Top choice would be the return of the Phantom Theatre. I liked the Smurfs when I was a kid but I loved the Phantom Theatre and was so disappointed when it got changed to Scooby Doo. I would ride it over and over. Also Tomb Raider returned with all the effects as it was when it first opened. And Antique Cars and Woodstock Express back to Beastie with the tunnel.

I agree with Spectrum that Amusement Dark sounds more like a nighttime event than a park section. It would work but i'm jsut not a big fan of the name for a aprk section, works great for an event though. As for renaming other rides I love the idea of Delirium being a Pit and the Pendulum theme. Just need to repaint it to match which wouldn't be too hard for a ride of it's size. Also Drop Tower becoming Guillotine would be great. As far as Invertigo, with it's new colors I've always kind of imagined it with a bit of a ghost theme to it, so maybe something like Poltergeist. New logo could have a ghost on it with it's body forming the track shape a bit, just worried it might look too much like Banshee's though. Could also put a bunch of gravestones aroudn teh ground under it to make it be like a ghost flying through a graveyard. They might retheme the theme the whole area over time but I really think for 2014 we are just going to have a new mini-zone with Bat, Banshee and Xtreme Skyflyer

I think it would be cool to see the lift enclosed but I'm not counting on it. i do like the idea of making the station over to look bit like a bell tower. Hopefuly they will do something with it. Also would be cool to see them do something with the bridge you pass under at teh start of the queue line. Think it would look good if they gave it a cave look with some LED light eyes in a few spots to look like bats peering out. It's such a small spot that it could probably be done pretty easily and would make a big impact.

Mine was a night ride on The Beast on 10/26. Best way to cap off a season of rides there.

I'm very happy to see this announcement. I was really hoping this would happen after the logo was leaked out with the fake webpage. I love the new Bat logo and the ride has needed a little attention with new paint and such. Plus The Bat theme fits well for teh ride adn location and with having Banshee by it it gives the spot back there a bit of a dark forest mini land ala X-Base.

Yea I would love to see that as well. That was my first thought when Isw teh announcement for Falcon's Fury, we need to get seats like this on Drop Tower.

Ones I would like to see added are something like Skyhawk over in X-Base. Would fit great as a pilot training exercise. Where Crypt is maybe keep teh building but theme to a mine to fit the area and put in a new top spin, top scan, or sledgehammer. Der SPinning Kegger brought back to the Oktoberfest area. Some general rides in the Starlight Spectacular area as others have said. It's just so bare and looks tacky, especailly at night with half of it not working. Could put some classic flats tehre like a tilt-a-whirl and Flying Eagles. As for capacity, there are many falt rides that can get good capacity on them. Skyhawk can get 800/hr. Delirium and WindSeeker get 1000. So slightly under most of teh coasters but not by too much. FoF only gets 1200. They can't load until the ride cycle is done but since they can hold 50 to 60 people on them they can keep up pretty well.

Yea exactly as devarious said. The long brake run is mroe to do with blocking than jsut for slowing the train down. For it to ahve a three train operation with no MCBR it has to be set up to be able to have two train sitting on the brake run plus space for teh second one to slow down when it comes into it. So while it might look excessive it is for safety and capacity purposes. If they had a shorter break run they could only do a two train operation.
-
You have to remember though that part of the reason Banshee's brake run is so long is likely due ot the fact that it has no MCBR. Watching a video for Pyrenees, if you added it's MCBR to it's final brake run they'd probably be similar lengths. Same thing with Raptor.

For a new ride I'd wait 2 to 3 hours depeding on the ride. Otherwise I probably woulnd't want to do nything voer an hour. It depends a bit on the ride. Something real short or not too thrilling I wouldn't wait more than 30 for probably. But a big coaster or immersive dark ride like Harry Potter or Spiderman I'd probably go to 90 minutes. I wish parks like KI would put in single rider lines like most of the big theme parks have. Helps capacity and provides a quick line to get onto rides if you don't care about riding with a specific person. I went for the opening of Harry Potter at Universal and all the lines were close to 2 hours or more for most rides, HP was about 3-4 all day. My friend and I did single rider for everything and almost all of the rides were 5-10 minute waits that way. We rode HP 4 times in under an hour while the regular line was 4 hours long.

I agree about Urgent Scare. It was a lot better when it first opened and they had the outdoor portions to it as well. Gave it a much more immersive feeling. I wish they would have kept that. I tend to skip it now unless it has a short line.

Massacre Manor was ok but I never found it to be that great so I wasn't too disappointed to see it go. However, I thought ti was pointless to replace it with a haunt with a very similar theme (massacre inside a large house). If you aren't going to change it don't do it. Pretty much had the same thought of it as Forsaken that it seemed like a mix between Club Blood and Massacre Manor. wish they would have just kept Massacre Manor in this case and focused more money and efforts on upgrading some of teh existing haunts instead of a half hearted new one. Though it is nice to see that some did get a bit of upgrading still like Tombstone Terror-tory

I definitely agree about the dolphin show having too much talking. It's a fun show but it seems like a mjority of it is the trainiers talking and then having the dolphins do a couple tricks. As for the cheetahs they have always been in that spot by the elephants.

Flight Deck - Add themeing and repaint. Think it would be nice to have it rethemed as The Bat and make that area back there a dark forest theme with it and Banshee. Adventure Express - Get all the effects working again Racer - Make one side go backwards again BLSC - Get all teh fire and water effects back Drop Zone - Have it spin the entire way up instead of just one rotation. Flight of Fear - All lights out int he bowl and starfield in the launch tunnel. Beast - Lessen the mid course trims. Boo Blasters - Aside from a whole new better dark ride, jsut make the lasers visible so you know where you are shooting.
-
I can completely see that. You could wait 10 years adn have it in another area and people would still think it was SoB and that people had died on it. As for the improvements I would like to see some mroe flats added, especailly something to X-Base to make it feel more like an actual section, as well as a new dark ride, either where Crypt was or in the spot where the Action Theatre sits now. I'm not a big fan of Boo Blasters, it's fun but jsut seems so very cheap, but I woudl rather them build a new one to have 2 than replace it with something else. Though a refurb on ti would be nice as well.

I think renaming it to The Bat, with new trains and paint job would be good in addition to making that a new area in that corner as well. Could be a Dark Forest section ro something with The Bat and Banshee. They could even keep the rest of Action Zone as is as a seperate section. It would be a small section with only two coasters but X-Base and Oktoberfest are both about the same size. Plus it has room for expansion back there to add even more rides to it. This would allow it to be renamed for more of a reason as well with a retheming of an area and not making it sound just like a new ride either.

These sound liek they will be great additions and replacing a few mazes that were ready to go. Massacre Manor was ok but has been around for awhile now. Mysteria was a waste of space. And I enjoyed Cutthroat Cove when it was an actual house over near where Diamondback is now (Red Beard's Revenge then I believe), but this past year it was pathetic and not scary at all. Very excited about having 3 new haunts to explore. And really looking forward to Backwoods Bayou.

I think a top scan or screaming swing would be great. Could go well in X-Base. I'd also love to see a new top spin added into teh Crypt's building. Just make it a more realiable standard one, possibly with just a longer arm but standard base. Keep teh existing building and retheme it to being a mine shaft to fit the surrounding area.

I can't wait for Banshee. I was really hoping we'd get an invert as it was something very diferent from what we have already. Now that we have a more rounded coaster line-up I'd love to see a giga built over near Banshee as well in teh rest of SOB's old space. Something along the lines of I-305 than Leviathan though. We already have Diamondback for lots of hills and airtime. I think a great giga with a few hills that also hugs the terrain around teh woods would be amazing. Until then I would like to see a few flat rides added. Something to go in X-Base to make it more than just two coasters as well as a bathroom. And then something to go in the Crypt's old place. I think the space could be reworked easily into being a mine shaft to fit the Rivertown theme with either a standard top spin or some other flat ride in the building.
