Does Gatekeeper having inversions and opening this year in the state of Ohio affect this project?
-
Please explain to me your obsession about the color of the coaster. I don't know. Dark track for a Banshee?
-
I use pki.com way shorter.
-
I'd imagine it would since it is at a B&M plant. There is just no link to KI here.
-
What color would you say that is? Dark green or black? Any want to speculate if that has been completely painted yet?
-
An orange peanut for me?

The more you study this pic, the more you have to think that Son of Beast's station is going to be used for this project:
-
Top Gun is the former name of Flight Deck.
-
It would be awesome if you were basing this off the foliage in the picture. Yes I was! Actually I was looking at the date on the photo album sorry for the confusion. No confusion. Just saying I would have been impressed.

So lets get the lift hill guesses going.
-
Amazing shots!
-
So you want a steel version of The Beast? I woulnd't mind this thing having two lift hills like Adventure Express.

My prediction: Another possible teaser/clue coming Memorial Day weekend.

I retract this statement. Having become aware of new details, I can no longer standbythis. Back to the think tank to hatch an updated hypothesis.

I have a new diagnosis: Giga itis I so misread this at first.

I've been wondering if this coaster is going to go out of the land they have cleared right now, and take a turn towards X-Base. If they are building a giga in the current cleared land, it would seem more like Intamin's I305 rather than B&M's Leviathan.
-
If it was up to this site, I believe we would choose an Intamin to compliment our B&M. But from the business aspect, Cedar Fair and B&M have a strong relationship right now, and it seems like B&M keeps delivering popular rides with little problems. Why move away from that? With the complete success of Diamondback, I imagine B&M gets another chance at bat here.
-
Very well put. If you consider Kings Island's current customer base, it includes a lot of people who are in a love affair with Diamondback. They want more of it.
-
You haven't seen their Facebook page then.
-
I would like to point out that Kings Island hasn't done anything that I know of to suggest against a 300+ foot giga coaster, although there has been possible* hints towards it. Now I'm not saying this is the end all be all, but when blood is in the water about this mystery construction being a giga, I feel it would be unwise to allow people to go along with this "Giga Buzz" for no reason. If they don't deliver with a giga, then it's now more of a possibility people will be less enthusiastic about what it ends up being instead. EDIT: I retract this statement after acquiring additional information.

They also share nearly nothing in common with one another. From what I've seen, the one B&M Giga that exists kinda just looks like a B&M Hyper, only taller. *Making the faulty assumption of B&M Giga. Anything else, and it should not interfere with Diamondback's popularity at all. Location is big here though, they are going to be on complete opposite ends of the park.
-
Not only will it affect Diamondback's line, but also The Beast's. Have you seen the lines for those two coasters on a Saturday?
-
I wouldn't want it any other way. I am glad to have experienced both of those rides. Well I guess the Top Spin didn't have to be giant, the theming did however.

Like a looping wooden hyper coaster? Someone had to suggest that. Hypers are in the 200'' range, a 200ft+ coaster that has a loop is no longer a hyper coaster. That gets confusing.
