I'll tell you what I don't miss. Top Gun: Sponsored by Gillette Mach 3 The Paramount name plastered everywhere, especially in front of the Kings Island name. Unfriendly employees Dirty parks Their interpretation of ride rotation, which was essentially removing a historic ride and replacing it with an obnoxious basketball court or concrete. I still have a boo boo from those actions. Son of Beast Boomerang Bay The slow degradation of theming throughout attractions' lives. edit: that made me seem like I hated Paramount with a burning passion. I do like some of their decisions. After all, without them, our park we have today wouldn't be the same, for better or for worse. We might not have gotten rides such as Drop Tower, Delirium, Flight of Fear, and Tomb Raider: The Ride. So I guess they weren't the worst owners and operators, but they could have been far, far better.

It is not well placed at all. A Mexican restaurant in a Germany-esque area hardly compliments its surroundings.Aside from that, I've heard Hank's has the best food and pricing in the park. I'm not one for Mexican food, so I couldn't give my personal experiences. The seating area out back could use some general and aesthetic improvements, though.

Could you also explain where bengalsguy got the Oktoberfest information?
-
If that is so, may we have a new coaster for Oktoberfest than Action Zone? Once again, from 0-SOB in 73 posts or moreNobody cares about your 0-Sob in ___ seconds or more joke. It was cute the first time, but when you use it a lot, there comes a time where it needs to go.Kinda like Boomerang Bay.

Mobile user, here. Please elaborate SonofBaconador and bengalsguy23.

I'm glad Boomerang Bay is gone. It was old, crusty, and needed a renovation.
-
I might be going. Someone's slowly persuading me to go, but I'm still not sure. But if I am, I would prefer the red side. Blue was way too rough last season.
-
If it's such an easy fix, why hasn't it been done?
-
For what it's worth, I've noticed the violent vibrations start where the access to the trim starts (blackish handles in between the rails leading up to the brake). Nowhere else on the ride do I notice this, so it can't be the wheels. Perhaps the vibrations are loosely related to that?

Property rights are not restricting the various fog, fire, and water effects. However, my memory on the matter is a bit rusty.
-
Could you point out what can easily be fixed on FoF? Last season, and the year before, have been great improvements already to the existing theming, but I can't think of anything else in FoF that can be (relatively) easy to bring back.In my opinion, Adventure Express and Flight Deck need some thematic TLC.

Video: Where The Roller Coasters Come From
TheCrypt replied to Maverick00's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Here's a YouTube video. The flexibility of the design is fantastic; I just hope that if that company is selected, it is not overdone. -
Not to mention The Crypt, Space Spiral, and Geauga Lake.

I trust Ouimet knows what he's doing, but I can't help but worry we'll lose what's left of that "international feel" we have on International Street with the fountain renovation. But I think I would be content with the changes coming, so long as we don't lose the traditional fountains we have now. His gap estimates of our park has me wondering if we really will get a thrill coaster in Son of Beast's land. -
We don't know. Either that, or the people who know aren't talking (justifiably so). We as a community don't even know if the park has plans for the area or not.
-
Aren't all rides night rides at night?
-
Retheme or restore? There are a couple rides needing to be restored. *cough*Adventure Express *cough* As far as new theming, get rid of the Diamondback queue TV's and get some area-specific music back in the park.

New Paramount Parks?
TheCrypt replied to DBInternational's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
As long as VIACOM doesn't get anywhere near this project, I can see this working out well. -
So the Monster we have today is not the original Monster?

2010: Planet Snoopy, far from "nothing." And I'm not sure how that ties into my post?

We get a new show in the Festhaus, presumably replacing American Country as that show has run it's typical 2-year run. @KingsIslandPR I'll keep my personal thoughts out of this, mostly because they look like this

You just listed one of the major reasons the ride needs a major upgrade; the guns. It seems half of the guns don't even work, and the ones that do typically have bad accuracy. An upgrade in guns would be major in and of itself. Could it be the only working thematic elements in Boo Blasters are black lights and painted cardboard? A larger and/or more mature audience might be drawn if the ride's thematic elements weren't so "cheap" looking and volatile in operation. As is, the ride isn't "worth it." If it were to get an update, even just a few more 3-dimensional objects and a couple new guns here and there, the whole experience would be so much better, at least for me.
