IMO, next to the actual ride itself, the speculation and anticipation is the best part.

^This. Probably the single most important advice you will ever get.

Yeah, weather has definitely been a major detriment to the park this year. Mother Nature just hasn't been cooperating all too much. But enjoy your visist, and both you and your son will love the park. Unless you get Fast Lane Plus, which I'd recommend since you're coming from far away, you probably won't be able to get on everything. Be sure to start at the back of the park first (Maverick) and work your way up. At the start of the day Raptor and Gatekeeper are mobbed, but the lines go down as the day progresses.

A hint can be a hint of a hint...or just a hint. Or not a hint at all. Or a hint of a message. Or a message of a hint. Or none of the above. Ok, I'm getting scared. I think Interpreter is starting to rub off on me

Diversion?

Awesome. I wonder if any new footers have been poured.

Hey, it could be the record breaker so many of us have been wanting. I can picture it now: New for 2014: Kings Island unveils the worlds longest family wild mouse coaster! You won't have a dozen hairpin turns. You won't even have two dozen. Brace yourself as Banshee sends you an a mile long journey of more than three dozen hairpin turns. Don't forget to grab a Snickers bay to enjoy while you sit on this 5 minute side-winding screaming demon!

6/30/2013: Tweet-ups, Scarecrows, and More!
Ride On_17 replied to coasterfanatic83's topic in Trip Reports
I love tweetups. I'm glad CP started doing them too. Sounds like you had a fun time at the park. -
A next gen flying coaster could prove to be interesting. I guess I'll still say it will be an invert but I might just bite my tongue for a little while. Very interesting... But of course, one has to wonder, could there possibly be more diversions? I would assume so

This is real life, not RCT

Has anyone taken any recent pics of the construction from Eiffel Tower? Anything new or exciting? When I was there on Thursday I took some but have been too busy to upload them, but there really wasn't much of a difference between my pics and the ones posted before my trip. Since it's been a few days I wondered how much (if anything) has changed.

Yes, there are things we all want the park to get. But now it is time to focus on what the new ride logically appears to be. I could roll off plenty of things I'd want KI to get, but we need to think about possible rides the park could actually build. IMO, we shouldn't be talking about things we want the park to get anymore. I think we should really focus on what makes sense based on footers and other construction. Right now my senses are tingling, and with a wave of my hand, I will now predict the 2014 coaster... A 500 foot, multi inversion, world record speed, woooden coaster called Banshee. Ride On_17, who can never get enough sarcasm and humor in his life But on a more serious note, I actually predict next year's coaster to be an invert. The parallel footers are what really make me think this. I could be completely wrong, but this is just my 2 cents.

Oops, I just noticed that there are many duplicates of this thread. -

Hey, it's better than Six Flags. -
I wish more parks had something like Eiffel Tower.

When I said, "The theming was sort of cool. Can you tell I'm used to the Point?" I was trying to say that even though Backlot Stunt and AE don't have Disney-like theming, they have more than any ride at CP. I'm so used to having little to no theming on rides there that KI was a breath of fresh air!

I always thought that was for the StarFlyer that ended up going down the drain and getting replaced by WindSeeker. Right? Or was that just some bogus rumor? I never know what to believe when reading amusement park forums these days...

I like the whole Bat idea, but then why would Banshee be trademarked?
-
Hmmm Maverick's a tough one. I love the back on that ride but at the same time I forgot how much fun the front is. Now how will I decide where to sit on my next visit to the Point? Oh, the woes of being a coaster enthusiast. And I better not forget about El Toro...

Hold on a sec...This year's ride isn't even open yet and you're already speculating the next coaster?

It's a close call between DB and The Beast. They're both completely different ride experiences so it's hard to choose. I love The Beast because of its speed, smoothness for a woodie, and the way its built through the terrain and forest, but I love DB for its forces and intensity. I guess I'd have to go with DB, but The Beast is a VERY close 2nd. And I can't wait to get back soon. I really love the park and can't believe I've been missing out on it. I'm glad you like the report; I tried to be as detailed as possible. It's fun recalling all the fun activities I did. And I'm just thankful to have parents who love roller coasters as much as I do! My dad isn't as crazy as my mom and I, but he still goes on them and has fun. I will always remember this trip, and I'm also thankful my mom took lots of cool pictures so I'll be able to look back years from now and still be able to relive this awesome time. This site seems pretty fun, and especially as I continue to grow as a coaster enthusiast and KI visitor, I look forward to posting more here. Thanks for the welcome!
