A green coaster wouldn't be bad but I like our color on it a bit better. A bit brighter red at least would be nice. It needs repainted soon too. If you wait long enough we might get that green color, you can already see it in many spots along the track with the current paint is fading away or worn off.

Firehawk is the only flyer I've been on, but I love the flip over at the top so would miss that element on a B&M flyer. Though some of them like Manta do look great still.

I think it'd be nice if they took Universal's approach. No loose articles on any of the major rides. But outside of them they have free short term lockers. Free for a couple hours so you can wait in line and then retrieve your belongings without having to pay. If you decide to leave them in longer then you get charged for the locker use. Then none of the major would have to wait for people to store their belongings in the bin, but if you get the souvenir cups or win prizes you don't have to spend a ton of money on a locker or risk losing the items.

I think if they did something similar to what Disney World did for their Storybook Circus section it could look good. The ground there looks great and it is sort of a brownish concrete with animal foot/hoof prints in it and peanuts embedded intot eh ground.

I agree with others saying the Peanuts theme is good for the kids area. It might not be as mainstream but most people know them, at least from the holiday specials. Plus they are classic, timeless characters. The theming to current shows grows dated fast and the shows become mostly forgotten after awhile so it would need to be constantly updated. I think Boo Blasters should be removed and have the ride incorporated into Planet Snoopy as a Peanuts dark ride, maybe a Great Pumpkin theme. Could still be a shooter and the simple characters and designs would lend to a better look for a cheap dark ride in the building than boo blasters does. Would like to see ACtion Theatre either restored or a new dark ride put in there, maybe have a return of Phantom Theatre placed back there, could fit in with the boardwalk theme. A new high tech dark ride like Canada's Wonderland is getting for Action Zone or Rivertown. Would love something like Curse of Darkastle but probably won't get something that nice. See Tomb Raider brought back to its original glory. A Screamin Swing in X-Base Flying Eagles brought back A giga that runs back by Banshee and The Bat. Could reuse Son of Beast's station for it. Soemthing like I-305 that has some big hills but also hugs the terrain. Soemthing similar to Maverick as well. Antique cars brought back. Agree with the poster who said they would fit well where Dinosaurs Alive is. (Side note would be nice if Kings Island gave Gold and Platinum pass holders free access like Kings Dominion will have)

I think it helps round out the park as well. I would love to see us get a giga. Though would like it to be a sort of cross between Millie and I-305. Get a few big hills on it but also some ground hugging fast turns. Also get a terrain hugger like Maverick that is smaller but does more and can possibly go through the woods somewhere, maybe place it where crypt was. Remove the big box but leave the queue as is just rethemed to a mine. If we added this two I think we'd have a great coaster line up at the park. Not expecting to see two like that added anytime soon but hopefully in the next 8-10 years, with some good new flats and a dark ride added in between.

If they went with renaming Delirium they could have it be The Pendulum and Stunt Crew Grill could be come The (BBQ) Pit. So then we would have the pit and the pendulum.
-
I would like to see a few additions to the water park as well. We need a water coaster and a signature slide tower.

It does look pretty tight under there in the photo. But it coudl jsut be how it comes across in the picture. There really isn't too much to gauge the height from and the distance between the upper floor and track looks smaller than it likely is to me. I do hope there is a shop underneath it though.

If I had to pick one I'd probably say The Beast. It is the ride that Kings Isalnd is really known and celebrated for. Plus it has broken adn held many records for mroe than 3 decades. After that probably The Racer. It was one of teh parks' original attractions and is a landmark coaster and played a vital role in the coaster renaissance, it was the one that really sparked the new golden age of coasters which got us to where we are today. So as far as general coaster history The Racer is the more historic but Beast is teh more widely known and recognized one for the park itself.

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI

I love the top spins as well. After Crypt got removed I kept hoping we could get a new regular top spin put somewhere in the park. Would like to see one themed like the outdoor Tomb Raider/crypt top spins at the other parks. That or as a flat added to teh X-Base section. It would probably fit in well as a flight training ride. Pair it with a Screamin' Swing and maybe a Power Shot tower to be a training facility section to X-Base. -
I agree with you. It would be nice to get some themeing but that particular prop is much more a general winged demon than a bat.

Looks like it should be good but if that is the layout of the actual ride that does look very small. As long as it turns out well I'd love to see something like it installed at Kings Island as well. -
The theming int he area has mostly been done with paint jobs on buildings adn rides so it would be fairly easy to retheme it all. And I agree that it would make a great area for a Darkastle type ride. If they took out the Timberwolf theatre it would fit nicely in that area too. I wuolnd't expect to see that added for a few years but it wouldn't be too much mroe of an investment than Banshee was and would likely be an extremely popular ride that would pull in a lot of people as it would appeal to jsut about everyone and not just families or thrill seekers.

Think Spectre would be a great name for Invertigo. I always thought ti had a bit of a ghostly look to it witht eh blue paint for some reason. Couldn't really think of a fitting name aside from Poltergeist but that's already used by Six Flags, but Spectre would be perfect as well.

Excuse you? No one is complaining, I was pointing it out and wondering "WHY?" Besides, one can CLEARLY see by looking at the horizontal support, that it is wider. I think since B&M is my favorite maker, and having ridden 41 of the 90 in the world, 13 of which are inverted, I would know. Don't argue with me about B&M. Yea I don't thinkt his is a complaint but it is kind of curious why the loop seems to be so wide compared to others. Hadn't noticed how wide it was until seeing it in that photo.

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI

I would want to bring in a thrilling dark ride like Transformers or Spider-Man from Universal or Indiana Jones from Disney. Just be worried that they wouldn't keep effects up though and the rides wouldn't be as good. -
Those look like they could be a lot of fun. Never ridden ones like that so not sure how the comfort level would be but The Bat isn't the longest ride either. Once you get to the top of the lift it doesnt' take too long to run the course.
-
Really wish they would add a path like this again somewhere. I always missed it. Could be placed somewhere between Rivertown and BLSC or even on the path from Planet Snoopy to Soak City.
-
I like them both but would probably have to go with The Bat. I love how The Bat is incorporated intot eh name itself. I really like Banshee as well, but think it'd have been better with just the name and the Banshee, having the coaster track in the back just makes it seem a bit busier and too much. On the leaked logo for The Bat, I did like the orange eyes adn that teh lettering ahd a bat's coloring, but I think the new/final one is better since it pops more, the dark grey on black gets lost in itself a bit. Up close ont eh screen here it's distinguishable but from across a section of the park it might come across more as a dark grey blob.

I agree I enjoy teh coaster a lot as well. But it could stand to get a new theme, but as it stands right now it is kind of all by itself a bit so it doesn't stand out. It's seperated from Coney Mall by the Malt Shop and basketball game, and then there's the path to Rivertown from it that seperates it there so it is fine as nice but it could look nicer too. i definitely don't want to lose it to another park. I think it makes for ag reat high thrill family ride and a good transition coaster for someone wanting to moe up to something more thrilling but afraid to tackle the heights that others like Vortex and Diamondback present. It isn't very intimidating to look at but it can pack quite a punch on it, especailly the inital launch and helix.
-
It makes it easier to retheme now, but considering it was themed as a backlot area, it's kind of a shame that they couldn't have fit the Backlot Stunt Coaster in the Action Zone area as it would have fit in perfectly with the theme.
-
I don't think it needs a repaint right now. But if they do retheme the entire area I believe it and drop zone would need a toned down paint job to fit the spooky theme. I'm only expecting the minizone to be added for next year. Maybe a full retheme in another year or two but not all at once.

What ride would you remove from Kings Island?
purdude86 replied to GamesAndRides's topic in Kings Island
If I had to remove one I'd take out the Action Theatre, if you can even count it anymore. It doesnt' serve much of a purpose anymore. Got a dino film no one watches and a maze used one month a year. Rather see it removed to make way for a new ride, or gut it and install a new dark ride. Congo Falls could go too, but I rather see it moved to Soak City than removed completely. It's a fun ride but unless it's really hot out I just don't feel like getting that drenched. But if it was in Soak City it'd be a great addition, don't have to worry about getting wet since that's why you're there, and it ahs a high capacity. I hardly see more than a handful of people on a boat at any time, if any, where it is at now. -
I'm taking the painting with a grain fo salt as the colors seem fine, but if it does get repainted I really hope they do darker colors on it adn not jsut refresh the paint it currently has.
