What are the chances we will see more theming hit the park in 2013? Little things like the LED's on Backlot, music on rides, and more lights would do wonders on a couple rides.

If that's the case, it could mean that a coaster might not be going into the space after all? Like how The Bat's footers didn't get in the way of Vortex? But these footers obviously got in the way of whatever is going to be placed in the future. If they weren't in the way, why remove them?

Is this membership of the paid variety?

Ok. What about The Beast in 1979?

Interesting difference in pass type descriptions
TheCrypt replied to khaoskat's topic in Kings Island
However, not all parks in the Cedar Fair chain offer gold passes. It is either a standard season pass or a platinum, no in between. For passholders of five parks (I think the all five former Paramount Parks still have Gold) to get unlimited parking at every park in the chain is not very fair to the other parks and their visitors, and it also is a pretty good deal. Can't we just be happy with what we have? -
Could the same be said for Son of Beast in 2000?

Gov. Kaisich Proposes Admission Tax
TheCrypt replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Adding an admission tax and lowering sales tax could be good, right? I mean, you pay a slightly larger fee upfront, but you pay less for park merchandise and food. Most visitors use their pass more than once every summer, so the money lost during the admissions tax will be made up by lower park spending. ..in theory, anyways. -
A new ride on a weekend will have a longer wait than just two hours. Just sayin'

Gov. Kaisich Proposes Admission Tax
TheCrypt replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Would this mean season passholders need to pay a tax to enter the park on every visits, or would it be an added tax to the upfront pass fee? Either option I am not a fan of. -
Did you flip that picture horizontally, or was Halley's Comet really located on the opposite side of The Racer?

It took me awhile to figure out this was a photoshopped image. Boy am I slow today!

With the whole "broken down ride" scenario, I'm going to ask a question that has been bugging me for awhile. What's up with the whole "you cannot enter the line of a broken down ride" policy of Kings Island? I don't understand the need for this policy. Would anyone explain to me why this policy is in effect?

I wish the fountain lights still lit up like that.

Every year, I can't wait for Haunt. When Haunt does roll around, I long for the summer months. The park atmosphere in the summer is much better than during Haunt in my opinion; it's when you see the true beauty of the park. If I were a betting man, I'd say either Tombstone or Cornstalkers will be leaving.

Don't forget the famouse letter misplacements.

I know they sell some just outside of Diamondback's gift shop adjacent to the smoking area, but that's the only location inside the park of which I am aware. They probably sell them in different merchandise shops. I'm not a smoker (I'd be breaking the law if I were), so I've never had to look out for them.

I don't remember Kings Dominion theming an oval.

I wouldn't look for Congo Falls to be themed in the coming years. It's ridership, layout, and footprint does not highly merit a theme.
-
...what? If you're making some kind of allusion, I'm not getting it.
-
Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the police cars in one of the beginning sequences during the ride?

This is one of the most ridiculous posts on this site I've ever seen.

I would rather what we have now versus nothing at all, because it shows they do care and are trying. Sometimes, something is better than nothing.

KD: Eldorado ride still for sale

If I'm not mistaken, El Dorado was removed for WindSeeker and not DA! -
I hear it's being renamed to "Backlot Stunt Coaster."That's just the word from under the black hat, so to speak.
