunt, in the place of the former Enchanted Theater.

At first, I thought standbyme actually wore that Darth Vader mask while on the ride! Remember Standbyme, this PTR is wonderful and greatly appreciated. It sounds like you had a great time, can't wait to read and see how the rest of your day went!

^^Carnevil, a Halloween Haunt attraction themed to a demented or evil carnival. I think what Oldiesmann meant by side track is the transfer track that the ride uses. This is a piece of track that (almost) all roller coasters have (Omit Invertigo, Firehawk, Great Pumpkin Coaster, etc). This allows for each train to be put away, off the main circuit of the track when the need arises. Rides like Vortex, The Racer, The Beast, Diamondback, etc all have these. On rides like Flight Deck and Vortex, it's the second piece of track you see next to you as you are sitting on the final brakes.
