Im surprised Six Flags is building/refurbishing two RMC coasters for 2014 even after the incident with NTG. This just proves how much they love us. If the trains aren't made by Gerstlauer that'd be fine then.

The summer fun card, is a great idea. It will definitely dwindle down the crowds on Saturday's if normal season pass holders are looking for a cheaper option. I wonder if other parks will piggyback off of the fun card idea. On the other hand, Holiday World stated that the date of the announcement would give things away, so possibly Holiday World will announce the ride on a holiday in which the ride will be based off of. Oktoberfest is the only significant holiday in september other than 911 rememberance and labor day, which has already passed. We could possibly be seing a new expansion, or a rethemed area.

Which one? And how so? The layout is bland, the trains are ugly, killed with trims, almost no airtime, and the ride is just plain bumpy and uncomfortable. I don't really have a preference, they are both mehh.

Whirlybirds should be considered a coaster too? I mean its a car on a track... technically Drop Towers can be rollercoaster too, they have a vehicle that is fixed to a support structure that is traverses on...

Maybe when Kings Island talks about Planet Snoopy having 4 rollercoasters, maybe they are referring to Woodstock's Whirlybirds.

as a newer member to the coaster community, I have a sort of off-topic question. about when do the 2014 announcements for north American amusement parks end because I am planning my schedule for next year...

All Cedar Fair websites were different and then they changed to the same layout.

Cedar Point and canadas wonderland both have announcement dates on their main page and Kings Island has already announced Banshee. looks like we are getting 3 new attractions in Cedar Fair parks

yup all theme park announcements will be done by end of august. overall this doesn't seem like the best year, but for the kentucky-ohio area, it is because of Banshee and kentucky kingdom.

funniest rumor was when a kid told me (the day of the announcement at around 1pm) the new coaster was gonna be called The Beastie.

the new coaster isn't personally something that will get me to go back to dollywood, but it definitely is a great addition to the park and will improve dolly's coaster lineup.

im thinking just a few renovations to the park and maybe a new hotel...

the thunderbolt reborn at coney island in 2014 is 10mil and pony express at knotts was 9mil those are both options for kk

I'm on AT&T and my coverage is pretty much 4-5 bars throughout the park except for the FoF which has no coverage...
