Question for everyone. Now that we're in the month of June, are people liking the new fountains more or is it still mixed feelings? I was thinking once they started getting all the sprinklers running correctly that maybe people would like them more. I hear it's a big success with the new night time show though.

^ There needs to be a wow emoji here because this is the time where I feel like saying wow!

I wonder if they'll keep the old sign from Firehawk along with the old photo booth. Still both in great condition!

^ They re-used the old queue that was white water landing for Maverick when it opened. Do you think the general public would notice that much? Not trying to prove you wrong, but just saying here.

I know people are saying that they'll re-use that queue from Firehawk for Flight of Fear, but hear me out here. In my opinion, why don't they use that old queue for the new ride? I mean I know the blueprints show it being used for Flight of Fear, but even on a busy day with a full queue, you're looking at a two hour wait. If I'm a guest on a busy day like I'm referring to, I would just go to a different ride. Lastly, you have that old queue to save you money on pouring more concrete for the new ride so why not utilize it? I'm done with my point now so I'll go away.

Just curious did they just rip up the old Dinosaurs Alive paths? It kind of looks that way from the recent pictures posted on this page.

I don't understand why they have left the Firehawk trains near the construction site? I figured they would have been shipped off by now.

Anybody know If they're planning another Peanuts celebration week like they did last year?

They’d basically have to build the ride from the ground up, and at that point you might as well spend the money on a new coaster and not rebuilding a smoother copy of something that is already there.
Plus the footers would have to be spread out more to accommodate the layout of Vortex.

A floorless B&M seems like a natural replacement for Vortex, should either of those be at the end of their lifespan (no idea, but they seem to be the most talked about)
I would love love to see a floorless come to Kings Island. In my opinion, that's one coaster that's missing from the park. I feel like Cedar Point is more complete now with Rougarou since 2015. I know some people will argue that coaster sucks, but to me I love it! Maybe when Kings Island does decide to build one, they could build the first one with the vest restraints. Heck I think it would be awesome to have the first Floorless Giga, but the likelyhood of that happening is slim. There would be a lot of butterflies going down the first drop though.

I wonder if they’ll use a non chosen name in theming like something like this. That looks like Mystic Timbers station? Can you confirm this thatguyfromohio? Also I wanted to ask If there's been any new digging in the land clearing photo?

I had a dream last night that the three of us friends; myself included were supposed to go to Kings Island tomorrow and Tuesday. However, I didn't make it because I didn't make it to church beforehand and swore to my friends I would come down later once I went to confession. I know I shouldn't bring faith up on these forums, but confession ended up being like 3 hours long because there was a huge crowd for it. Then later, I had to figure out who would watch my late cat Tony while I went down there. I never figured that out either. After that sequence I woke up so who knows If I made it down to Kings Island like I had planned.

^ Did you happen to take a photo? Not on the ride obviously, but maybe from Eiffel Tower?

^^Alright guys. My bad. I just thought with those numbers from the blueprints, they might try to tweak it in the actual announcement.

Even though you guys are guessing 296' now, I think Kings Island will surprise us and this will actually be 305' feet with a 310 foot drop. I think that Polaris model is very much the real thing.

Yeah I wanted to ask last week where Gary Walks was and why he didn't speak a little? He was the founder and still is the founder of Kings Island. I would have stayed for that.

^^ His girlfriend in that picture probably wants to smack the crap out him for looking at another girl. I know that's off-topic, but that meme makes it look obvious. Anyhow back on topic here. I don't understand blueprints that well, so could someone point out where you guys are getting 286' from?

Just be happy that we’re getting a giga, ladies and gentlemen. I’m happy for any new ride, especially one that only 4 other parks in North America have.
After catching up from page 121, some people are disappointed about the height. Let me just point out one thing here. Kennywood has a coaster known as Steel Phantom/Phantom's revenge. They're coaster has a shorter drop on the main lift hill while the biggest drop is the second hill that goes into the ravine. Maybe Kings Island took note of that but put it on the first hill. I don't think this will be 285 like some of you guys are calculating. I'm thinking it will be 305 feet with a 310 drop like that Polaris video suggests. That's just my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

I just wanted to point out that I'm clearly visible in the train shot photo. I'm behind one guys head and waiving.
Coaster Stock 2019 was the best one I've attended yet! The weather was perfect, I met some new friends, me and my friends enjoyed the ERT, the food was fantastic, and the behind the scenes tours were just as awesome. I re-met Malem aka Michael and then there was another guy with him named Brad. I forgot his screen name on here so If you see this, please quote me and say who you are. I also wanted to add, that I loved hearing the guests speakers that Don Helbig invited to the luncheon and dinner meets. The only thing that I wish would have happened is for me to run into Charlie Brown, but I'll catch that blockhead another day.

4 more days until my first visit of the season and I'm getting quite excited to see the changes. Anyone else going to be at the park Saturday the 18th?
I'll be there If you can pinpoint me through a thousand people at the park.

Kings Island losing B&M?
in Kings Island
Posted
I would love Kings Island to be the first park to get a Floorless roller coaster with the new vest restraints on it. Also give it a fun exciting layout like Dominator at Kings Dominion. I would be up for that!
