I like Rougarou- I've had both very smooth rides on it, and one kinda headbangy one (It wasn't that bad, though I was also sitting in the very last row on that ride). I liked the strong G-Forces and thought it had a great layout.

Also if Kings Island did get a B&M Floorless Coaster, it would likely be very different. Not only has B&M gone from the OTSRs to Vest Restraints (Rougarou could not get vests due to being a former stand-up).

I saw this discussed on a thread on Pointbuzz.com in a similar topic. One guy said that why not reconfigure the trains on Rougarou and make them 3 seats across so that way you could use the vest style system on that particular ride. Another topic I mentioned was that they could spend the money again and fix the parts of the layout that cause head banging. Maybe take out the corkscrew at the end of the ride. Maybe take out the mid-course brake run because the trains fly right through it anyway.

Yes If Kings Island gets a B&M Floorless coaster someday, maybe they could make a layout similar to Dominator at Kings Dominion. The trains on Dominator are similar to Rougarou, but there's no head banging because the curves and dimensions of the ride are more spread out than Rougarou. I know Kings Island has room to work with so they could make it happen. Plus I can see them breaking world records if they wanted to too.

Also I don't think there will be any new coaster in 2019, as usually there are teasers, and we know Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds are both getting big new coasters, along with maybe Dorney Park as well. My guess is, for 2019, Kings Island will probably get some flat rides or something.

I would be so happy for Dorney Park if they were to get something new for once instead of some other parks hand me downs. That park has so much potential and it's sad that hardly anyone visits Dorney Park. As for Kings Island, maybe they'll finally get Les Taxi back.

  3. I think what Kings Island could in the spot of Vortex; if it gets removed in the future is a nice B&M Floorless roller coaster like Rougarou at Cedar Point. Maybe this time for them, they could introduce a vest restraint style system and be the first park ever to get a Floorless with the new restraints. Some people are going to bash me, but I'm a huge fan of Rougarou at Cedar Point

  4. I don't remember what year this happened, but I know it was during the Kinzel era. They were trying to get more people to the park after a down year at Cedar Point and lowered the ticket prices drastically the next year. I believe the price went up to almost $60 and people were complaining left and right. Maybe that's what they need to do again for a season is lower the ticket prices a little again. Maybe that's hurting the average families budgets.

  5. I voted Vortex for the simple reason because my friends don't like it. I could ride it by myself no problem, but even my sister thinks it's too rough and she used to ride it with me when we we're growing up. I guess things have changed over the years. If they we're to ever get rid of Vortex, I would vote for a B&M Floorless roller coaster and make the layout almost similiar to Dominator at Kings Dominion. Maybe it could even follow the same footprint of Vortex if it's not too rough.

  6. I have most of you beat as far as long distance is concerned. Except for that guy that said he lives in California, I don't have him beat. I live in Akron, OH; which is a 3 and a half hour drive from Kings Island. I'm more closer to Cedar Point which is an hour and a half drive. I love Kings Island more, but only get to go 3 trips a year which isn't bad considering the amount of things I have to pay for these days.

  7. Glad someone thought of this topic. Any chance that Kings Island could start selling those big giant fun size park maps that Cedar Point sells for $1.99? I took one of those park maps home from Kings Island after my may visit and then took it to staples. The lady behind the counter was scared that the park map was copyright and was afraid to blow it up for me because of copyright infringement. It was a miracle though because she thought I was an innocent looking guy and went ahead and did it. So my question for that is, are those park maps considered copyright material even though they're free to the public to take?

  8. ^ Well I noticed that one side of racer was smoother than the other side so maybe they're planning on closing one side and re-tracking that side for next year to make it smoother. It's still a fun ride to ride, but yes it needs a paint job badly. Someone also mentioned Firehawk needs some love as well, so I would love to see them repaint that as well. If Kings Island took care of those two roller-coasters in the off-season, I wouldn't care if we get something new or not for 2019. I know that sounds crazy, but anybody else agree?

  9. I would love it if part of this proposed giga used the launch pad of flight commander. Maybe they could plant footers on that slab and the ride could weave in and out of Racer? But I'm saying that because there are a couple areas of just concrete like flight commander that could use some love. Anyone know what I mean here?

  10. Hello everyone. I sort of disappeared from these forums for a couple months by accident. Part of that was because I graduated from College. W00T W00T! The other part was I have become lost with Facebook and Instagram lately. Not to be off-topic, but facebook has become boring lately, just my opinion. Anyway, has there been any land clearing this year in hopes of a new coaster where Dinosaurs Alive used to be? I'm behind on this topic severely.

  11. I went to Coney's bbq on opening day and loved it so much, we decided to go there for lunch and dinner. The first time I had the pulled pork sandwich with the macaroni and cheese. I loved the sandwich so much that when me and my gang went back, I decided to get the pulled pork by itself with the fries. Those fries, I forget what they are, but they were amazing too. I was thinking about getting the beans, but I didn't want to keep farting all day. Next time I go this summer, I will get the beans. Overall I'd say this is a great addition for Kings Island. Now when I go, it's a toss up for me of where I want to go for food. I love the Reds HOF grille and always thought they had decent food for the money. I don't have a favorite in there, but I love everything that I've tried so far.

Why not include B&M floorless Coaster? - Angry post from B&M floorless fan.

While I'm not sure I remember If I voted in this poll or not; If I could do it again, I would say bring in a Floorless as well. Maybe they could incorporate some twists from Dominator at Kings Dominion when they do add one. However, It's probably just me and you that think this way about a Floorless. The majority vote would go to the Giga vote.

  13. I have no problem with the shed except that maybe they could adjust the timing so the whole train of riders can see the animation. It would be cool if they waited until the animation was almost done and then dispatch the train into the station. Also you have the tree, the snake, and the bats. It would be cool to see another animal or creature pop in at the end. Maybe you could add a bunch of sheep making it seem like they're going to charge people. I know that sounds corney but to me it sounds interesting.

  14. I've never had a problem with the food service at Kings Island, except for the chicken stand over by Banshee. I wasn't big on their fries.  Their chicken was really good though. I'm really looking forward to this since my main place that I go to is Reds HOF grille and the fact that I never went to that place over in Soak City last year.
