  1. I gave them a B. I think overall CF has greatly improved the park, but there is still room for improvement.
  2. I love TTD and MF, I really feel they and Maverick are the best coasters ever made. As much as I love them though, I would have to say Maverick is more fun and even more intense. I would much rather see a ride like Maverick come to KI than a "record breaker".
  3. Sorry to go off topic again, but are there any Zippers around here? I used to ride the one at LeSourdsville and I loved it. Since they closed I haven't been on one though.
  4. I noticed that "suggestive themes" is listed as one of the parental warnings. Club Blood is obviosly one of the reasons... anyone who knows if they're refering to something else? Like freeroamers or anything? My little brothers goes with us and we don't want him... or us for that matter around that sorta thing.
  5. I hope it stays FearFest, that other name sounds... kiddie and goofy.
  6. I've been going since the late 80's/early 90's. We first got a season pass around '95 or so and have had one every year since. I don't remember to much about the park from then, except riding Skylab with my Dad and some of the old Hanna-Barbara Land.
  7. I've had many, many, many double and triple rides on The Beast. They usually limit it to 3 though and you have to go through the line again.
  8. I'm 20 years old and even I remember waiting for The Beast with my dad as a kid with the line out to LaRosa's. Good times, it really made you appreciate each ride!
  9. I waited 2.5 hours for F/O. On TR:TR's opening night I waited 4.5 hours for it.
  10. As much as I hate to get involved I must at this point. Being a born again Christian(I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and asked Him to forgive me my sins and come into my heart and save me), some here is correct, much is wrong. For one, I do NOT believe in attacking others for their beliefs unless those beliefs are a threat to me, others, freedom ect. In that case have at it. Otherwise, Christ's command is to hate the sin, but love the sinner. To love all is a direct command from God Himself. As for love thy neighbor as thyself: Leviticus 19:18 says "Thou salt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord". Jesus Himself said in Mark 12:30-31 "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Sounds like it's pretty importent to Him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not standing up for homosexuality, I am standing up for Christ and His word. Jesus said "No man cometh unto the Father but by Me". John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." My job is merly to give the message, the decision is yours.
  11. The "former looping section" was actually pretty nice. It kind of has a little airtime hill that is angled a bit to make the track line up.
  12. My dad and I rode it last night. We weren't really sure what to expect. I do like the new trains, I now dislike the ride even more however. Some of the rough parts were actually very smooth. The Rose Bowl was a different story. It was the roughest either my dad or I have ever felt it. It was the same "jackhammer" type of roughness that was there before, only much harder and more violent. The element where the loop was is pretty neat though. Maybe we just got in the wrong seat at the wrong time, but if the others are anything like this I won't be riding SoB anymore. Just way too rough.
  13. I agree, I don't think Intamin would risk their reputaion on something that has such a lousy history(sorry guys, I like the ride too, but there is a line...). That being said, if it would give SoB an incredibly smooth ride I would love to see it done. I absolutly love how smooth a lot of the rides are at CP and really enjoy a smooth coaster much more than a rough one. I just don't see how it could possibly be worth it after all this.
  14. Ok hold on... there are only 2 rows per car on the new trains? (Looks in photo gallery)... holy crap you're right! Something tells me this is going to be a painfull ride no matter how much they slow it down(Mean Streak anyone?).
  15. I hadn't heard of it until I went to CP in '05. There's none around here.
  16. Try to ride as much as you can, but definatly ride TTD, MF, Maverick, Magnum, Raptor, Wicked Twister and Demon Drop. As for places to eat, you can't beat East of Chicago pizza buffet.
  17. Whaaat? I'm trying to be shensitive here. The first step towards getting help is always realising you are the one who needs it
  18. ^ I love it! I think it's rediculous how many people over react to so many things. This is a terrible and heart breaking thing and I think KI did the right thing, but sometimes you just gotta wonder about some people. No offence, but most of them do seem to be women
  19. Is it just me or did they keep the old lap bars on those trains? If they did that first drop is going to be awsome!
  20. I hope they don't put headrests on. A wood coaster is to rough to use them and it's just extra weight and it obstructs the view of riders.
  21. East of Chicago is definatly a must if you're up there! One of the best pizza places I've been to.
